Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the level of lifestyle of students of the Economic Education study program in the influence of social media use. This research is a quantitative descriptive research, with the research subjects being students of Economics Education, while the object of the research is the lifestyle of students in the influence of social media use. The informants of this research were 3rd (three) semester economics education students. The data collection techniques used in this study were questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis techniques consist of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of research conducted on economic education students at UIN Suska Riau, the students' lifestyle in terms of the influence of social media use is categorized as high with a percentage of 68.8%. These results also show that through 3 (three) lifestyle indicators, namely activities, interests and opinions, the lifestyle of Economic Education students is considered positive because in general students agree with the positive sub-indicators and disagree with the negative sub-indicators. So the conclusion is that Economics Education students have a good lifestyle and are not exposed to negative things on the social media they use.

Abstract

Rendang, sebagai warisan kuliner Minangkabau, telah berkembang dari sekadar makanan tradisional menjadi simbol identitas nasional yang memiliki potensi diplomatik di tingkat global. Kota Payakumbuh, yang terletak di Sumatera Barat, memainkan peran sentral dalam menjadikan rendang sebagai komoditas ekspor melalui pengembangan industri kecil menengah (IKM). Artikel ini membahas keterkaitan antara geo-ekonomi Payakumbuh, inovasi dalam pengembangan IKM, dan strategi diplomasi ekonomi berbasis budaya. Melalui pendekatan deskriptif-kualitatif berbasis studi pustaka, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa keberhasilan rendang dalam kancah internasional sangat bergantung pada sinergi antara sumber daya lokal, kebijakan pemerintah, dan strategi pemasaran global yang berakar pada budaya.

Abstract

This research was instigated by students who did not yet understand what literacy was, so they did not understand the literacy process in the learning. This research aimed at knowing the influence of school literacy movement program toward student learning achievement on Economics subject at the eleventh grade of State Senior High School 2 Bangkinang City, Kampar Regency. Quantitative descriptive method was used to achieve the goal. All of the eleventh-grade students of Social Science at State Senior High School 2 Bangkinang City were the population of this research, and they were 120 students. Random sampling technique was used in this research, and 30 students were selected as the samples. Questionnaire and documentation were the techniques of collecting data. Validity and reliability test were used to test the instruments.   Descriptive data analysis technique, changing ordinal data to interval, linearity test, and simple linear regression were used to analyze the data. Based on the analysis result, it was obtained that robserved was higher than rtable at 5% and 1% significant levels (0.3610<0.762>0.4629). It meant that there was a significant influence of school literacy movement program toward student learning achievement on Economics subject. The contribution level was 52.8%, and the rest 42.8% was influenced by other variables.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan penggunaan Mendeley kepada mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Ekonomi, Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Keguruan, Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau. Proses penyelesaian masalah dilakukan melalui tiga tahap yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Pelatihan ini diikuti oleh 100 peserta. Berdasarkan pelaksanaan kegiatan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa para peserta sangat antusias mengikuti pelatihan penggunaan Mendeley ini dan berharap adanya tindak lanjut berupa pelatihan teknik penulisan tugas akhir lanjut dengan Mendeley. Diperkirakan, kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh tim pengabdi ini dapat membantu mahasiswa dalam menulis situs, mencari referensi online, dan menyusun daftar pustaka dengan benar, cepat, dan otomatis, baik dalam penulisan makalah maupun tugas akhir. Dari tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi yang telah dilakukan, terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam menggunakan aplikasi Mendeley, yang terlihat dari hasil pretest dan posttest melalui Google Forms. Abstract

Students as Agents of Change from an early age must have a broad understanding of the importance of progress in the business sector, including strengthening the entrepreneurial spirit. The cultivation of an entrepreneurial spirit must be supported by the concern of various parties, including the world of higher education. This will in turn give birth to independent entrepreneurs and MSME players who are imbued with the attitude and character of entrepreneurs who are ready to survive and develop the business world in the future. The various strategies used to produce entrepreneurs and MSMEs in higher education are very important to carry out systematically and continuously. This article aims: To provide an overview of strategies for creating an entrepreneurial spirit in students and their relationship to creating independent MSMEs. Providing suggestions and solutions to parties related to cultivating an entrepreneurial spirit in students can provide a basic support for the realization of independent MSMEs. This article concludes that there are several strategies used in creating an entrepreneurial spirit in students, namely by providing motivation and understanding related to entrepreneurial character, namely Action Oriented, simple thinking, Looking for new opportunities, Pursuing opportunities and high discipline, Taking the best opportunities, Focusing on execution, Focusing everyone's energy on the business they are involved in and real strategies that can be implemented in higher education, namely Achieving learning outcomes in the curriculum, Participating in Student Creativity Programs, Creating a Business incubator

Abstract

Nagari Pariangan, located in Tanah Datar Regency, is widely recognized as one of the most beautiful villages in the world according to Budget Travel (2012). This recognition is driven not only by its natural landscape but also by the preserved authenticity of Minangkabau culture, which serves as a vital asset for tourism development. This study aims to examine the forms of cultural authenticity maintained by the local community and their contribution to tourism attractiveness. A qualitative descriptive method was employed through field observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the research show that traditional customs, rumah gadang architecture, the nagari social system, and religious cultural rituals significantly reinforce the image of Pariangan as a cultural tourism destination. These cultural assets provide a strong local identity while supporting sustainable tourism development. Therefore, preserving local cultural authenticity is essential to maintain Nagari Pariangan’s reputation as the most beautiful village in the world and to enhance the well-being of the local community.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman guru-guru yang tergabung dalam MGMP Geografi Kota Pekanbaru tentang materi Sistem Informasi Geografi (SIG). Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan 1 (satu) hari, pada hari sabtu tanggal 5 Februari 2024 yang bertempat di aula SMAN 8 Kota Pekanbaru. Kegiatan ini dihadiri oleh para guru anggota MGMP Geografi Kota Pekanbaru. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini mengikuti tahapan metode Participatory Action Research (PAR) yang dimulai dengan identifikasi masalah melalui observasi awal dan wawancara bersama ketua serta pengurus MGMP Geografi Kota Pekanbaru. Hasil observasi tersebut kemudian dijadikan dasar dalam perencanaan aksi yang disusun secara kolaboratif dengan pihak MGMP. Rencana yang telah dirumuskan selanjutnya diimplementasikan melalui kegiatan workshop materi Sistem Informasi Geografi (SIG) sebagai bentuk aksi nyata pengabdian. Setelah kegiatan berlangsung, dilakukan evaluasi yang meliputi tes untuk mengukur peningkatan pemahaman peserta terhadap materi SIG dan penyebaran kuesioner guna mengetahui respon peserta terhadap kegiatan. Hasil evaluasi ini menjadi bahan refleksi untuk perbaikan berkelanjutan serta perencanaan kegiatan lanjutan di masa mendatang. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan pemahaman guru terhadap materi Sistem Informasi Geografi (SIG). Peningkatan tersebut terlihat dari rata-rata nilai pre-test sebesar 7,5 yang meningkat menjadi 9,1 pada post-test setelah pelaksanaan workshop.Kegiatan workshop ini perlu dilakukan secara berkesinambungan dengan pendalaman materi dan atau praktek pengoperasi SIG berbasis digital, sehingga guru-guru Geografi bisa mengikuti perkembangan SIG yang cepat berkembang seiring perkembangan teknologi informasi.Kata kunci: Sistem Informasi Geografi, workshop, guru geografi
