Abstract

Di tengah perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi, perpustakaan memiliki tantangan yang cukup besar untuk mengimbangi agar tidak ditinggalkan oleh penggunanya. Perpustakaan Kalbis Institute mencobanya dengan cara berpromosi di berbagai media sosial. Saat ini, instagram menjadi salah satu media sosial yang paling luas jangkauannya. Banyak upaya yang dilakukan oleh perpustakaan untuk promosi, salah satunya adalah program Kalbis Library Quiz melalui akun Instagram @kalbislibrary. Perpustakaan memanfaatkan program Kalbis Library Quiz untuk mendapatkan keterlibatan pengikut (engagement). Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisis program Kalbis Library Quiz sebagai media promosi menggunakan konsep AIDA (Attention, Interest, Desire, dan Action). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik observasi yang dilakukan oleh pustakawan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa upaya promosi yang dilakukan perpustakaan Kalbis Institute dalam membuat program Kalbis Library quiz di Instagram cukup memenuhi elemen AIDA yaitu aspek attention. Saat program mulai berjalan, attention bisa dikatakan masih kurang. Namun, dengan inovasi, attention kemudian mulai diperoleh menyusul kemudian dengan action.

Abstract

In the ever-evolving digital era, libraries increasingly face the challenge of remaining relevant and connected to a fast-moving society. To expand reach and increase engagement, libraries are now involving themselves in social media platforms, and one of them is TikTok. Libraries' use of the live TikTok feature is a progressive step in presenting information, promoting collections, and building communities in cyberspace. Live TikTok provides a dynamic platform for librarians to communicate in real-time with patrons. How can this development improve the library's On-Fleek Promotion concept in interacting with today's digital society? The research method used is qualitative with an observational approach. Data was collected through direct observation of library live broadcasts on TikTok, including interactions between librarians and users, the type of content presented, and user responses. Analysis is carried out by detailing the findings that emerge from these interactions. The research results show that TikTok's live feature provides an interactive platform for libraries to communicate directly with followers. Observations reveal that live TikTok is effective in building user engagement, especially through comments, likes, and virtual gifts. Librarians can actively respond to questions, provide book recommendations, and explain library services. By combining qualitative and observational research methods, this study provides an in-depth understanding of the dynamics of interactions in the library's live TikTok environment. The implications of these findings provide guidance for libraries in designing more effective content strategies and enriching user experiences on these social media platforms.

Abstract

The rapid development of social media has significantly impacted interfaith dialogue, enabling discussions to transcend physical boundaries. TikTok, a popular social media platform, has become a major space for interfaith discourse, but ethical violations such as ad hominem attacks, misinformation, and disrespectful interactions often undermine productive discussions. This study critically examines communication ethics in TikToks live interfaith dialogues through the lens of Al-Ghazalis ethical communication principles. We collected data using a qualitative approach by observing TikTok live sessions and interviewing individuals involved in these discussions. Findings indicate widespread ethical violations, including personal attacks, rigid truth claims, and emotionally driven arguments. These behaviors contradict Al-Ghazalis emphasis on respectful, knowledge-based, and morally grounded communication. The study highlights the risks of religious cyber-balkanization, where social media discussions reinforce ideological divisions rather than fostering mutual understanding. Furthermore, the lack of moderation and ethical standards exacerbates these issues, reducing the potential of TikTok as a platform for constructive religious dialogue. This research contributes to the broader discourse on digital ethics by contextualizing classical Islamic communication principles within modern online interactions. It calls for platform-specific ethical guidelines, improved moderation policies, and awareness campaigns to promote respectful interfaith discussions. Future research should explore the effectiveness of AI-driven moderation tools in mitigating online hate speech while preserving open dialogue. By addressing these ethical concerns, social media forms can become more inclusive and supportive of meaningful interfaith engagement.

Abstract

The humanist communication training at Teens Community aims to improve intergenerational communication skills based on human values. In the era of Society 5.0, dependence on technology has reduced human interaction to medium-based communication, thus reducing the quality of face-to-face communication. Teens Community, a Christian youth community aged 12-18 years under the auspices of GBI Rosypinna, faces challenges in building effective and humanist communication, especially in delivering messages based on empathy, respect, and compassion. The training method involves delivering materials, group discussions, and interactive debates, which allow participants to practice intergenerational communication scenarios directly. The training was carried out in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation, with materials arranged based on community needs. The results showed increased participants' understanding of the importance of humanist values ​​in communication. Participants could apply the principles of humanist communication, although this training was still partial. The literature supports that ongoing training is needed to strengthen the impact and sustainability of the program. The conclusion indicates that this training provides substantive benefits both for participants in improving communication skills and for the implementing team as an effort to apply knowledge. The program's continuation is recommended to create a more profound impact on the Teens Community in building communication based on humanist values.

