Abstract

The globalitation era is an era that requires people to quickly adapt to the times that are increasingly advancing rapidly. Because if it is not adaptive it will be a human being left behind. While the era of globalization demands a tight contestation. Especially in the economic sector. Every global company has its own strategy in marketing its business. They don't think about the fate of their competitors. That's because they think that other companies are tough competitors. So that their competition prioritizes individual (company) profits and stops other companies that have the same business product. Of course, this global business competition is contrary to the principles of Islamic economics. Which, the principles of Islamic economics are not solely seeking individual gain. But also think about mutual benefits. Therefore, there are at least three Islamic economic principles that must exist even in the midst of global business competition, namely multiple ownership, freedom to act, and social justice. These three basic principles of Islamic economics must still exist in economic behavior and remain relevant even in the midst of global economic contestation.

Abstract

Vocational High Schools (SMK) have a very important role in the Indonesian education system. SMKs are essential for equipping students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to enter the world of work, such as provision of employability skills, providing educational alternatives, increasing employment opportunities, collaboration with industry, encouraging entrepreneurship, and educational inclusion. SMK Negeri 1 Sungailiat is a leading vocational school dedicated to providing quality education in various fields, such as economics. The choice of major is an important first step for SMK students in building their careers. However, deciding on a major that matches interests, talents, and career goals can be difficult, especially for students who do not yet understand careers in economics. Career Development Theories is a conceptual framework that describes how individuals make career choices, develop themselves, and move forward in their careers throughout life. These theories help us understand the factors that influence career decision-making, the process of career identity formation, and one's professional development from childhood to retirement. The purpose of this activity is to apply CDT to SMK Negeri 1 Sungailiat students to help them choose a major in economics, as well as see how students' perceptions of the economist profession are influenced by self-efficacy beliefs, expected outcomes, and personal goals. The results achieved through community service activities are documented in a report on the implementation phase which includes the initial visit, preparation, and education. For future development plans, educating students in determining their choice of economics major is very important to implement Career Development Theories.

Abstract

The halal food industry in Bangka Belitung is a rapidly growing sector in line with the increasing awareness of Muslim consumers about the importance of halal products. This study aims to analyze the market power of halal food companies in the province using the Lerner Index, and to relate it to the price concept proposed by Ibn Khaldun. The method used is a quantitative approach by calculating the Lerner Index based on price and marginal cost data from 173 halal food companies. The research results show a variation in market power, where some companies have the ability to set prices above marginal cost, while others operate in a more competitive market. In Ibn Khaldun's perspective, excessively high prices due to market power can create injustice in the accessibility of halal products. These findings underscore the importance of policies that support healthy competition and fair pricing, to create a more equitable halal market in Bangka Belitung

Abstract

This study assesses the technical efficiency and returns to scale of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) within the halal food sector of Pangkalpinang City. Employing a Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA) with a Cobb-Douglas production function, the research analyzes cross-sectional data from 50 halal-certified fish processing MSMEs to determine the productivity of labor, capital, and raw materials. The findings reveal that the sector operates under decreasing returns to scale (total elasticity = 0.934), indicating systemic inefficiencies in scaling operations. Raw materials emerged as the primary positive driver of production. Conversely, capital investment was statistically insignificant, while increased labor inputs negatively impacted output, suggesting critical skills deficits and capital underutilization. The efficiency distribution confirms a significant performance gap, with the majority of firms (52%) operating at a moderate efficiency level (0.51–0.70) and only 24% achieving high efficiency (>0.75). The study concludes that there is an urgent need for targeted interventions aimed at enhancing operational efficiency—primarily through workforce upskilling and strategic capital investment—before these MSMEs can achieve sustainable growth.
