Abstract

Distribution is one of the most important things to increase customer satisfaction. However, distribution is often a problem for companies. The wider the marketing area owned by the company, the more complex the problems that arise in the distribution schedule. PT DBM's Purwokerto branch also faced a similar situation, where distribution activities were not well coordinated, resulting in lost sales, accumulation of goods in each warehouse and swelling storage costs. Therefore, an appropriate method is needed to schedule distribution activities to each warehouse, so as to reduce distribution costs. The method used in this research is Distribution Requirement Planning. This method is effective for reducing distribution costs. The results showed that by using the Distribution Requirement Planning method, distribution costs were lower than the company's distribution method. Distribution costs using the company distribution method amounted to Rp. 1,371,391, while distribution costs using the Distribution Requirements Planning method amounted to Rp. 1,040,501, resulting in a cost reduction of 24.13%.

Abstract

When working on diesel engine repairs, operators at PT. Minindo mostly does its job by sitting on the machine it is working on. The operator's job analysis was carried out using the REBA method, based on the analysis a score of 11 was obtained which means that the risk is very high so that work methods are needed to be improved. The proposed improvement is to make a staircase design using Indonesian anthropometric data. The ladder design is made so that the operator does not have to be on top of the machine when working, because there is a risk of falling and musculoskeletal disorders Based on data processing, the height of the ladder is 137cm, the height of the top rung is 115cm, the width of the ladder is 177cm, the width of the steps is 20cm, the depth of storage for tools is 81cm, the width for storing tools is 47cm. The ladder is expected to reduce the risk of accidents, as well as improve the work posture of PT. Minindo. The stairs sizes obtained are then applied to Solidwork software.

Abstract

This community service activity, consisting of socialization and training on Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), was conducted at SMK Duta Bangsa Balikpapan to address the low awareness of OHS implementation among students, particularly in the Heavy Equipment Engineering major. The primary issues identified were the minimal use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and a lack of compliance with safe working procedures. The methods employed included initial observation, socialization of basic OHS concepts, PPE usage simulation, equipment inspection, and emergency response roleplay. Evaluation was carried out through random question-and-answer sessions to measure cognitive aspects, as well as direct observation of changes in student behavior and skills. The results demonstrated a significant increase in students' knowledge, skills, and compliance regarding OHS application. Furthermore, a safety-first work culture was established in the practical workshop, reinforced by the active supervisory role of the teachers. This program not only improves OHS literacy but also delivers a long-term impact by instilling professional and safe work habits from an early stage, aligning with the actual needs of the industrial sector.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance Motor Vehicle Crash (MVC) prevention efforts in PT. XYZ's operational activities through the implementation of the TASBE PaDaGeSiT innovation. The study was conducted to address the persistently high potential risk of MVC despite the company's achievement of zero incidents in the Motor Vehicle Safety (MVS) aspect. Problem identification and analysis were carried out using fishbone diagrams, Pareto analysis, and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) to determine root causes and prioritize risks requiring control measures. Based on the analysis results, the TASBE innovation, founded on the Plan-Do-Check-Action (PDCA) cycle and strengthened by the PaDaGeSiT behavioral approach, was implemented. The implementation results demonstrated a reduction of more than 50% in Risk Priority Number (RPN) values for major risk factors and an overall risk reduction of 89.8%, resulting in a more controlled risk distribution. These findings indicate that the TASBE PaDaGeSiT innovation is effective in strengthening the MVC prevention system, improving road safety risk control, and supporting the sustainability of the company's zero-incident achievement.