Abstract

Abstrak: Teori strukturasi diperkenalkan oleh Anthony Giddens menjelaskan sistem sosial dibangun dan dilanggengkan dalam ruang dan waktu melalui hubungan timbal balik antara pelaku dan struktur. Melalui teori ini Giddens mencoba mencari jalan tengah dari pandangan dominan pada struktur dan pandangan human agency. Para aktor melakukan aktivitas berulang dalam mereproduksi struktur. Aktor atau agen ialah orang-orang yang secara berkesinambungan mengalami suatu persitiwa dalam kehidupan (Giddens 1979, 55). Sedangkan struktur didefnisikan sebagai aturan (rules) dan sumber daya (resource) yang terbentuk dari dan membentuk perulangan praktik sosial. Munculnya tindak pelanggaran Hak Cipta dengan berbagai bentuk danjenisnya, kuantitas maupun kualitas oleh media merupakan anomali dari praktik strukturasi akibat aktor yang melakukan aktivitas berulang dalam struktur justru mendukung pelanggaran tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan kerangka analisis teori strukturasi yang dikembangkan oleh Antony Giddens dan menggunakan pendekatan secara yuridis normatif yaitu merupakan studi dokumen, yakni dengan menggunakan sumber data sekunder berupa peraturah-peraturan, perundang- undangan, teori-teori hukum dan pendapat para sarjana hukum terkemuka terhadap pelanggaran hak cipta dalam konten yang diproduksi oleh media massa online.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran komunikasi internal dalam mendukung keberhasilan proses perubahan organisasi. Perubahan organisasi yang efektif memerlukan strategi komunikasi yang jelas dan tepat untuk mengelola ketidakpastian, resistensi, serta memastikan keterlibatan seluruh anggota organisasi. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode wawancara mendalam dan studi kasus pada Universitas Kalbis yang sedang menjalani perubahan struktural dan kepimpinan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi internal yang terbuka, transparan, dan dua arah sangat penting dalam mengurangi ketegangan serta meningkatkan pemahaman dan partisipasi karyawan terhadap perubahan yang sedang berlangsung. Peran pemimpin organisasi sangat menentukan dalam menyampaikan visi dan tujuan perubahan, di mana komunikasi dari pimpinan yang konsisten dan empatik dapat memotivasi karyawan untuk mendukung perubahan. Selain itu, penggunaan media komunikasi yang bervariasi, seperti rapat daring, email dan platform komunikasi internal, berperan penting dalam menjangkau seluruh lapisan karyawan dengan cara yang efektif. Meskipun demikian, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa masih terdapat tantangan dalam mengelola komunikasi selama perubahan, seperti ketidakjelasan pesan atau perbedaan persepsi antara manajer dan karyawan. Berdasarkan temuan ini, penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar perusahaan memperkuat saluran komunikasi dua arah, meningkatkan pelatihan komunikasi untuk pemimpin dan karyawan, serta memanfaatkan teknologi digital untuk meningkatkan efektivitas komunikasi internal dalam menghadapi perubahan organisasi.

Abstract

Toxic masculinity refers to male behavioral patterns that promote dominance, emotional repression, and aggression, often to the detriment of themselves and others. This study investigates how young women in South Bekasi interpret toxic masculinity as represented in the television series Euphoria. Using Stuart Hall’s Encoding-Decoding theory as the analytical framework, the study employs a qualitative research approach through in-depth interviews with five informants aged 23–26. The research adopts a constructivist paradigm to understand how individual and social contexts shape audience reception. Findings reveal that all participants align with the dominant-hegemonic position, interpreting toxic masculinity by the filmmaker’s constructed message. This study highlights the significant influence of media representations on audience perceptions of gender norms. Furthermore, it contributes to the broader discourse on how mass media perpetuates or challenges traditional gender expectations among youth, particularly in an Indonesian sociocultural context.

Abstract

In the world of commerce, a new trend is developing where selling and promoting products via live streaming on social media platforms is increasingly in demand. TikTok, as one of the main platforms, has launched the TikTok Shop feature which offers live streaming services, becoming a favorite for Indonesian people to shop. Direct interaction between sellers and buyers in live streaming creates a new and interesting shopping experience. The aim of this research is to categorize online stores based on the messaging approach used and evaluate their effectiveness. Qualitative content analysis methods were used in this research. The results show that online stores that use a combined group messaging approach tend to be more effective in attracting live streaming viewers and increasing sales. The four online shop accounts studied fall into three categories of message structuring logic theory. The @louissescarlettfamily account succeeded in attracting many viewers and increasing sales by using an expressive and combinative approach. Meanwhile, the @oktaviana_tas_grosir and @dininrli accounts follow more conventional logic in composing messages, focusing on important information, but are unable to attract many viewers. The @basreng.sultan.bandung account uses an emotional rhetorical approach and is successful in influencing purchasing behavior in live streaming. Thus, online stores that combine expressive and combinative messaging approaches tend to be more successful in attracting audiences and increasing sales. Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan digital masyarakat di Desa Sirnajaya dan Desa Wargajaya, Kabupaten Bogor, dalam rangka mendorong pengembangan wirausaha lokal, terutama di sektor pertanian dan pariwisata. Kedua desa ini memiliki potensi ekonomi yang besar, namun menghadapi tantangan berupa keterbatasan akses terhadap teknologi digital dan rendahnya tingkat pendidikan masyarakat. Program pengabdian ini dirancang untuk mengatasi hambatan tersebut melalui sosialisasi dan pelatihan keterampilan digital, dengan fokus pada pemasaran digital, manajemen data, otomatisasi, dan peningkatan produktivitas. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup pendekatan partisipatif dengan melibatkan masyarakat lokal, serta kolaborasi antara pemerintah, sektor swasta, dan institusi pendidikan. Pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat membantu masyarakat memanfaatkan teknologi digital untuk meningkatkan efisiensi operasional, memperluas jangkauan pasar produk lokal, dan mengoptimalkan potensi desa. Hasil yang dicapai menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan digital yang signifikan, memungkinkan masyarakat untuk lebih adaptif terhadap perkembangan teknologi serta berkontribusi pada pengembangan ekonomi desa yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini juga menghasilkan publikasi ilmiah serta menawarkan solusi kolaboratif untuk penerapan teknologi digital di wilayah pedesaan lainnya di Indonesia.
