Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes on the material of one-variable linear equation and inequalities system by applyning the cooperativ types STAD model. The subjects in the study were all eighth grade students of SMP Kristen Tounwawan with a total of 25 students. This research is a Classroom Action Research with the teacher acting as a teacher acting as a teacher and lasts for 3 cycles. Data was collected using tests and observations. The data analysis technique uses quantitative analysis and quantitative analysis. The results of the analysis showed that there was an increase in student learning outcomens from the first cycle, 20% (5 students) who achieved the KKM 60 to the second cycle 48% (12 students) who reachd the KKM 60 and the cycle, 100% (25 students) who reach KKM . From the results obtained, the coopeative learning model of the material of a two-variable linear equation system.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to (1) analyze the achievement of high-level mathematical thinking skills of students who received learning with generative models and learning with conventional models, (2) analyze the increase in students' high-level mathematical thinking skills between those who receive generative learning models and conventional learning models, (3) See the effect of students' KAM (Initial Mathematical Ability) levels in the high, medium, and low categories on the high-level mathematical thinking abilities of students who receive generative learning models and conventional learning models, and (4) The magnitude of the interaction between the generative learning model and the KAM (Initial Mathematical Ability) level of students in the high, medium, and low categories on the improvement of high-level mathematical thinking skills of students who received generative learning models and conventional learning models. This research is experimental with a pretest-posttest control group design. Based on the results of this study, it can be seen that (1) there are differences in the attainment of high-level mathematical thinking skills between students who are taught by generative learning models and conventional learning models, (2) There is a significant difference in the improvement of students' high-level mathematical thinking skills between students who are taught with generative learning models and students who are taught with conventional learning models, (3) For the KAM level of students in the high, medium, and low categories, it does not significantly affect the improvement of high-level mathematical thinking abilities of students who obtain generative learning models and conventional learning models, and (4) There is no interaction between the KAM level (high, medium, or low) and the learning model towards increasing the high-level thinking skills of students who receive generative learning models and conventional learning models

Abstract

Problem solving analysis is the process of sorting or investigating a problem from complex to simple by paying attention to the rules and logical steps in order to find a solution to a problem using adequate understanding and knowledge, so that the problem being sorted or investigated can be resolved. well and correctly. Based on the results of the researcher's interview with one of the mathematics subject teachers in class VII of SMP Negeri 8 Ambon, it was found that during the learning process on comparative material, many students were able to work on questions but only the questions were the same as the examples given and explained by the teacher. The aim to be achieved in this research is to describe the process of student problem solving on comparative material based on the Newman procedure in class VII of SMP Negeri 8 Ambon. The type of research used is qualitative descriptive research. This research describes the comparative problem solving process based on the Newman procedure. The subjects in this research were 2 students with the initials TK and JKL who were chosen with consideration, students answered all questions correctly based on problem solving indicators, and students who were able to communicate well and according to the considerations of teachers at the school. Based on the results of the problem solving test and interview results, it was found that both subjects were capable of solving problems according to the problem solving indicators

Abstract

Hypothetical learning trajectory (HLT) merupakan dugaan pemikiran siswa dalam aktivitas pembelajaran yang dirancang oleh guru agar tujuan pembelajaran dapat tercapai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan HLT pada materi luas persegi dan persegi panjang melalui pendidikan matematika realistik indonesia (PMRI) di siswa kelas IV MIS Al-Hilaal Wanakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan menggunakan metode penelitian design research.Tahapan design research terdiri dari tiga fase, yaitu persiapan desain, percobaan desain, dan analisis retrospektif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini ada 20 siswa yang dibagi menjadi dua yaitu 10 siswa pada pilot experiment dan 10 siswa lainnya pada teaching experiment. Analisis data kualitatif yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Penelitian ini menghasilkan Local instruction theory (LIT) pada materi luas persegi dan persegi panjang. LIT yang dihasilkan terdiri dari lima aktivitas pembelajaran antara lain a) mengamati benda, b) menyusun kotak satuan, c) menentukan banyaknya kotak satuan, baris serta kolom, d) membuat sketsa gambar dan menyajikan data, dan e) menentukan rumus luas persegi dan persegi panjang.

