Abstract

The presidential election, which is one of the elections in Indonesia, is conducted through a direct election procedure. In the 2024 presidential election, there are many challenges and obstacles in carrying out journalistic duties. In the 2024 presidential election, journalists often put themselves in situations that occur during the coverage of news in the field. The high level of occupational danger in mass media and journalism in the coverage of the presidential election is considered an inappropriate job for women. The purpose of this study is to determine the competence of women journalists in covering news of the Indonesian presidential election of 2024 at Antaranews.com. Competency standards for journalists, based on Press Council Regulation Number: 1/ Regulation-DP/II/2010 on Journalist Competency Standards. In this study, researchers used 2 theories, namely muted group theory and social responsibility theory. The conclusion in this study is that female journalists in Antaranews are very competent in covering the Indonesian presidential election 2024. It is because female journalists have awareness, knowledge, and skills in covering the 2024 presidential election.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan dalam komunikasi persuasif dalam rangka penyuluhan kesehatan reproduksi remaja di SMA Negeri 1 Siak. Penyuluhan ini sangat penting mengingat masih kurangnya pemahaman remaja mengenai masalah kesehatan reproduksi yang dapat berdampak pada kesejahteraan mereka di masa depan. Pendampingan dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan pendekatan komunikasi persuasif yang disusun untuk menyampaikan informasi dengan cara yang menarik, mudah dipahami, dan mendorong perubahan perilaku positif. Metode yang diterapkan mencakup penyuluhan, diskusi interaktif, serta penggunaan media visual untuk memudahkan pemahaman materi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan kesadaran siswa mengenai kesehatan reproduksi, serta perubahan sikap mereka dalam menjaga kesehatan tubuh. Selain itu, keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam kegiatan ini menjadi indikator suksesnya pendekatan komunikasi persuasif yang diterapkan. Program pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi signifikan pada pendidikan kesehatan remaja dan dapat menjadi model bagi program penyuluhan serupa di sekolah-sekolah lainnya.

Abstract

Education in Indonesia faces challenges in producing human resources that are competitive in the era of globalization. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of off-the-job training in improving the competencies of teachers at SMA Negeri 8 Pekanbaru. The methodology used is a qualitative approach with a phenomenological case study, involving semi-structured interviews with three teachers who have participated in the training. Data were collected to understand participants' experiences, the contribution of the training to professional development, and the application of acquired skills. The results indicate that diverse training methods, such as games and simulations, are highly effective in enhancing pedagogical skills and understanding of the material. Participants reported increased student interest and engagement, as well as positive responses to the teaching methods applied. This research emphasizes the importance of continuous training to support teachers' professional development, which in turn will improve the quality of education in Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pengaruh pendidikan kader kesehatan terhadap pelayanan kesehatan masyarakat, pokok permasalahan pada penelitian ini ialah Apakah Semakin Tinggi Pendidikan Kader Kesehatan Berpengaruh Terhadap Pelayanan Kesehatan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh pendidikan kader kesehatan terhadap pelayanan kesehatan masyarakat. variabel pada penelitian ini ada yaitu pendidikan kader kesehatan (X) memiliki 3 indikator dan pelayanan kesehatan masyarakat (Y) memiliki 3 indikator. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan menyebarkan kuesioner penelitian kepada 38 orang kader kesehatan sebagai sampel untuk memperoleh data yang dibutuhkan dengan menggunakan metode Total Sampling. Alat analisis yang digunakan adalah uji regresi linear sederhana dan uji korelasi pearson product moment yang diolah dengan bantuan aplikasi SPSS versi 24. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan melalui uji korelasi pearson product moment bahwa pendidikan kader kesehatan memiliki pengaruh terhadap pelayanan kesehatan masyarakat Kelurahan Bumi Ayu Kecamatan Dumai Selatan Kota Dumai sebesar 0,725 atau setara dengan 72,5 % pada tingkat kuat, sedangkan 27,5 % dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain yang tidak diteliti. Kemudian bentuk pengaruhnya adalah positif artinya semakin tinggi pendidikan kader kesehatan maka semakin tinggi pula pelayanan kesehatan masyarakat.
