Abstract

The pumps in Steam System PT XYZ frequently fail, resulting in a cumulative downtime of 15000 hours and potentially affecting output. The goal of this study is to examine the problem by 1) knowing the pump reliability, 2) evaluating the pump maintenance system using MVSM, and 3) offering recommendations based on the reliability and MVSM results in the Steam System Area of PT XYZ. The reliability values of pumps G04-III-A, G04-I-S, G04-I-A, G07-A, and G02-S were calculated as 52,20%, 45,59%, 50,19%, 47,09%, and 43,15%, respectively. The maintenance system was then evaluated using MVSM, yielding a Current State Map with a maintenance efficiency of 51%, a VA activity time of 8927 minutes, and an NVA activity time of 9672 minutes. The Future State Diagram The advice resulted in a 99% gain in maintenance efficiency, and NVA activity time was reduced by 9600 minutes. Maintenance time intervals on pumps G02-S, G04-I-A, G04-III-A, G04-I-S, and G07-A are recommended every 49 days, 31 days, 44 days, 35 days, and 76 days, respectively, while recommendations with the MVSM approach are in the form of eliminating the time delay that occurs when the material is not available, which is done by estimating the time the material is needed and the previous purchase time. This study concludes that by following the recommendations, the pump maintenance system in the Steam System Area of PT XYZ may be optimized.

Abstract

Abstract Kampung Pelayaran, which is located in North Balikpapan District, Prapatan Subdistrict, is a densely populated area with a fairly narrow yard area for each house. The lack of public open space that can accommodate community activities that function as social interactions and economic activities is the main problem faced at this time. The main occupations of the local community are office workers and housewives (IRT). This community service aims to empower people, especially those who work as IRTs, so that they can use their time more productively and generate added economic value. This community service program chose The hydroponic planting method due to limited land availability. The stages carried out are the delivery of theory, simulation, and direct practice in making hydroponic plants. The results obtained in this community service are increasing the knowledge and skills of the community in utilizing hydroponic plants and providing added value economically. Abstrak Kampung Pelayaran yang berlokasi di Kecamatan Balikpapan Utara Kelurahan Prapatan merupakan Kawasan padat penduduk dengan luasan halaman masing-masing rumah yang cukup sempit. Minimnya ruang terbuka publik yang dapat mewadahi aktivitas masyarakat yang berfungsi sebagai interaksi sosial dan kegiatan ekonomi merupakan permasalahan utama yang dihadapi saat ini. Pekerjaan utama masyarakat sekitar adalah pekerja kantoran dan Ibu Rumah Tangga (IRT). Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberdayakan masyarakat terkhusus yang bekerja sebagai IRT agar dapat memanfaatkan waktu lebih produktif dan menghasilkan nilai tambah ekonomi. Metode tanam hidroponik dipilih dalam program pengabdian masyarakat ini dikarenakan keterbatasan lahan yang ada. Tahapan yang dilakukan adalah penyampaian teori, simulasi, dan praktek secara langsung pembuatan tanaman hidroponik. Hasil yang didapatkan dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah peningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan tanaman hidroponik serta memberikan nilai tambah secara ekonomi.

Abstract

Proses utama dalam supply chain batubara di PT XYZ yang terdiri dari 3 kegiatan utama: stacking, peremukan, dan pemuatan batubara. Tujuh kegiatan detail diidentifikasi mulai dari penimbunan hingga pemindahan hasil peremukan. Visualisasi Current Value Stream Mapping (CVSM) dan Future Value Stream Mapping (FVSM) menunjukkan nilai Process Cycle Efficiency (PCE) masing-masing sebesar 77.8% dan 92.16%, mengindikasikan peningkatan efisiensi. Analisis menggunakan fishbone diagram mengidentifikasi empat faktor utama penyebab keterlambatan pengangkutan batubara: mesin (ban bocor, radiator rusak, terot patah), lingkungan (cuaca ekstrem, kondisi jalan buruk), metode (prosedur operasi tidak efisien), dan sumber daya manusia (kurangnya keterampilan operator).

