Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keadaan berbagai merek siaran berita stasiun televisi swasta berdasarkan dimensi ekuitas mereknya, dengan memfokuskan pada empat dimensi ekuitas merek, yang meliputi loyalitas merek, kesadaran merek, persepsi kualitas, dan asosiasi merek. Metode yang digunakan metode deskriptif, dengan analisis data menggunakan tabulasi dan teknik skala. Hasil penelitian dari dimensi loyalitas merek tiga besar siaran berita secara berurutan adalah Buser, Patroli dan Liputan 6 Petang. Dari dimensi Kesadaran Merek tiga siaran berita yang disebut adalah Buser, Patroli dan Liputan 6 Petang. Dari segi asosiasi merek, Buletin Siang dan Liputan 6 Siang (44%), diasosiasikan sebagai siaran berita yang penyajiannya cepat. Patroli (62%) diasosiasikan siaran berita yang penyajiannya akurat (benar dan obyektif) Info Manca Negara (56%) diasosiasikan sebagai siaran berita yang penyajiannya cukup menarik. Dari dimensi persepsi kualitas yang dijadikan pedoman adalah, kecepatan berita 31%, keakuratan aberita 36%, penyajian berita 33%, dengan urutan merek siaran berita Liputan 6 Siang, Buser, dan Patroli.

Abstract

Building a loyal customer community is the aim of transportation business. Citilink as one of national flag carrier manages its customer relation by maintaining communication among customer, corporate, and workforce. Using communication management approach to build a close connection among its customers, Citilink focused on 4 aspects: makes regular repeat purchase, purchases across products and service lines, refers others, and demonstratesimmunity to the pull of competition. A system of customer satisfaction fulfillment needs to be established to ensure customer loyalty.

Abstract

The development of transportation industry has removed the train business from its monopolistic business. Sooner or later, the government will open up opportunity for private parties to participate in the train business. In order to successfully anticipate this future, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) needs to change its communication strategy. Integrated Service Marketing Communication (ISMC) was recommended as a strategic approach covering management of service promise, management of customer expectation, customer education improvement, and management of internal marketing communication.

Abstract

Tropical area is widely concerned for its biodiversity. In the past, European expansion made it possible for naturalists to explore around the world since most countries in equatorial regions were European colonies. Through the projects of natural history European imperialism tried to exploit the nature for their interests. In 1820 the Dutch government launched the establishment of Natuurkundige Kommisie voor Netherlands Indië (Natural Science Commission for Netherlands Indies). Among the few members of Natuurkundige Kommisie for Netherlands Indies was E.A Forsten who conducted his scientific research in North Celebes and Moluccan Islands in early 19th century. By mostly using Forsten’s diary and letters as the main sources this article attempts to narrate Forsten’s scientific expedition and its contribution to the natural science.Keywords: Biodiversity, E.A Forsten, natural history Wilayah tropis terkenal akan keanekaragaman hayati yang melimpah. Pada era kolonialisme, ekspansi Eropa memungkinkan bagi para naturalis Barat untuk menjelajahi kawasan equator mengingat sebagian besar negara di wilayah khatulistiwa merupakan jajahan negara-negara Eropa. Melalui proyek-proyek mempelajari alam  dan penduduk di koloni-koloninya imperialisme Eropa mendanai riset terutama bagi kepentingan mereka. Pada tahun 1820 pemerintah Belanda membentuk Natuurkundige Kommisie voor Netherlands Indië (Komisi Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam untuk Hindia Belanda). Di antara beberapa anggota Natuurkundige Kommisie ialah  EA Forsten yang melakukan penelitian ilmiah di Sulawesi Utara dan Kepulauan Maluku pada awal abad ke-19. Dengan sebagian besar menggunakan buku harian dan surat-surat Forsten sebagai sumber utama,  artikel ini mencoba untuk menarasikan ekspedisi ilmiah  Forsten beserta kontribusinya terhadap ilmu pengetahuan.Kata kunci: keanekaragaman hayati, E.A.       Forsten, sejarah alam

Abstract

After World War I German business activities in Netherlands Indies became a seriously earnest threat according to British Chamber of Commerce because the British firms were anxious that this would menace their market in the Dutch colony. In their publications during 1920-1923, the features and editorial comments of Netherlands Indies Review frequently exposed the rivalry between Britain and Germany. The approach of this paper is business history that narrates to what extent the commercial competition happened between the two industrial countries as it was shown by the Netherlands Indies Review, a monthly journal issued by the British Chamber of Commerce. Eventually, the British Chamber of Commerce concluded that Germany’s efforts to strengthen her commercial position in Netherlands Indies after the Great War was not meeting with any success. Pasca Perang Dunia I aktivitas-aktivitas bisnis Jerman di Hindia Belanda menjadi ancaman serius menurut Kamar Dagang Inggris dikarenakan Inggris cemas bahwa mereka akan mengancam distribusi produk-produk industri Inggris di koloni Belanda tersebut. Dalam publikasi Netherlands Indies Review pada kurun waktu 1920-1923 berbagai berita editorial yang dimuat oleh jurnal milik Kamar Dagang Inggris ini sering mengulas persaingan bisnis yang sengit antara Inggris dan Jerman. Pendekatan dalam makalah ini adalah sejarah bisnis yang bertujuan untuk menarasikan sejauhmana persaingan bisnis antara kedua negara industri ini sebagaimana dipublikasikan oleh Netherlands Indies Reviews. Kamar dagang Inggris kemudian menyimpulkan bahwa upaya Jerman untuk memperkuat posisi komersialnya di Hindia Belanda setelah Perang Dunia I tidak berjalan dengan sukses.

