Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Fartlek training on the maximum aerobic capacity of extracurricular futsal students at SMPN 28 North Bengkulu. This type of research is an experimental study with a sample of 20 players. The results of this study are that Fartlek training carried out by players can increase the maximum aerobic capacity of extracurricular students at SMPN 28 North Bengkulu, with t hit (6.84) > t tab (2.26). The results of this study indicate that the Fartlek training method has a significant effect on the maximum aerobic capacity of players. There is a difference in both maximum aerobic capacities before and after doing Fartlek training. The maximum aerobic capacity after being given Fartlek training treatment clearly increased, although the increase was only slight. This can be seen from the difference between the average before Fartlek training. (38.3) with the average after Fartlek training (42.2) is 3.8. Thus, there is a significant effect of the Fartlek training method on the maximum aerobic capacity of players.

Abstract

The absence of visual identity and administrative information centers at the neighborhood (RT) level often hampers regional coordination and public services for both residents and visitors. Community Service activities through the Student Community Service (KKN) of Dehasen University Bengkulu in RT 03, Pintu Batu Village, aim to strengthen regional administrative governance through the provision of physical information facilities. The implementation method included participatory observation, boundary mapping, and coordination with local neighborhood officials. The main focus of this program was the construction and installation of regional boundary signs to clarify physical boundaries between areas, as well as information boards containing professional data of RT 03 and RW 01 officials. The results of the activity showed that the installation of these facilities successfully created a clearer territorial identity, facilitated social-administrative navigation, and enhanced the professionalism of information services at the village level. This program is expected to serve as a model for more organized and informative environmental administration in other regions.

Abstract

Background: Existing volleyball skill assessment tools are commonly adapted from adolescent or adult performance standards and may not accurately represent the motor development characteristics of children aged 10-13 years. Moreover, psychometrically validated instruments specifically designed for elementary school students remain limited. Objectives: The objective of this research is to create and test a volleyball skill assessment tool tailored for elementary school pupils aged 10 to 13 years. Methods: The study employed a research and development (R&D) design adapted from the Borg and Gall model. Test building concepts served as the basis for a research and development strategy. Five fundamental volleyball abilities were evaluated by the test: smash, underhand passing, overhand passing, underhand serving, and overhand service. Purposive sampling was used to pick 50 Bengkulu City primary school pupils as participants. Aiken’s V and CVR were used to assess content validity with six experts. Data processing utilised G*Power (v3. 1.9.7) and Jamovi (v2.3.2). Results: Strong content validity was shown by every skill component (CVR > 0.83; Aiken's V ≥ 0.87). EFA identified a two-factor structure that explained 71.84% of the overall variance: offensive technical ability and basic ball control. There were moderate to high relationships between criterion validity and game performance (r = 0.63-0.71). All subtests had strong reliability indices (ICC = 0.87-0.94; test–retest r = 0.79-0.86). Conclusion: The developed instrument demonstrated satisfactory validity and reliability and shows potential for assessing basic volleyball skills among elementary school students. The constraints include a limited sample size and a restricted geographical scope. Future studies should encompass larger, more diverse groups and investigate technology-based evaluation formats to improve applicability.

Abstract

Environmental cleanliness and sustainability are important factors in supporting community quality of life. Waste problems are still frequently found in residential areas due to low public awareness and inadequate waste management. This community service activity aims to increase community concern for waste management and environmental preservation through seed planting programs. The method used is a participatory approach involving the community in environmental education, clean-up activities, waste sorting practices, and seed planting around the neighborhood. The results indicate an increase in public awareness in maintaining environmental cleanliness and the formation of positive behavior toward waste management. In addition, seed planting activities contribute to environmental aesthetics and quality. It can be concluded that collaboration between students and the community is effective in creating a clean and sustainable environment.