Abstract

Adanya aktivitas manual handling pada aktivitas pencetakan tahu di rumah produksi di UMKM X memiliki risiko terjadinya musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) dikarenakan berat beban yang diangkat sebesar 25,80 kg, dibuktikan dengan telah dilakukan penelitian terhadap beban kerja yang diangkat oleh pekerja, dan didapatkan hasil nilai lifting Index lebih dari 1. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, maka diperlukan suatu penilaian terhadap postur pekerja saat pekerja mengangkat beban pada proses pencetakan tahu. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menganalisis nilai PEI pada postur pekerja dengan menggunakan metode Posture Evaluation Index pada software Tecnomatix Jack 8.4. Metode PEI digunakan untuk menentukan apakah suatu pekerjaan yang disimulasikan sudah optimal sehingga dapat dikatakan aman untuk terus dilakukan ataukah diperlukan suatu usulan perbaikan untuk menghindari kemungkinan risiko cedera yang dapat terjadi. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan terhadap evaluasi postur pekerja saat proses pencetakan tahu yang telah dilakukan yaitu didapatkan total enam gerakan saat proses pencetakan tahu, dan sari keenam gerakan tersebut didapatkan dua gerakan yang memiliki nilai PEI lebih dari 2, sehingga diperlukan konfigurasi usulan terhadap kedua gerakan tersebut agar sistem kerja yang dilakukan aman untuk terus dilakukan pekerja. Konfigurasi usulan yang diberikan yaitu dengan mengubah panjang meja dan membagi berat beban batu yang diangkat menjadi tiga, dan didapatkan enam gerakan mengangkat batu yang berbeda memiliki nilai PEI kurang dari 2, ini berarti konfigurasi usulan yang diberikan terhadap sistem kerja dapat dikatakan aman untuk dilakukan oleh pekerja.

Abstract

Simulasi desain implan sendi pinggul bertujuan untuk menganalisis total deformasi maksimum, tegangan prinsipal maksimum, dan tegangan geser maksimum dengan kombinasi variasi waktu, gerakan, dan pembebanan. Simulasi memungkinkan suatu objek diujicobakan secara visual sebelum diproduksi sebagai purwarupa. Fungsi dari simulasi adalah untuk meminimalisir terjadinya kegagalan dan untuk memangkas biaya produksi. Sebelum memulai simulasi suatu objek perlu dibuatkan desain. Desain dalam penelitian ini menggunakan software CAD yakni Inventor 2014, sedangkan analisis metode elemen hingga dalam desain implan memanfaatkan simulasi ANSYS 18.1. Analisis metode elemen hingga didasarkan pada aktivitas berjalan, melompat, dan menuruni tangga selama kurun waktu 0 detik hingga 4,5 detik. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa desain implan sendi pinggul menghasilkan 4079 nodal, 2157 Elemen, dan total deformasi maksimum sebesar 0,097 mm (berjalan), 0,2 mm (melompat), dan 0,11 mm (menuruni tangga). Tegangan prinsipal maksimum adalah 32 MPa (berjalan), 66,96 MPa (melompat), dan 73,93 MPa (menuruni tangga). Tegangan geser maksimum adalah 19,74 MPa (berjalan), 41,28 MPa (melompat), dan 45,58 MPa (menuruni tangga).Kata kunci: simulasi; implan sendi pinggul; metode elemen hingga; Mg Alloy.The simulation of the hip joint implant design aims to analyze maximum total deformation, maximum principal stress, and maximum shear stress with a combination of variations in time, motion and loading. Simulation allows an object to be tested visually before being produced as a prototype. Function of simulation is to minimize the occurrence of failures and to cut production costs. Before starting to simulate an object a design needs to be made. The design in this study used CAD software, namely Inventor 2014, while the finite element method analysis in implant design used ANSYS 18.1 simulation. Finite element method analysis is based on walking, jumping and descending stairs over a period of 0 seconds to 4.5 seconds. Simulation results show that hip joint implant design produces 4079 nodals, 2157 elements, and a maximum total deformation of 0.097 mm (walking), 0.2 mm (jumping), and 0.11 mm (descending stairs). Maximum principal stresses are 32 MPa (walking), 66.96 MPa (jumping), and 73.93 MPa (descending stairs). Abstract

The ecotourism environment must be kept clean and sustainable for the sake of sustainability and comfort of visitors. Bukit Kebo Tourism Area is one of the many ecotourism and edutourism destinations in Balikpapan City. With the increasing number of visitors (tourists) to Bukit Kebo, it has an impact on the increase in the volume of waste produced. The increase in the volume of waste has not been managed properly, because the waste is only piled up and burned. Where the impact of hoarding can provide the potential for environmental pollution and the results of burning waste also cause pollution. In overcoming these problems, a solution is offered by using the concept of a waste bank to manage waste, as well as providing assistance to partners about the importance of recycling waste. In addition, education is also carried out for visitors to increase awareness and attention about the importance of maintaining environmental cleanliness through the installation of appeal plaques and campaigns through the distribution of brochures. The results of the responses given by management partners and visitors show quite positive results regarding the impacts given from the results of activities to always maintain environmental sustainability and cleanliness, especially in tourist areas.

