Abstract

The furniture craft business in Bukittinggi plays an important role in improving the economy and preserving culture. However, problems in utilizing digital technology to market products cause limitations in reaching a wider market. To answer these challenges, this research aims to design an OpenCart-based application as a digital marketing solution in accordance with business needs in Bukittinggi. Research and development (R&D) methods are used in this research, which includes needs analysis, application design, and evaluation. MSME actors were interviewed to find out market characteristics and product types. The results of the research show that MSMEs in Bukittinggi can use OpenCart-based applications to market products, increase power competitiveness, and optimizing the marketing process. The OpenCart application is a good solution to help MSMEs in Bukittinggi market handicraft furniture products digitally. This application not only meets the needs of business actors in the digital era, but also helps increase the sustainability and competitiveness of MSMEs in local and national markets.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and implement OperCart as a promotional media for home industry products in Agam and Lima Puluh Kota Regencies. This research is expected to increase market access and competitiveness of local products through the use of digital technology. Currently, home industries in the Agam and Lima Puluh Kota Regencies face various obstacles, such as limited access to a wider market, lack of effective promotional media, and the low level of adoption of digital technology by business actors. By utilizing digital technology such as OperCart, businesses can promote products more efficiently, reach a wider market, and increase competitiveness in the midst of global competition. This research uses a descriptive approach with a system development method. The research stages include needs analysis, OperCart design and implementation, and platform performance evaluation through interviews, surveys, and direct observation of users. The implementation of OperCart showed a significant increase in the effectiveness of home industry product promotion. Within three months of use, the platform managed to increase sales transactions by 40% and expand market reach by 55%. Businesses responded positively to OperCart because of its ease of use and features that support promotional needs, such as product catalogs, transaction recording, and social media integration. This research proves that digital platforms such as OperCart can be an effective solution to improve the competitiveness of home industries. Further development recommendations include the addition of marketing analytics features and technical training for businesses to optimize the use of the platform.

Abstract

This research aims to increase the sales of cake and dried fish products in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Sel Beremas District through the development of an OpenCart-based e-commerce platform. The research is motivated by the limited access to online markets and the lack of digital knowledge among MSMEs. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with a user-oriented approach. The initial stage involved data collection through surveys and interviews to identify the needs of MSMEs and consumer preferences. The results of the data analysis were used as a basis for designing a user-friendly and attractive platform. The key features developed include an interactive product catalog, diverse payment systems, integration with social media, and order tracking features. The developed e-commerce platform was then implemented and evaluated. The evaluation results showed a significant increase in several performance indicators, such as website traffic, transaction value, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, the platform successfully enhanced the brand awareness of MSMEs in the online market. This study concludes that the development of the OpenCart-based e-commerce platform is an effective solution to increase MSME product sales in Sel Beremas District. This platform not only expands market reach but also provides convenience for consumers in making transactions. It is hoped that this research can serve as a reference for the development of other MSMEs in utilizing digital technology to enhance business competitiveness.

Abstract

This research emphasizes the importance of modern technology for data management and improving business effectiveness, particularly in designing a product sales system. The aim of this article is to design a sales system for handicraft and food products based in Batusangkar using digital platforms such as OpenCart. The current issue faced by local businesses in Batusangkar is that marketing has not yet been widely implemented because many MSMEs have not utilized online promotional media. Furthermore, the rapidly developing technology is seen as capable of improving sales effectiveness while expanding market reach. The development model used in this research is the Research and Development (R&D) model with the ADDIE approach, which includes Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The final result of this research is a promotional media using a digital platform, specifically OpenCart, designed to make it easier for local entrepreneurs to manage and market their products. The findings from this study show that using a digital platform like OpenCart not only helps improve business effectiveness but also enhances the competitiveness and marketability of local businesses in Batusangkar. With the sales system utilizing a digital platform, local entrepreneurs in Batusangkar can expand and improve the marketability of their products.

Abstract

The Sanjai Chips UMKM is a typical Minangkabau business engaged in food sales. Based on the results of an interview with the store owner, it was found that the owner still uses traditional methods of selling, which has led to the stagnation of the Sanjai Chips business. The promotion process for Sanjai Chips faces several challenges, particularly the lack of an online promotional platform. Additionally, the store's location is difficult for the general public to find. This is because the Sanjai Chips store does not have a website that can provide information about the products sold. To increase the sales of Sanjai Chips, a website is needed that can address these issues. In this digital era, we can take advantage of digital platforms that allow for broader sales reach, both locally and internationally. The goal of this article is to design a promotional system for the home industry of Sanjai Chips using the practical and effective OpenCart CMS. This study uses the PPE (planning, production, and evaluation) method. The research successfully designed an OpenCart-based promotional system to support the online marketing of Sanjai Chips, making it attractive, valid, practical, and effective. The designed system includes several main features such as a product catalog complete with images, descriptions, prices, and order management to facilitate customers in ordering the products they want. It is hoped that this research will result in a website that attracts customers from any region, enabling them to place orders without having to visit the store directly.

