Abstract

This study aims to analyse the implementation of the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) model within the quality assurance system at SMK Sore Tulungagung. Previous studies emphasise that PDCA is essential for institutional quality improvement, yet its application in vocational schools remains underexplored. In Indonesia, ISO-based management systems have encouraged schools to adopt structured planning and evaluation mechanisms. This research uses a qualitative case study design through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. Key informants include the principal, the internal quality assurance team, and the administrative staff. The findings show that the planning stage involves comprehensive program mapping aligned with ISO 9001:2015 and risk management principles. The implementation stage demonstrates clear documentation, defined responsibilities, and responsive service flows. The evaluation stage incorporates satisfaction surveys, internal audits, and management review meetings that ensure issues are systematically addressed. Follow-up actions are carried out through corrective measures and continuous improvement efforts. The study also finds that digital monitoring is still limited, affecting long-term consistency. Overall, the PDCA model strengthens the school’s quality culture and operational effectiveness. This study demonstrates how an adaptive, data-driven PDCA framework can enhance internal quality assurance in vocational institutions and recommends integrating digital monitoring systems to ensure sustainability.

Abstract

Pancasila Education learning practices have not been able to form character and accommodate the learning needs of all students. Technology optimisation is needed to support learning. Through differentiated interactive media PaSiBaTer, an acronym for pairing cards, watching videos, reading reading materials and applying Pancasila values is expected to improve the caring character of grade V students. This type of development research (R & D) adopts the steps of Borg and Gall. The research stages include: 1) needs analysis and planning; 2) media development, validation, revision; 3) implementation with small group and field trials; 4) measuring effectiveness. Media expert validation for display 82.5; video 84.7; reading material 84.7 with very valid criteria. Material expert validation score 97.5 with very valid criteria. The results of learning observations show the criteria for media practicality are very high. The effectiveness of the media is proven by the results of the SPSS 29 t-test, student character observation data before and after using the media with a significance value of <0.001. There is a significant difference between before and after the use of media to improve students' caring character.

Abstract

The quality of learning in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum continues to face significant challenges, particularly regarding teachers’ pedagogical competencies. National data from UKG, AKG, PMM, and Sulingjar reveal persistent gaps in pedagogical mastery, which directly affect the effectiveness of differentiated learning and the achievement of the 8 Graduate Profile Dimensions, the new national learning outcomes standard. School principals’ academic supervision is viewed as a strategic instrument to address these issues; however, previous studies have largely focused on administrative aspects, with limited attention to integrating deep learning approaches within the supervision process. This study aims to analyze the role of optimizing principals’ academic supervision in enhancing teachers’ pedagogical competencies to support the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum based on deep learning. A literature study method was employed by reviewing books, scientific articles, educational policies, and relevant research published within the last decade. The findings show that systematic, continuous, and needs-based academic supervision can significantly improve teachers’ ability to design active and reflective learning, develop HOTS-based instructional materials, and create collaborative learning environments that support the achievement of the 8 Graduate Profile Dimensions.

