<![CDATA[Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan upaya yang kami lakukan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas warga Desa Batukaras Kabupaten Pangandaran dalam menduniakan Batukaras sebagai desa wisata melalui instrumen paradiplomasi. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah mengidentifikasi masalah mengenai potensi dan peluang wisata Desa Batukaras, mengenali kapasitas warga dan kapabilitas perangkat desa terhadap Desa Wisata, wisata global dan kediplomasian daerah. Kegiatan dilakukan dalam bentuk sosialisasi dan pendidikan masyarakat 365 Kumawula : Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat 2024 dengan metode research-based community services di dalam melibatkan secara aktif individu, komunitas atau institusi, baik pendidik, organisasi kemasyarakatan, pelaku usaha wisata, perangkat desa, tokoh masyarakat hingga tokoh pemuda. Dalam mengidentifikasi masalah, kami melakukan Focus Group Discussion (FGD) yang melibatkan para pemangku kepentingan dari Desa Batukaras. Diskusi mendalam pun dilakukan untuk menggali masalah dari berbagai pemangku kepentingan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatnya pengetahuan, sikap dan tindakan peserta kegiatan mengenai wisata global dan instrumennya melalui paradiplomasi. Kesiapan sosietal diperlukan oleh warga Desa Batukaras dalam meningkatkan kualitas wisatanya untuk menjadi wisata yang mendunia. Beberapa hambatan dan tantangan menjadi desa wisata yang dikenal publik mancanegara disadari perlu penanganan dalam bentuk kolaborasi berbagai pihak, termasuk perlunya pemanfaatan sumber-sumber mancanegara. Peserta berharap adanya keberlanjutan dari kegiatan yang dilakukan sehingga Desa Batukaras dapat mengoptimasi potensi yang dimilikinya sebagai Desa Wisata dan dikenal publik mancanegara.]]>

<![CDATA[Maluku Province is one of the regions that has the potential for renewable energy resources which are quite abundant, but they have not been utilized properly due to various obstacles and challenges in the region. In order to overcome the existing problems, Maluku Province has established foreign relations with the Government of New Zealand through the New Zealand Booking program - Maluku Access to Renewable Energy Support (NZMATES) starting from April 2018 to June 2023. This research aims to describe how the efforts taken by the Maluku Provincial Government and the New Zealand Government in developing renewable energy in the Maluku region. By using qualitative methods with data techniques through literature studies and internet-based document searches, this article argues that through the establishment of foreign relations between Maluku Province and New Zealand through the formation of NZMATES it can help and facilitate the process of developing renewable energy in the Maluku region. NZMATES can create a more competent work environment by engaging with several agencies with regional interests to participate in developing renewable energy in Maluku Province.]]>

<![CDATA[Indonesia memiliki beragam objek wisata yang sering dikunjungi oleh wisatawan lokal dan asing. Salah satu daerah di Indonesia yang menjadi destinasi wisata yaitu Kabupaten Pangandaran. Pada kabupaten ini, terutama Desa Batukaras, menjadi destinasi pariwisata mendunia dalam perspektif diplomatik dengan potensi alam, ekonomi dan budayanya. Meskipun memiliki potensi besar, peningkatan dan pengembangan pariwisata dan ekonomi kreatif lokal masih menghadapi sejumlah tantangan. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, dilaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepada para pelaku UMKM Desa Batukaras agar dapat mempromosikan produknya di level nasional dan internasional dalam perspektif diplomatik. Kegiatan ini melibatkan para pemangku kepentingan di desa melalui kolaborasi. Metode kegiatan ini adalah pendidikan masyarakat dan pelatihan. Kegiatan ini memberikan wawasan pengembangan ekonomi ke pasar global dalam perspektif diplomatik dan kegiatan pendidikan masyarakat mengenai pentingnya pengembangan usaha secara nasional dan internasional melalui promosi digital dan pelatihan pemanfaatan platform media online bagi pengembangan produk UMKM di Desa Batukaras ke pasar global. Dalam kegiatan ini, dihasilkan pentingnya komitmen dari para pemangku kepentingan di Desa Batukaras untuk berkolaborasi dalam membangun iklim yang kondusif bagi pengembangan potensi UMKM di Desa Batukaras agar daerah ini dikenal publik global dengan aktivitas diplomatik daerah.]]>

