Abstract

Metode pembelajaran guru sangat berpengaruh pada suasana kelas dan tujuan pembelajaran. Jika metode pembelajaran guru kurang menarik maka siswa akan cepat jenuh dan pasif. Oleh karena itu guru harus memiliki metode pembelajaran yang menyenangkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektivitasan dari implementasi metode bernayanyi pada mufaradat Bahasa Arab untuk meningkatkan maharah kalam siswa kelas VIII di MTs Negeri 4 Surabaya. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Peneliti mengambil data dengan observasi, dokumentasi, tes dan wawancara di MTs Negeri 4 Surabaya. Guru di MTs Negeri 4 yang memiliki banyak sekali metode pembelajaran, namun metode bernyanyi dinilai lebih efektif dan bisa mencapai tujuan pembelajaran khususnya dalam meningkatkan kalam siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa senang dan antusias dalam mengucapkan mufradat Bahasa arab dengan metode bernyanyi dengan begitu kemampuan kalam siswa bisa terus bertambah. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode bernyanyi pada mufaradat Bahasa Arab mampu meningkatkan maharah kalam siswa kelas VIII di MTs Negeri 4 Surabaya.

Abstract

Proses pembelajaran bahasa arab, sering kali siswa menghadapi problematika dan kesulitan ketika belajar bahasa Arab karena berbagai penyebab, baik faktor internal maupun faktor eksternal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi lalu mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor yang untuk mengidentifikasi masalah yang dihadapi siswa serta mencari solusi yang tepat agar pembelajaran Bahasa Arab lebih efektif dan menarik. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Subjek penelitian ini yakni guru dan siswa, Penentuan subjek penelitian dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling yang berjumlah 5 orang informan. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) kurangnya minat dan motivasi dari dalam diri siswa untuk mempelajari Bahasa Arab, (2) kesulitan dalam membaca dan memahami arti dari setiap kosa kata Bahasa Arab, (3) kurangnya kesadaran dan perhatian orangtua terhadap siswa tentang pembelajaran ekstrakurikuler, (4) metode penyampaian guru yang terlalu repetitif atau monoton, kurangnya inovasi dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran hanya menggunakan metode ceramah dan penggunaan buku sebagai bahan pembelajaran, sehingga membuat siswa tidak tertarik untuk mempelajari Bahasa Arab lebih mendalam

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the "Becoming a Translation Practitioner" program organized by the Lisan Arabi Centre for Translation in improving translation competencies among higher education students. The program was designed with a project-based approach to address the gap between academic training and the demands of the translation industry. Involving 60 students from UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya and UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. this research employed a mixed-method approach, including interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings revealed a significant improvement in participants' translation competencies, as indicated by an increase in the average scores from 67.2 (pre-test) to 82.4 (post-test). The program enabled participants to produce final products in the form of ISBN-standard books, demonstrating their practical translation skills. The challenges, such as limited vocabulary and time constraints, were identified; however, participants generally provided positive feedback regarding the program's impact on their career readiness as professional translators. The study concludes that a project-based approach, supported by integrating technology and guidance from experienced practitioners, can effectively enhance translation competencies. These findings serve as an essential reference for developing similar training programs in other institutions to meet the evolving needs of the translation industry. This research contributes to developing innovative training models in higher education by integrating practical approaches and technology to enhance the relevance and competitiveness of graduates in the job market.

Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model combined with vocabulary cards in improving the Arabic speaking skills (maharah kalam) of Madrasah Tsanawiyah students. The background of this study stems from the low speaking ability of students due to limited vocabulary, shyness, and a lack of interactive learning methods. This study uses a quantitative approach with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design, where the research subjects consist of 38 seventh-grade students at MTsN 1 Lamongan. Data were collected through speaking tests before (pretest) and after (posttest) the learning treatment using the TPS model based on vocabulary cards. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics and a paired sample t-test. The results of the study showed a significant increase in the average score from 74.39 on the pretest to 89.58 on the posttest, with a difference of 15.19 points. The t-test yielded a value of -8.736 with a significance level of p = 0.000 (< 0.05), confirming that the difference between the pretest and posttest scores is statistically significant. These findings confirm that the implementation of the TPS model based on vocabulary cards is effective in improving students' speaking skills. Pedagogically, this model not only expands vocabulary mastery but also enhances confidence, oral participation, and fluency in speaking. This study recommends that Arabic language teachers in madrasahs can adopt the TPS with vocabulary cards as an alternative contextual, interactive, and enjoyable learning strategy in developing maharah kalam.

Abstract

Purpose- This research aims to describe the process of assisting the matriculation of Arabic competence at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Pasuruan. Design/Methodology/Approach- This research was conducted to add to the treasures of community assistance with the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach. The method used in this mentoring process uses the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach with a five-step method, namely Discovery, Dream, Design, Define, Destiny. qualitative data collection is done by observation, interviews and documentation. Sources of data are teachers and students as well as assistants. While the collected data is processed and analyzed using data reduction flow, data display and conclusion drawing. Findings- The results of the assistance show that the Arabic language competency matriculation assistance at MAN 1 Pasuruan was carried out in five stages, namely Discovery, Dream, Design, Define, Destiny. Every stage of this assistance is carried out properly. While the results of this assistance are also very good, where students are able to explore the competencies they have and all of them follow the process of this activity properly. So that they are able to take part in Arabic language competitions both held by local madrasas and on a wider scale.  Research Limitations/Implications- This research is limited to facilitation of Arabic competency matriculation at MAN 1 Pasuruan. This matriculation assistance focuses on efforts to increase the competency of students in mastering Arabic language skills which are focused on preparation for participating in various Arabic language competitions.
