Abstract

Background : The occurrence of HIV among pregnant women has an impact on the process of pregnancy and childbirth which further leads to the need for interprofessional collaborative practices between health workers in the treatment of HIV among pregnant women. Objective : The aim of this study was to scrutinize the interprofessional collaborative practices in the treatment of HIV among pregnant women. This was achieved by clarifying if and how implementation of scientific study was used in the interprofessional collaborative practices in the treatment of HIV among pregnant women.  Method : To map relevant literature, a scoping review was conducted to articles published between January 2015 and December 2020, guided by a method consists of five stages approach. Specifically, the following academic databases were systematically searched to identify publications that presented findings on identifying scoping review questions with the PEOS framework (Population, Exposure, Outcome, Study Design), identifying relevant articles using the PubMed, Scopus, Science Direct, and Grey Literature (Google Scholar) Information about each study was extracted using a purposely designed data extraction form and database with keyword with keywords, carrying out the Critical Appraisal using Hawker tools, charting and compiling data, summarizing and reporting results. Results : Of the 60 articles with relevant titles and abstracts, 4 articles were identified to meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria with grade A. Besides, four themes were found, namely roles, barriers, interpersonal communication, and patient-centred services in the interprofessional collaborative practices of HIV treatment among pregnant women. Conclusion : The role of midwives and doctors was indispensable in implementing informed consent, counseling, HIV screening, and HIV treatment training. The barriers encountered by midwives and doctors were the lack of clinical skills, limited infrastructure such as teaching aids for training, the lack of funding budget from policy makers, and the lack of communicative competence. As suggestion for the next review, this review could submit register review protocols-namely, PROSPERO and the Joanna Briggs Institute to ascertain by searching databases and the online platforms of organizations.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how providing balanced nutritious food affects the incidence of stunting in toddlers. The method used is scoping review with the PRISMA-ScR framework and scoping review questions with the PICO framework. Article searches were conducted through the Pubmed, ScienceDirect and Wiley databases with Critical Appraisal based on The Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI). The results showed that three main themes were found, namely: 1) knowledge, affecting the growth and development of children, the higher the mother's education, the better her level of knowledge; 2) economic status, which influences the incidence of stunting because if the economic status is good, then the family is not lacking in terms of food; 3) good feeding practices, is an indicator to assess the optimal fulfillment of a child's nutritional needs. In conclusion, providing nutritious food with balanced nutrition for children is the main factor that significantly influences the incidence of stunting in toddlers. Abstract

ABSTRACT Background: Globally, it is found that around 149 million children under five are stunted. In Asia and Africa, the prevalence of stunting in children under the age of five is known to reach 55% and 39%, respectively. Meanwhile, the stunting rate in Indonesia is 27.7%. New scientific findings related to personal factors that include knowledge, attitudes, self-efficacy, collaboration, and communication were found to increase interprofessional collaboration handling for stunting. Purpose: To review the practice of interprofessional collaboration in handling stunting during the Covid-19 pandemic. Methods: The method used in the scoping review consists of five stages, including identification of Scoping Review questions, identification of relevant studies, study selection, mapping of data to be compiled, summarized, and reported on the results. PEOs are a tool that can be used to assist health workers in searching the literature. Use, relevant databases are used, namely PubMed, Google Scholar, Science Direct. Results: A total of 71 articles were found on a search in the database. After screening titles and abstract references, 4 articles were found that had grades A and B. Interprofessional collaboration was found to be able to work well together in 2020 where this year was the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. In this case, the handling of stunting by the collaboration of the role of health workers is very necessary. For this reason, health workers carry out good management to reduce the risk of stunting, one of which is by providing health education and social assistance. Conclusion: Collaboration was found to be successful in increasing the knowledge of health workers between professions. Given the differences between theory and perceptions about communication and collaboration, Interprofessional collaboration, in this case, is a collaboration between Doctors, Nurses, Midwives, and Nutritionists in dealing with stunting through counseling according to their respective roles.
