Abstract

Water is a vital resource for human life; however, its availability in sufficient quantity and good quality remains a challenge, especially in rural areas. This study aims to evaluate the quality and quantity of public healthy water in Huse Hamlet, Sanahu Village, Elpaputih District, West Seram Regency, based on the standards outlined in the Indonesian Ministry of Health Regulation No. 416/Menkes/Per/IX/1990. A descriptive approach was used, analyzing physical, chemical, and biological water parameters. The results show that the healthy water is physically considered safe, with color, turbidity, and total dissolved solids (TDS) within acceptable limits. However, the iron levels (2.06 mg/L) and chloride (1836 mg/L) exceeded the chemical thresholds. Biologically, total coliform and fecal coliform counts reached 240 MPN, far above the allowed standard, although Escherichia coli was not detected. In terms of quantity, the water supply is generally sufficient according to the community, although seasonal variations and tidal influences affect the volume. Therefore, improved water management strategies are needed, such as filtration systems, infrastructure development for clean water distribution, and community education on water conservation.

Abstract

Education plays a vital role in improving the quality of human resources, with the curriculum serving as a key guideline. The Merdeka Curriculum is a new policy that provides flexibility in learning to suit students' needs better. This study aims to analyze the influence of implementing the Merdeka Curriculum on students' learning interests at SMA Negeri 3 Ambon. This study employed a quantitative approach by distributing structured questionnaires to 30 randomly selected 10th and 11th-grade students at SMA Negeri 3 Ambon to gather relevant and measurable data. The data were analyzed using simple linear regression. The results show that implementing the Merdeka Curriculum positively and significantly affects students' learning interests, with a regression coefficient of 0.590 and a significance value of 0.000. It indicates that flexible, project-based, student-centered learning can increase student engagement. However, the success of its implementation depends on teacher readiness, availability of learning facilities, and teaching strategies. These findings offer practical implications for schools to optimize the curriculum through teacher training, technology use, and increased student participation to create a more interactive and innovative learning. environment

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Desa Warbal, Kei Kecil Barat, Southeast Maluku, focusing on achievements and challenges faced within the local context. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, involving in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, participatory observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that Desa Warbal has made significant progress in the social and economic development pillars, including poverty alleviation, food security, healthcare services, quality education, and basic infrastructure development. However, achievements in environmental and governance pillars remain limited. Key issues include limited access to clean energy, ineffective management of marine and terrestrial environments, vulnerability of settlements to tidal floods, and static village institutions with minimal external partnerships. Internal social conflicts also hinder peaceful and just governance. These findings underscore the importance of holistic and contextual policy interventions, strengthening village institutional capacity, and increasing community participation to ensure comprehensive and sustainable SDGs implementation. This study contributes empirical insights into the dynamics of SDGs implementation in Indonesian coastal villages with unique geographic and social characteristics and provides strategic recommendations for sustainable development policy at the local level

Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought various changes to everyday life, including in the field of education. One prominent phenomenon is the increasing use of online games by students, which can have both positive and negative impacts on their behavior and academic performance. This study aims to analyze the extent to which online games affect the academic achievement of students at SMP Muhammadiyah Ambon. The research uses a mixed-method approach, combining qualitative and quantitative methods, with data collected through questionnaires and interviews, and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that the impact of online games varies depending on the students' ability to manage their time. Some students who are able to limit their gaming time and prioritize studying continue to show good academic performance. However, students who struggle to control the amount of time spent on gaming tend to experience a decline in academic achievement. This indicates that the influence of online games is not entirely negative if balanced with good self-control. Therefore, it is important for students, parents, and teachers to work together to raise awareness of the importance of time management and self-regulation, so that gaming activities do not interfere with, but rather support, optimal learning outcomes.
