Abstract

Manusia membutuhkan berbagai informasi. Informasi tersebut dapat berupa sinyal dari multisensor.Untuk itu diperlukan suatu sistem yang dapat memenuhi kebutuhan dalam memperoleh informasi darimultisensor dengan cepat dan mudah.Sensor yang diamati terdiri atas sensor kecepatan motor dan sensor suhu. Sensor kecepatan motordirangkai dari LED dan phototransistor sedang untuk sensor suhu menggunakan LM 35. Port parallel pada PCdapat dipergunakan sebagai penghubung antara sensor dan PC dengan MATLAB 6.5 sebagai programantarmuka.Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem monitoring multisensor berbasis PC dapat mengamati tiapsensor tiap 0,5 detik. Nilai yang terbaca dari multisensor ditampilkan dalam grafik.Kata kunci: sensor, port parallel, MATLAB

Abstract

IoT can combine hardware and software for communication between them. The application of this system can be done on a solenoid valve to regulate the flow via online, which can be varied based on current temperature. The fluid flows are validated with a flow meter sensor that sends data to a server to decide whether the flows need to be added to the furnace or not. There is a database server that stores data in cloud from sensors so that the system can run realtime. The system is displayed on a website with dashboard display regarding the flow and the condition of the valves in realtime. In testing, black box testing is used to make more use of functional things in the system designed for the convenience of users of fluid flow monitoring and control, based on the appearance of the website used, the functions available, the results of the sensors provided, and the data transmission process that is running. Furthermore, the system can show that the function of the hardware or website to monitor and control fluid discharge has been running well and can be used by users easily and beneficially.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused the acceleration of digitalization to occur throughout the world in various aspects of life, one of which is in the world of education. The openness of access to learning resources has not been the right solution for humans to learn independently. There are details in the learning process that require the guidance of a teacher called a mentor. In line with this, PT Nusademy Solusi Indonesia (Nusademy) built a marketplace mentoring platform that allows learning to take place in a network between users and mentors. Nusademy provides an opportunity for users to able to choose learning topics and mentors according to their needs. In it, there are steps for mentoring orders, which are currently still being processed manually by the admin every time there is a transaction. So, we need a system that can bridge users with mentors to share benefits without having to depend on admin availability. Python is a programming language that has characteristics suitable for autonomous system development and integration with third-party services. This study aims to create, implement, and test an automated order mentoring system on the Nusademy Web Application which is integrated with the Xendit payment application, the Google Calendar scheduling application, and the Google Hangouts video-conferencing application. The automation system provides automatic services in billing, checking payment status, communication processes between users and admins, communication processes between admins and mentors, creating virtual mentoring rooms, and notification of mentoring agenda reminders. The system is launched on a cloud computing-based server which can enable automatic capacity scaling based on user requests using Google Cloud Run. Testing of the order mentoring automation system is carried out by considering aspects of system capability, system reliability, level of effectiveness, user experience, and business analysis.

Abstract

This article presents a literature review on the impact of 5G technology advancements in accelerating Internet of Things (IoT) adoption and innovation in educational environments, particularly in higher education. 5G technology has brought significant changes in the digital ecosystem, offering faster, more reliable, and efficient connectivity. This literature review explores how 5G technology has driven the acceleration of IoT adoption and innovation in higher education in various aspects, such as teaching and learning, campus management, student services, and research and development. The review identifies several key benefits of 5G-enabled IoT integration in higher education, including improved operational efficiency, personalised services, increased student engagement, optimised use of resources, and improved research and development quality. However, this review also reveals the challenges that must be faced in implementing 5G-based IoT solutions, such as security issues, data privacy, and infrastructure readiness and human resource competencies. The conclusion of this literature review highlights that advances in 5G technology have accelerated IoT adoption and innovation in higher education, opening up significant digital transformation opportunities in the higher education ecosystem. However, strategic and comprehensive planning is required to optimise the potential of 5G-based IoT and overcome the challenges that come with it