Abstract

Advances in digital technology provide great opportunities for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to increase their competitiveness in local and global markets. However, unfortunately there are still many MSMEs in Sijunjung District that have not utilized digital platforms optimally so that their market reach is only limited to the Sijunjung area and does not reach areas outside it. This is very unfortunate because consumers from other areas may want the products sold by these MSMEs. Therefore, this research aims to design an OpenCart-based online shop as a solution for MSMEs to expand market reach and increase operational efficiency and simplify the buying and selling transaction process. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with stages including needs analysis, system design, implementation, and evaluation of the final product. The research results show that the OpenCart platform can be adapted to meet the specific needs of MSMEs, such as ease of product management, flexible payment features, and an attractive and responsive display. Evaluation of the system shows an increase in the potential competitiveness of MSMEs through wider access to digital markets and more structured business management. By implementing this online shop, MSMEs in Sijunjung District can be better prepared to compete in the digital era and increase income in a sustainable manner. This research makes a real contribution in empowering MSMEs through digital technology and becomes a model for developing MSMEs in other regions.

Abstract

This article aims to explore the integrity of digital technology and the use of the OpenCart platform as an innovative solution to improve the operational efficiency of MSMEs in Labuhanbatu Regency. MSMEs in this area often face problems in terms of performance control, marketing, and limited market access. These obstacles trigger the failure of MSMEs to compete optimally in an increasingly digital market. MSMEs in Labuhanbatu should be able to utilize digital technology, especially e-commerce platforms such as OpenCart, to increase operational efficiency, expand market reach, and increase the competitiveness of existing products. However, many MSMEs have difficulty accessing and utilizing this technology due to the lack of knowledge and resources controlled by MSME actors. The methodology used in this study is the Research and Development (R&D) method with the PPE (Planning, Production, Evaluation) development stages. The stages of the methodology in this study begin by describing the problems encountered by MSMEs, continuing with designing appropriate solutions, developing significant technology implementations, and finally disseminating research results to improve the interpretation and adoption of technology in MSME groups. The results of the study emphasize that OpenCart integrity can improve the operational efficiency of MSMEs, especially in terms of inventory management, product marketing, and sales transactions. Additional findings include the importance of training for MSMEs to improve knowledge about the use of digital technology and maximize e-commerce platforms in achieving the best profits. Thus, the implementation of digital technology and OpenCart in Labuhanbatu Regency has been proven to increase the competitiveness and operational efficiency of MSMEs, thereby opening up wider and more sustainable market opportunities.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Bengkalis Regency face major challenges in marketing home industry products such as cakes, chips, handicrafts and food, mainly due to high competition in the market and limitations in production capacity. These issues affect the competitiveness and sustainability of MSME businesses. This research aims to design web-based digital promotional media using the OpenCart application to support MSME product marketing efforts effectively and efficiently. The research method used is the Research and Development (R&D) model with the ADDIE approach which includes the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation stages. The results of this research are in the form of a web-based promotion system using the OpenCart platform, which is designed to make it easier for MSMEs to market their products more widely through digital media. The research findings show that OpenCart-based promotional media is able to improve the competitiveness of MSMEs by providing excellent features such as product catalogs, stock management, integration of payment methods, and ease of order management. This system also helps overcome production problems by increasing the efficiency of order management so that MSMEs can better manage spikes in demand. With this web-based promotion system, MSMEs can overcome several major problems, such as the difficulty of competing in a competitive market and limited production capacity. This research provides relevant and applicable solutions for MSME players, especially in facing the digitalization era. This promotional media is expected to be a model that can be replicated in various other regions.

Abstract

The Simpang Kiri sub-district, one of the areas that is in the process of developing, Simpang Kiri sub-district needs a platform to make it easier for food sellers to reach wider product promotions. The solution for food sellers in Simpang Kiri sub-district can be implemented by building an opencart-based online shop, an e-commerce platform that is flexible and easy to implement. This research aims to design an opencart-based online shop for food products in Simpang Kiri sub-district, and make it easier to sell and attract the attention of consumers. The development model used in this research is a research and development model with an analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation approach. The conclusion of this research shows that using Opencart as an e-commerce platform can make it easier for food sellers in Simpang Kiri sub-district to promote their products. Therefore, with the right design and effective promotion, if the promotion runs effectively, the Simpang Kiri sub-district will develop rapidly, reach more consumers and be wider.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a digital-based promotional strategy through the OpenChart application for home industry players in Lubuklinggau City, in order to expand their market reach. Currently, product promotion by home industries in this city is still limited to social media such as Facebook and WhatsApp, especially since the COVID-19 pandemic. However, these promotional activities have decreased, which has an impact on decreasing production. In addition, most customers only come from areas around the store or within the city of Lubuklinggau. In fact, in this digital era, the use of various social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, to e-commerce, should be able to expand the reach of promotion. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with a 4D development model, namely Define, Design, Develop, and Dissemination. The results of the study are in the form of web-based promotional media developed using the OpenChart application. The findings show that this application is effective as a promotional media that can increase the production of regional specialties from micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Lubuklinggau. The implications of this study indicate that the use of digital technology such as OpenChart can be a solution for MSMEs to face challenges in promotion, especially in adapting more relevant marketing strategies in the digital era, so that they can compete in a wider market.
