Abstract

Income distribution (Gini ratio) plays an important role in determining the level of public welfare and the quality of inclusive economic development. High income inequality can worsen poverty conditions and hinder the creation of equitable development. This study aims to analyze the effect of income distribution on inclusive economic development in Gorontalo Province by considering poverty as an intervening variable. The method used is path analysis with secondary data from the Gorontalo Province BPS during 2011–2024. The results show that income inequality has a positive and significant effect on poverty and a negative and significant effect on inclusive economic development. Poverty also has a negative impact on inclusive economic development and serves as a significant intervening variable. These findings imply that reducing inequality and poverty is crucial in promoting sustainable inclusive economic development in Gorontalo Province.

Abstract

The Composite Stock Price Index (CSPI) is a valuable number in assessing the performance of the stocks listed on the stock exchange; by looking at the Composite Stock Price Index, investors can determine their investment strategy. However, the rise and fall of the Composite Stock Price Index depend on a country's macroeconomic conditions; if the economy weakens, the company's performance will also undermine investors' confidence, and confidence decreases. Analysing the relationship between the Composite Stock Price Index with macroeconomic factors can show how much the influence of these factors on the increase or decrease in the Composite Stock Price Index, the macroeconomic factors in question are inflation, interest rates and the rupiah exchange rate. In this study, dependency analysis was carried out with the Copula approach method involving the Tau Kendal method for parameter estimation and the Maximum Likelihood Estimation (MLE) method to choose the best Copula model to explain the relationship between the Composite Stock Price Index and these macroeconomic factors. Research results in it are found that the best Copula that can explain the dependency structure between the Composite Stock Price, The index with inflation and interest rates is the Gumbel Copula with parameters θ ̂= 1.264 and θ ̂= 1.174, While the Copula model is the best that can explain the structure of the dependency between Composite Stock Price Index and the exchange rate is Copula Student-t with parameter θ ̂= −0.6037.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of demographic bonuses and education levels on economic growth in Indonesia during the period 2015 – 2024. This is a quantitative study using secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). Using panel data regression from 34 provinces in Indonesia over a 10-year period (2015-2024), the data analysis model used is the “Fixed Effect Model (FEM)” panel regression. The results of the study found that (1) The dependency ratio has a negative and insignificant effect on economic growth in Indonesia. This shows that an increase in the dependency ratio tends to be followed by a decrease in yhe dependecy ratio. However, this relationship is not statistically significant. (2) The labor force participation rate variabel has a positive and significant effect on economic growth in Indonesia. This mean that the higher the involvement of the working-age population in economic activities, the greater their contribution to economic growth. (3) The average length of cshoolling variable has a negative and significant effect on economic growth in Indonesia. This indicates that an increase in the average length of schooling has not been accompanied by improvements in the quality and relevance of education, so that graduates tend to be unable to contribute optimally to productivity and economic development.

Abstract

The income of workers in North Leato Village, Dumbo Raya District, reaches Rp. 3,600,000 per month. The study shows that there is a very significant relationship between the income and household consumption level of port workers of loading and unloading workers (TKBM), with an F value of 126,680 and a significance level of 0.000. This confirms that income plays an important role in determining consumption patterns, where the increase in income increases spending on daily needs. The Marginal Propensity to Consume (MPC) value of 3 and the Marginal Propensity to Save (MPS) value of 1 indicate people's tendency to spend more than save, reflecting the priority of meeting basic needs in low-income groups.

Abstract

Business activities are mostly dominated by the community through the frame of Creative Economy and Micro, Small, and Menengan Enterprises. The choice of this frame is because the concept is simple and affordable, especially for the lower middle class. Home industry products in the framework of MSMEs play a major role in economic growth and employment. Problems for the creative economy and MSMEs include a lack of knowledge about the establishment of MSMEs, no permits, no branding, and the most important problem is digital marketing strategies. This is also found in Pelehu Village, Bilato District, with small household industries (MSMEs) starting to be developed but not yet using a digital business system, the appearance side of both Labeling, Packaging, and marketing is still relatively traditional and does not have a business license. To improve the economic self-sufficiency of business actors in Pelehu Village, Bilato District, Gorontalo Regency, the Thematic KKN implementation team by involving lecturers and students conducted socialization and training for MSME actors, housewives, and MSME observers. The main objectives of this Thematic KKN program are to assist MSMEs related to business licensing to obtain a Business Identification Number (BIN) to be legally legal; foster business actors to design MSME products and digital marketing systems; and involve students in guiding and motivating MSME actors. With the hope that it can independently encourage the economy in the Pelehu village area, Bilato District, Gorontalo Regency.