Abstract

Technological infrastructure issues include hardware shortages, lack of skills and competencies in integrating digital technology into learning processes, lack of motivation and motivation for students to use digital technology in economic learning, insufficient integration of digital content, and unclear guidelines and policies from school authorities regarding digital integration in learning processes. This study aims to analyse the integration of digital technology in teaching economics to students of Gorontalo State University. The research method used is a case study with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results showed that the integration of digital technology in teaching economics at Gorontalo State University has been carried out in several forms, such as the use of e-learning platforms, the utilisation of digital economic applications, and the development of digital content. The obstacles faced include infrastructure readiness, lecturer competence, and student interest in learning. Strategies to overcome these obstacles are improving digital facilities, training lecturers, and strengthening student learning motivation. This research implies that the integration of digital technology in teaching economics can improve the quality of learning and student competence, and support digital transformation in educational institutions.

Abstract

The increasingly massive use of digital technology requires that the application architecture be designed to have high availability and reliability. This is because when an application cannot be accessed, it will cause no small loss to the organization. Therefore, the development and operation teams must be able to detect when their system is not working well. For that, we need a system that can monitor application performance. In this research, a system is developed to collect telemetry data, namely metrics and traces from an online donation backend application based on the REST API. OpenTelemetry produces telemetry as an open-source telemetry instrumentation tool. Then the telemetry data is collected by the OpenTelemetry Collector which is then stored on the backend of each telemetry. Metrics are sent to Prometheus and traces are sent to Jaeger. The data metrics collected are throughput, request latency, and error rate which are visualized using the Grafana dashboard. The test results show that the monitoring system can collect real-time metrics data with an average delay of 13,8 seconds. The system can also detect when an anomaly occurs in the app and sends notifications via Slack. In addition, the trace data collected can be used to simplify the debugging process when an error occurs in the application. However, the implementation of OpenTelemetry in a REST API-based backend application to monitor metrics and traces has a negative impact on the performance of the application itself, which can reduce the number of request throughput with an average decrease of 23.32% and increase request latency with an average increase of 22.80%.

Abstract

Project-based learning (PBL) is an innovative approach to curriculum development aimed at fostering creativity and collaboration among students. This approach integrates student-centered learning with real-world projects relevant to professional environments and everyday life. In project-based learning, students actively engage in exploration, investigation, and the creation of products or solutions, motivating them to think critically, work in teams, and develop communication skills. This article explores how project-based curricula are designed and implemented to promote deep student engagement, enhance 21st-century skills, and create meaningful learning experiences. Additionally, the challenges and strategies for implementing project-based education are discussed, including the critical role of teachers as facilitators and the integration of technology to support learning. Consequently, this approach emerges as a viable solution for creating a more relevant and adaptive education system in the era of globalization.

Abstract

The Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) approach has become an innovative paradigm in education, offering multidisciplinary integration to address 21st century learning challenges. This article discusses the importance of applying STEAM to create holistic learning in higher education. By integrating science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics, this approach aims to develop critical thinking skills, creativity, collaboration and innovation in students. Through the collaboration of various higher education institutions, this article explores STEAM implementation strategies in the curriculum, highlighting the role of each discipline to create integrative and relevant learning experiences. The study also includes an analysis of the challenges and opportunities in implementing STEAM concepts, including the adaptation of technology and the role of art in enhancing students' innovativeness. The results show that the STEAM approach can increase students' engagement in learning, strengthen their problem-solving skills, and prepare them for the dynamic world of work. Therefore, the application of STEAM is recommended as a sustainable educational model to support the transformation of education in higher education.

Abstract

Character education has a very important role in shaping students' moral and ethical values, especially in facing the demands of 21st century education. This study aims to examine the integration of character education in Outcome-Based Education (OBE)-based curriculum by emphasizing effective strategies and implementation. Using a qualitative approach, this study identifies key components of character education that are in line with OBE principles, such as outcome orientation, student-centered learning, and development of measurable competencies. It also reviews best practices, including curriculum design, teaching methods and evaluation techniques that support learners' holistic development. The results show that good integration of character education in the OBE curriculum not only supports academic success, but also enhances learners' social responsibility and moral integrity. This article provides practical insights and recommendations for educators, policy makers and institutions in effectively implementing character education within the OBE framework.