Abstract

This research aims to identify practices in implementing effective learning-based supervision. Effective learning-based supervision is a process of coaching and professional development of teaching staff which aims to improve the quality of learning in the classroom. This research uses the library research method to analyze various relevant literature related to the implementation of effective learning-based supervision, starting from analyzing the basic concepts of effective learning-based supervision, the evaluation framework which includes aspects evaluated in the process of implementing effective learning- based supervision, then indicators of success in implementation of effective learning-based supervision as well as evaluation instruments in implementing effective learning-based supervision and this research also discusses related problems and efforts in evaluating the implementation of effective learning-based supervision. The results show that effective learning-based supervision has great potential in improving the quality of learning. However, the implementation of supervision still faces various problems in its implementation, lack of commitment from school principals or supervisors, limited time, minimal support from other teaching staff, and budget limitations. Of course, more systematic, integrated and sustainable efforts are needed to overcome these problems, including, by increasing the number of teaching staff, allocating sufficient funds, and encouraging active teacher participation.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has made it imperative to adopt innovative instructional approaches in elementary-level IPAS (Natural and Social Science) education in Indonesia. Baseline data from Cluster 2, Pule District revealed that only 40.19% of Grade VI students met the minimum mastery criterion (KKM) in 2024/2025. This study examines the effects of AI-based IPAS learning through deep learning (X1), digital literacy (X2), and learning independence (X3) on student learning outcomes (Y) using a quantitative correlational non-experimental design. A proportional random sample of 129 students was drawn from 190 Grade VI students across 12 elementary schools. Data were analyzed through Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) using SmartPLS 4.0. The measurement model confirmed satisfactory convergent validity (all AVE > 0.50), discriminant validity (Fornell–Larcker criterion), and composite reliability (all CR > 0.90). The structural model yielded R² = 0.784, indicating that the three variables jointly explain 78.4% of the variance in learning outcomes (GoF = 0.752, very high). All four hypotheses were accepted: AI-Deep Learning (β = 0.324, t = 4.872, p < 0.05), Digital Literacy (β = 0.287, t = 4.215, p < 0.05), Learning Independence (β = 0.412, t = 6.134, p < 0.05), and their simultaneous effect (F = 124.567, p < 0.05). Learning independence emerged as the dominant predictor (f² = 0.892). These findings advocate for an integrated digital-autonomous learning ecosystem as a systemic response to persistent IPAS underachievement in Indonesian elementary schools.

Abstract

Madrasah teachers play a strategic role in improving the quality of Islamic education, but in practice they still face challenges such as low professional competence, limited learning innovation, and a lack of effective and sustainable guidance. One effort to overcome these problems is through the implementation of targeted and systematic supervision. This study aims to analyze the concept and implementation of the directive supervision approach in madrasah teacher development and its implications for improving teacher professionalism. The directive approach is considered relevant because it provides clear, structured, and effective guidance to enhance teacher competence and performance continuously. This study uses the library research method with a descriptive qualitative approach, and data were obtained from books, scientific journals, and previous studies. The results show that directive supervision is effective in improving teacher professionalism through structured guidance, mentoring, and evaluation, enabling teachers to become more disciplined, skilled, and focused in carrying out their duties. However, if applied rigidly, this approach may limit teachers’ creativity and initiative. Therefore, directive supervision needs to be combined with collaborative elements so that teacher development becomes more adaptive, participatory, and sustainable.

Abstract

Rendahnya hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) di sekolah dasar masih menjadi persoalan yang perlu ditangani. Hal ini disebabkan oleh dominasi metode pem-belajaran konvensional dan belum optimalnya pemanfaatan teknologi serta pendekatan pembelajaran yang inovatif. Di sisi lain, penggunaan Chromebook dan penerapan model Problem-Based Learning (PBL) dinilai berpotensi mendukung peningkatan motivasi, kolaborasi, serta keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa melalui pembelajaran yang lebih kontekstual dan bermakna. Oleh karena itu, integrasi teknologi dan pendekatan pembelajaran aktif menjadi kebutuhan mendesak dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran IPAS. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan Chromebook dan model pembelajaran Problem-Based Learning (PBL) terhadap hasil belajar siswa, baik secara parsial maupun simultan, pada materi Perekonomi-an Daerah di SD Gugus 4 Kecamatan Kalidawir. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain asosiatif, meli-batkan 45 siswa kelas V yang dipilih melalui teknik proportional ran-dom sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes hasil belajar, angket ska-la Likert, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan regresi linier berganda dengan bantuan SPSS. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Chromebook nilai sig. 0,002 < 0,005 dan model PBL nilai sig. 0,000 < 0,005 berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa, dengan kontribusi simultan sebesar 64,2% (Adjusted R² = 0,642). Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi Chromebook dan model pembelaja-ran Problem-Based Learning berkontribusi positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPAS. Kombinasi ini tidak hanya mening-katkan pemahaman siswa secara akademis, tetapi juga membentuk keterampilan abad ke-21 yang penting bagi peserta didik.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the process of internalizing religious values through habituation-based practices and its contribution to the formation of students' religious character at SMP Islam Al Azhaar Tulungagung within the context of digital culture. This research is significant because the increasing use of social media and exposure to online content can influence students' moral orientations. In contrast, scholarly studies that explain an integrative model combining religious habituation with awareness of digital technology use in character education within Islamic schools remain limited. This study employed a qualitative case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation involving the school principal, teachers, and students. The data were analyzed using an interactive analysis model consisting of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The trustworthiness of the data was ensured through tests of credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The findings reveal that the internalization of religious values occurs through three interrelated stages: value transformation, value transaction, and value transinternalization. This study uses these three stages as a conceptual framework to explain the process of value internalization through religious habituation within the school culture. This process contributes to the development of students' religious character, which is reflected in disciplined worship practices, social concern, attitudes of tawadhu (humility) and politeness, as well as wisdom in the use of digital technology. This study is limited to a single case study conducted at a single educational institution; therefore, the findings cannot be generalized. Nevertheless, this research makes a conceptual contribution by proposing a framework for the internalization of religious values grounded in habituation and by opening opportunities for further research across diverse contexts of Islamic education.

