Abstract

Indonesia as a developing country has become a country with a systematic infrastructure focus, with constant infrastructure growth making Indonesia a development country. Infrastructure, especially in the context of building or construction, has a linear relationship with the condition of construction workers, where construction workers are one of the main driving forces in the sustainability of development in Indonesia. However, the central role of this worker is not always followed by the worker's obedience to the applicable regulations in this case K3 construction. Work accidents in the construction sector increase every year, recorded as many as 114,148 throughout 2018 although it decreased to 77,295 cases in 2019, not diminishing the indication that construction workers should receive special treatment to reduce the number of work accidents. The development of technology is the basis for thinking for innovation in making platforms to cover almost every aspect of life, so the implementation of technology in an effort to provide special education to construction workers is expected to be optimal. The design of this concept uses participatory design and usability testing, to involve workers and stakeholders directly in the design process. The output of this research is an application concept design along with the percentage of effectiveness and efficiency that has gone through a pilot test process to end users, in this case construction workers and other stakeholders

Abstract

PT. Vale Indonesia Tbk. is a company engaged in the mining industry, particularly in nickel processing (Ni). The company operates a power plant at Balambano Hydroelectric Power Plant (2x68.5 MW). The company's usual maintenance practice is limited to corrective maintenance, which involves replacing or repairing components only when they are damaged. The aim of this research is to determine the optimal replacement time for preventive maintenance on turbine machines in order to minimize downtime. The age replacement method is used to calculate the replacement interval for components based on their usage life. The research findings show that the mean time to failure (MTTF) of the wicket gate is 2217.824 hours or 92.41 days, which means that the component may experience failure again after operating for that MTTF duration. Therefore, the recommendation is to replace the component every 85 days of operation and perform inspections every 15 days.

Abstract

Clean water distribution machines are very important for local drinking water companies to be able to supply clean water to customers. The need for water continues to increase, so an analysis is needed to determine the decline in engine pump performance in the production process. Maintenance activities need to be carried out to maintain the reliability (realiability) of the machine so that it can operate properly. Therefore, a good strategy is needed to maintain the continuity of the production process. The purpose of this research is to measure the performance of the water distribution pump machine / equipment associated with the low level of clean water production, to identify the losses experienced by the company. The Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) value obtained before repairs were carried out in November 2019 for Lapi I was 69.38% and Lapi II was 69. 75% while in December 2019 for Lapi I it was 74.02% and Lapi II was 73.65% still below the JIPM standard, namely ≥85%. From the results of the six big losses, the clean water distribution pump machine as a whole still needs evaluation to make improvements in increasing effectiveness and productivity, especially in the problem of redeuced speed losses so that suggestions can be made to improve the clean water distribution machine. After repairs in January 2020 for Lapi I was 87.90% and Lapi II was 87.26% while in February 2020 for Lapi I it was 90.34% and Lapi II was 85.81%. Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to find out what attributes are the needs of consumers in the development of coffee product packaging. Attributes are the needs of consumers in the development of coffee product packaging. Design/methodology/approach: This study uses the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method to analyse the Development of Budi's MSME Coffee Packaging Products in Luwu Regency Based on Consumer Preferences. Findings: The result of this study is the attributes that are the needs of consumers in the development of coffee product packaging, namely there are 12 attributes, which must be fulfilled in producing quality coffee product packaging, the resulting packaging product is a standing pouch-shaped packaging that uses a combination of cream and brown colours, packaging label design in the form of stickers and packaging sizes vary. The brand position and logo are placed on the front of the packaging and product information on the back of the packaging. Research limitations/implications: Respondents in this study were consumers who consumed coffee products. The implementation stage of QFD only reached product packaging planning (house of quality), packaging costs were not discussed in this study and did not involve costs in this study. Originality/value: Coffee is one of the plantation crops that has long been cultivated in Indonesia and holds an important part for the national economy as one of the export commodities. So packaging becomes very important because it becomes an interagency with consumers, therefore the packaging must be able to provide a spontaneous impression that affects the positive actions of consumers at the point of sale. The packaging used in UMKM Budi still uses ordinary plastics that are still not in demand by consumers and coffee product packaging does not have clear information about products so it is less marketable and difficult to compete in the market.