<![CDATA[West Java is one of the provinces in Indonesia that has been affected by the spread of Covid-19. The West Java Provincial Government is trying to deal with the Covid-19 virus through overseas activities. This has shown the efforts of the West Java Provincial Government's efforts to overcome the medical case while trying to maintain the sustainability of the regional economy through its diplomatic activities. West Java's regional diplomatic activities in the Covid-19 era have confirmed the role of regions abroad that meet regional needs and contribute to national interests. This research aims to describe West Java's regional diplomacy in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic, both in terms of health and economy to meet the security of West Java residents. The approach method in this research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive nature, data collection is carried out through literature studies, documentation studies and internet-based studies. The concept used in this research is Regional Diplomacy. This research found that West Java carried out its regional diplomacy to deal with Covid-19 by facilitating cooperation in improving health services, research on vaccinations to support regional health management. This research also found that both provincial actors and city and district actors in West Java to non-governmental actors such as universities carried out their regional diplomacy. This further strengthens the role of regional actors abroad to meet the needs of their regions.]]>

<![CDATA[This article aims to explain the external persuasive actions of the Aceh Provincial Government in maintaining its Islamic identity through “The Light of Aceh” branding towards the global community. This action is referred to as paradiplomacy. As one of the subnational actors in Indonesia, Aceh Province is an area that has social and political dynamics from before independence to the present. Aceh has a distinctive identity and culture known as Serambi Mekah. Because of its efforts to maintain this identity, Aceh once fought for independence from Indonesia. Aceh's paradiplomacy certainly has different dynamics. However, the effort to maintain its identity has been a struggle from the past to the present. In the independence era, Aceh tried to fight for its identity with the struggle for independence, but in the post-independence era, Aceh fought for its regional interests through the framework of Regional Autonomy by establishing foreign relations and diplomacy to the global community. This research uses the theories of paradiplomacy and social identity to explain the persuasive actions taken by the Aceh Provincial Government through paradiplomacy to maintain its social identity. This research uses a qualitative method with data collection from interviews with relevant informants, documentation studies and internet-based studies. The results of this research show that the Aceh Provincial Government's paradiplomacy efforts to maintain its Islamic identity are carried out through branding “The Light of Aceh” by incorporating Islamic values in various components of the branding such as the main values of branding, logo philosophy, and branding commercial advertising videos. These values are socialised to the global community through various international activities by showcasing culture in dances, poems of clothing at international festivals, so that Aceh is better known by the global community with its Islamic identity.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to analyze the impact of The Hu's music diplomacy on Mongolia's nation branding program. The study employs a descriptive qualitative method with secondary data analysis from journal articles, books, relevant reports, and media covering The Hu's activities. The results indicate that The Hu, with their unique approach of combining traditional Mongolian music elements with modern rock, have successfully raised global awareness of Mongolian culture and enhanced the country's positive image. Their international performances, received awards, and collaborations with renowned musicians have introduced Mongolian cultural elements to a wider audience, creating curiosity and appreciation for Mongolia's cultural heritage. Strategic recommendations include greater government support, enhanced collaboration with digital platforms, and educational and cultural exchange programs.]]>

<![CDATA[This article investigates the parallelism between the Bali Provincial Government and the Indonesian Central Government in the context of parallel diplomacy through the sister province program between Bali and Hainan Province. This research mainly focuses on the tourism and cultural sectors, analyzed through a cultural economic perspective, where culture is commercialized with certain modifications. However, the Bali Provincial Government, through the Cultural Office, does not prohibit these modifications as long as they adhere to cultural norms and ethics, distinguishing between elements that can be commercialized and those that cannot. This study employs a qualitative method, sourcing data through field studies and literature reviews. The findings indicate harmony and alignment in the relationship between the regional and central governments, reflecting mutually supportive collaboration without significant conflict. The study suggests that this synergy should be continuously strengthened to support the sustainability of cultural diplomacy and cultural economy internationally.]]>