Abstract

Keterampilan berbicara adalah suatu keterampilan yang wajib dimiliki oleh setiap orang, karena berbicara adalah salah satu media komunikasi yang digunakan setiap hari kepada orang lain. Salah satu cara meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa adalah dengan menggunakan metode story telling. Metode story telling atau biasa disebut dengan metode bercerita merupakan salah satu cara yang efektif untuk melibatkan anak dalam meningkatkan kemampuan keterampilan berbicaranya Berdasarkan hasil pra observasi di SDI Al – Ikhlas, Karangrejo, Tulungagung menunjukkan bahwa lembaga pendidikan tersebut telah menerapkan metode story telling pada muatan pelajaran bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas II A sesuai dengan visi sekolah yakni membentuk generasi muslim yang beriman dan bertaqwa, berahklak mulia, cerdas, terampil, serta mandiri. Saat pra observasi ada beberapa fenomena pada beberapa siswa yang memiliki semangat dan keceriaan dalam belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana proses pembelajara pelaksanaan keterampilan berbicara melalui metode Story Telling dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas II SDI Al – Ikhlas Karangrejo Tulungagung. Berdasarkan uraian diatas data hasil penelitian, dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui metode story telling cukup efektif digunakan untuk melatih keterampilan berbicara siswa pada mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia terutama dikalangan kelas rendah. Keterampilan berbicara siswa melalui metode story telling dengan nilai rata-rata 57,2, dari hasil rekapitulasi melalui kecenderungan siswa pada saat melakukan kesalahan pada setiap aspek.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi permasalahan siswa masih ada yang mengalami kesulitan dalam mengemukakan gagasan, menuangkan ide, menggunakan struktur bahasa yang baik, menentukan pilihan gaya bahasa, menggunakan ejaan dan tanda baca yang tepat. Tujuan peneliti yaitu untuk menganalisis kemampuan menulis teks deskripsi siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 1 Moyoketen, Kabupaten Tulungagung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunkan yaitu observasi, tes, wawancara, dokumentasi. Adapun pengecekan keabsahan data yang digunakan yaitu ketekunan/keajegan dan triangulasi. Hasil yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini yaitu dilihat dari rata-rata setiap aspek. Aspek pertama isi gagasan yang dikemukakan mendapatkan rata-rata sebesar 27,5, aspek kedua organisasi isi mendapatkan rata-rata sebesar 13,5, aspek ketiga struktur dan tata bahasa mendapatkan rata-rata sebesar 17,7, aspek keempat gaya:pilihan struktur dan diksi mendapatkan nilai rata-rata sebesar 11,2, aspek kelima ejaan dan tanda baca mendapatkan rata-rata sebesar 4,1. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu setiap siswa mempunyai kemampuan menulis yang berbeda-beda hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari nilai setiap aspek, jumlah nilai dan rata-rata yang di peroleh. Implikasi pada penelitian ini agar siswa mampu meningkatkan kemampuan menulisnya belajar dan berlatih agar lebih bisa meningkatkan kemampuan menulis mereka khususnya dalam kemampuan menulis teks deskripsi.