Abstract

The entry of the current 4.0 era known as the era of disruption that requires various aspects to go forward and be able to follow the development of technological progress. It takes innovation, problem-solving, and creativity to face this era of disruption. One aspect is the promotion of Indonesia culture as a national identity which is still limited using a variety of conventional media, which must be changed immediately. Social networking media is an effective means to promote diverse cultures of the archipelago, young users dominate internet users in Indonesia, especially social networking media. In this community service program, giving an understanding in the form of in-depth counseling about the identity and preservation of local cultural values, followed by training in the use of social media, especially Instagram to increase awareness of millennial and Gen Z teenagers about the preservation of the local culture they have. The existence of training and counseling on the use of social media as preservation of local culture namely Kuningan, West Java through the promotion of local culture with Instagram as the medium, it is hoped that after attending the training they will be able to implement Instagram as a means of promoting Kuningan’s local culture.

Abstract

Brand activation programs have become the mainstay weapons of marketing communications for marketers or brand managers today. Many creative programs were launched to bring consumers and brands closer, to create a pleasant and meaningful consumer experience, and to build a positive image in consumers' minds about brands. This article examines the extent of the effect of the brand activation program on the brand image by utilizing special moments at a fast-food restaurant outlet, McDonald's. This global branded restaurant launches the "Free Egg McMuffin" program to customers in welcoming the National Breakfast Day. Using a quantitative approach, a set of questionnaires was distributed to 100 respondents. Cluster sampling was chosen because of the heterogeneous nature of the respondents. The results of the regression analysis showed that the brand activation variable significantly and positively affected 42.2% of the brand image variable, while the dimensions that had the most positive impact on brand activation were interesting and beneficial factors. This study supports the power of brand activation programs in encouraging the creation of positive images related to brands. Thus, marketers can enhance the attractiveness and benefits of the program through content creativity and context in order to have the maximum impact on brand image amplification.

Abstract

Abstract: After gaining Independence from the Dutch in 1945, Indonesia urged to found its national research institute. Therefore, the government launched Indonesian Science Council (Madjelis Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia/MIPI) in 1956. MIPI was established based on Act. No 6/1956 and acted as the highest national scientific institution with research activities covering the natural sciences, cultural and social sciences. Meanwhile, following the Cold War between the Communist (Soviet) Bloc and the Capitalist (US Bloc), the 1950s saw the rise of communism in South East Asia. The situation worried Americans who, under President Eisenhower, were active in fighting against the spread of communist ideology by giving aids to the countries in the region. Using the history of knowledge as the perspective and employing primary sources, namely Bulletin MIPI, Berita MIPI, this article depicts scientific activities conducted by MIPI in rivalries between the Soviet Bloc and US Bloc during The Cold War. Having good American connections, Madjelis Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia had proved to be an eminent actor to promote, produce, and distribute scientific knowledge in the country’s history. Abstrak: Setelah memperoleh kemerdekaan dari Belanda pada tahun 1945, Indonesia perlu segera mendirikan lembaga penelitian nasional. Oleh karena itu, pemerintah mendirikan Madjelis Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia (MIPI) Indonesia pada tahun 1956. MIPI didirikan berdasarkan Undang-Undang. no 6/1956 dan bertindak sebagai lembaga ilmiah nasional tertinggi dengan kegiatan-kegiatan yang meliputi ilmu alam, budaya dan ilmu sosial. Sementara itu, dekade 1950-an merupakan periode kebangkitan komunisme di Asia Tenggara. Situasi itu membuat pemerintah Amerika khawatir. Di bawah Presiden Eisenhower mereka aktif memerangi penyebaran ideologi komunis dengan memberikan bantuan kepada negara-negara di kawasan itu. Menggunakan sejarah pengetahuan sebagai perspektif dan memanfaatkan sumber-sumber primer yaitu Buletin MIPI, Berita MIPI artikel ini menggambarkan kegiatan ilmiah yang dilakukan oleh MIPI dalam konteks persaingan antara Blok Soviet dan Blok Amerika Serikat dalam periode Perang Dingin. Memiliki koneksi yang baik dengan Amerika Serikat, Madjelis Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia pernah menjadi aktor utama dalam mempromosikan, memproduksi dan mendistribusikan pengetahuan ilmiah dalam sejarah negara ini.

Abstract

This study intends to describe the discourse of the geopark in Indonesia in the Indonesian media. Media coverage is a form of knowledge in society, including about geopark in the context of sustainable regional development. Data was obtained based on analysis of media content (local and national) during 2019 and analyzed. by using sociology knowledge approach of discourse. As a result, the mass media, as a source of knowledge in society, should be able to play a greater role in providing understanding to audiences about the geopark and aspects of sustainable regional development.