Abstract

Pengembangan teknologi biokomposit di Indonesia memiliki prospek yang sangat potensial karena ketersediaan sumber daya alam, khususnya hasil pertanian dan limbahnya yang melimpah dan dapat diperoleh sepanjang tahun. Serat kenaf merupakan salah hasil pertanian yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber serat untuk biokomposit. Penggunaan partikel berskala nano digunakan makin banyak partikel yang berinteraksi, kian kuat pula material. Inilah yang membuat ikatan antar partikel makin kuat, sehingga sifat mekanik materialnya bertambah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui karakteristik nano partikel polypropylene dengan serat kenaf menggunakan metode Hand Lay Up (HLU) untuk menggantikan fiber glass sebagai filler pada komposit bermatrik polimer. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen, yakni menguji hipotesis berbentuk hubungan sebab-akibat melalui pemanipulasian variable independen dan menguji perubahan yang diakibatkan oleh pemanipulasian tersebut. Desain penelitian menggunakan teknik analisis untuk menganalisis data yang diperoleh dari hasil pengujian. Hasil pengujian tarik menunjukan gaya tarik maksimum komposit berpenguat serat kenaf adalah 1781,15 N, sedangkan kekuatan tarik maksimum komposit adalah 4,75 MPa. Pengujian tekuk diperoleh rata-rata kekuatan tekuk sebesar 81,84 MPa. Dari data hasil pengujian menunjukan bahwa spesimen yang diperkuat serat kenaf masih belum dapat menandingi kekuatan serat fiberglass.

Abstract

Manual handling in workshop activities has the potential to cause greater injury to workers than moving goods with the help of tools. Therefore, this study conducted an analysis of the risk of occupational diseases using the PEI method in the workshop department with the aim of evaluating the work posture of workers in Manual Material Handling activities. The simulation with Technomatic Jack 8.4 software that has been run shows the calculation of the PEI value based on the LBA, OWAS, and RULA values in 10 manual handling movements. It was found that there were two movements that had a PEI value of more than 2 (Middle - Low Injury) which means it is dangerous if it continues to be done, both movements include movements when lifting the breakdrum and when moving the breakdrum, the LBA obtained has a value exceeding the NIOSH standard of 3400 N, in the same movement the OWAS produced is worth 4 and 3, and RULA in the same movement has a value of 7. So that in the movements when lifting the breakdrum and when moving the breakdrum, work improvements are needed to avoid injury.

Abstract

Effective distribution of COVID-19 vaccines is crucial for pandemic control. This study utilized a multi-product mixed-integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) model to optimize the distribution of five vaccine types across (AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, Moderna, Pfizer, and Sinovac). The population, segmented into five age groups (12-18 years, 19-30 years, 31-45 years, 46-59 years and over 60 years), accesses vaccines through 59 healthcare facilities in one of the large cities in Indonesia. With a budget of IDR 150 billion, the model procured five vaccine a total of 574,748 vaccine doses, distributed as follows: 112,954 of type 1, 115,733 of type 2, 115,649 of type 3, 112,171 of type 4, and 118,241 of type 5 vaccines. The model successfully optimized the distribution, achieving a delivery-to-demand ratio of 0.049, which reflects the proportion of vaccine demand met under various scenarios, particularly in scenario 4, which represents actual conditions. Decision-makers can further enhance vaccine allocation by adjusting the total budget; for instance, an additional IDR 10 billion would enable the distribution of 123,474 more doses, increasing the delivery-to-demand ratio to 0.056. This ratio of 0.056 was obtained by adjusting the total budget allocated for vaccine distribution in scenario 5, based on the results from AMPL and Gurobi software. A significant contribution of this study is the development of a MINLP model that ensures equitable distribution tailored to age-specific pandemic requirements. Validation using real-world data enhances the existing literature on vaccine distribution strategies. This study provides valuable insights for policymakers and managers aiming to optimize resource allocation and distribution strategies for COVID-19 vaccination programs, thereby improving overall pandemic management efficiency.

Abstract

Program pengabdiaan masyarakat atau PkM merupakan salah satu kewajiban yang harus dilaksanakan oleh dosen (peneliti). Pelatihan melaksanakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan mitra MI Fathul Ulum menjadi salah satu wahana atas kurangnya kesadaran guru terkait dengan peningkatan kompetensinya pada sekolah mitra. Kegiatan PkM ini terbagi dalam tiga fase atau tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan terakhir evaluasi dengan pendekatan participatory action research (PAR). PAR memiliki kelebihan sebagai jenis pendekatan atau metode PkM ini karena PAR bersifat saling menguntungkan dengan memecahkan masalah yang paling mendesak di sekolah mitra yaitu permasalahan terkait pembelajaran. Setelah kegiatan PkM ini selesai, tidak hanya peneliti yang memperoleh manfaat tetapi pihak-pihak lain juga memperoleh manfaat, yaitu; sekolah mitra, guru, dan siswa.