<![CDATA[This article explains how foreign relations are carried out by subnational actors in Indonesia. In carrying out foreign relations or other international activities, subnational actors must follow the rules and regulations set by the central government. For example, Kabupaten Garut, one of Indonesia’s sub-national actors, carries out foreign relations with Damyang-gun, South Korea, based on the existing national laws and regulations on foreign relations. This foreign relationship occurs because both Garut and Damyang-gun need each other to fulfil their own interests. This article discusses this foreign relations by using Christopher Whytock’s theory of transgovernmentalism and Alexander Kuznetsov’s paradiplomacy view. Employing a descriptive-analytic method, this article collected its required data through interviews and literature study. The findings show that as seen in the case of Garut and Damyang-gun foreign relations by sub-national actors that are carried out based rules and regulations resulted in positive outcomes for both the regional and central governments.]]>

<![CDATA[Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan upaya-upaya yang dilakukan untuk menguatkan seni tradisional reak sebagai bentuk warisan budaya daerah di Kecamatan Jatinangor Jawa Barat. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersbut, beberapa subkegiatan dilakukan, diantaranya observasi dan identifikasi masalah dan kegiatan sosialisasi mengenai kesenian tradisional reak beserta nilai-nilai budaya di dalamnya. Kegiatan ini diawali karena minimnya pengetahuan warga terhadap latar belakang kesenian reak sehingga perlu adanya penggalian makna dan sejarah yang ada dalam kesenian itu. Metode kegiatan ini adalah pendidikan masyarakat dengan sosialisasi/penyuluhan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara terhadap sejumlah informan, studi literatur dan studi dokumentasi. Kegiatan ini berhasil memperkuat nilai-nilai budaya dari kesenian reak dan mensosialisasikannya kepada masyarakat Desa Cibeusi. Komunitas kesenian reak semakin antusias untuk di dalam melestarikan kesenian ini karena merupakan warisan budaya yang perlu dilestarikan sebagai bagian dari budaya nasional. Kegiatan ini juga menemukan bahwa perlunya partisipasi dari pemangku kepentingan di daerah untuk ikut serta melestarikan Kesenian Reak di Kecamatan Jatinangor. This paper aims to describe the efforts made to strengthen the traditional art of reak as a form of regional cultural heritage in Jatinangor District, West Java. To achieve this goal, several sub-activities were carried out, including observation and identification of problems and socialization activities regarding the traditional art of Reak and its cultural values. This activity was started due to the lack of knowledge of the residents regarding the background of Reak art, so it is necessary to explore the meaning and history contained in this art. The method of this activity is community education with socialization/counseling. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews with a number of informants, literature studies and documentation studies. This activity succeeded in strengthening the cultural values of the Reak arts and socializing them to the people of Cibeusi Village. The Reak art community is increasingly enthusiastic about preserving this art because it is a cultural heritage that needs to be preserved as part of the national culture. This activity also found that the participation of regional stakeholders is needed to participate in preserving Reak Art in the Jatinangor District.]]>

<![CDATA[Penyaluran Bantuan Sosial (Bansos) di Kota Bandung merupakan salah satu inovasi Kementerian Sosial Republik Indonesia guna memerangi kemiskinan dan mengoptimalkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. PT Pos Indonesia merupakan perusahaan dibawah naungan Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN) yang dipercaya pemerintah untuk menjadi salah satu badan yang menyalurkan Bansos Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) di Kota Bandung. Jurnal ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi berbagai strategi dalam mengoptimalisasikan penyaluran Bansos (PKH) di Kota Bandung melalui PT Pos Indonesia. Jurnal ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan analisis dokumen terkait. Jurnal ini akan membuktikan bahwa implementasi strategi optimalisasi penyaluran Bansos oleh PT Pos Indonesia di Kota Bandung telah sesuai dengan efisiensi dan efektivitas penyaluran Bansos. ]]>