Abstract

Poor knowledge of mathematical concepts leads to poor math learning outcomes among students. Good reasoning will equip students to explain and argue mathematically. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine the comparison of learning outcomes and learning styles of students on trigonometric comparison material in right triangles. The variables in this study are visual learning style, auditorial learning style, and kinesthetic learning style (VAK) as independent variables and math learning outcomes as dependent variables. The participants in this study amounted to 77 people who came from the tenth grade, majoring in mathematics and natural sciences. The data used in this research is quantitative. Quantitative data is data in the form of numbers obtained from the results of a questionnaire consisting of 21 questions and mathematics learning outcomes received after working on a description question with as many as 3 numbers. The data analysis technique in this study is using the Mann Whitney-U test. The results of the survey obtained 23 or 29.9% of students with visual learning styles, 41 or 53.2% of students with auditory learning styles, and 13 or 16.9% of students with kinesthetic learning styles. The average learning outcome of students with a visual learning style is 70.09, students with an auditorial learning style are 71.72, and students with a kinesthetic learning style are 69.29. Based on the results of the analysis using SPSS 26.0, the significance value of each paired group of learning styles is more than the significance level α = 0.05. Therefore, there is no difference in math learning outcomes between students whose learning styles are visual, auditory, and kinesthetic.

Abstract

Operasi bentuk aljabar merupakan salah satu materi yang penting diajarkan di SMP, karena pembelajaran aljabar sangat bermanfaat bagi siswa dalam memahami materi yang lain maupun konsep aljabar di jejang pendidikan yang lebih tinggi. Penelitian ini mengkaji bagaimana meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Head together ( NHT) pada materi operasi bentuk aljabar di kelas VII SMP. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together (NHT) pada materi operasi bentuk aljabar di kelas VII SMP. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research) dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui lembar observasi dan tes akhir siklus. Subjek dalam penelitian, yaitu 20 orang siswa. Hasil penelitian menujukan bahwa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together (NHT) terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar dimana hasil tes siklus I yang mencapai kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM) lebih dari atau sama dengan 60 (≥60) adalah 6 orang siswa dengan persentase 30%. Pada siklus II yang mencapai kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM) lebih dari atau sama dengan 60 (≥60) adalah 13 orang siswa dengan persentase 65%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together (NHT) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VII SMP pada materi operasi bentuk aljabar.

Abstract

Pemecahan masalah merupakan salah satu bagian utama dalam pembelajaran matematika. siswa masih menganggap bahwa pemecahan masalah matematika itu tidak mudah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan maslaah matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Katolik Ambon ditinjau dari gender dalam menyelesaikan soal berbasis literasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 4 orang siswa yakni 2 orang siswa laki – laki dan 2 orang siswa perempuan yang dipilih berdasarkan jawaban hasil tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari instrumen tes sebagai instrumen utama, dan pedoman wawancara, dan rekaman . pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes tertulis dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data dengan mereduksi data, menyajikan data, dan melakukan triangulasi waktu dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penenlitian menunjukkan bahwasiswa laki -laki lebih dominan, ini dapat dilihat melalui langkah – langkah pemecahan masalah dengan benar. Namun, siswa perempuan kurang tepat pada indikator memahami masalah pada soal nomor 1 dibandingkan dengan siswa laki -laki. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika antara siswa laki – laki dan siswa perempuan adalah siswa laki -laki lebih dominan dibandingksn denga siswa perempuan.

Abstract

The learning model has an essential role in student learning outcomes. Each learning model has different contributions, such as the Scramble learning model, which can make students think quickly, and the CORE learning model can train students to think critically. Thus, this study aims to compare students' learning outcomes with the two models, especially in arithmetic operations in algebraic forms. The research method used is quantitative research with a posttest-only group design classified as a quasi-experimental design. The research population was forty-five seventh-grade students, which were divided into two categories. The test instrument used is a description of five questions used to evaluate student learning outcomes. The study results analyzed statistically using the t-test showed that there were differences in student learning outcomes between the two groups of students. Furthermore, the continued test using Pairwise Comparison showed that students taught with the Scramble learning model had better learning outcomes than students acquainted with the CORE learning model.

Abstract

Penelitian ini tujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya perbedaan hasil belajar peserta didik yang diajarkan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share dan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning pada materi segiempat di kelas VII. Tipe penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen (Experimental Research) dengan menggunakan desain penelitian the posttest only control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh peserta didik kelas VII SMP Kristen 1 Seram Barat dengan jumlah 84 peserta didik dan sampel dipilih menggunakan purposive sampling yaitu kelas VIIb dengan jumlah 28 peserta didik dan kelas VIIc dengan jumlah 28 peserta didik, sehingga jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu 54 peserta didik. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu instrumen tes yang terdiri dari 5 soal uraian. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis statistik uji-t dan diperoleh hasil akhir penelitian yaitu ada perbedaan hasil belajar peserta didik yang diajarkan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share dan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning pada materi segiempat. Hal ini ditunjukkan pada hasil perhitungan uji-t yaitu Sig.(2-tailed)=0.000 < , sehingga menyebabkan ditolak dan diterima
