Abstract

This study aims to explore the strategies and methods used by MAS Al-Ishlahiyah Binjai in shaping students' morals and discipline, because there are indications of students who are less and or not disciplined in following the rules and there are still students who are late. In disciplining students, teachers have a role, so as not to hinder and disturb other students. Therefore, to find out the role of teachers in overcoming indiscipline, research is needed. The research method used is a case study with a qualitative approach, through participatory observation and interviews with teaching staff and students. The purpose of the study is to find out how the efforts made by teachers to provide understanding to students who are indicated as naughty or undisciplined at MAS Al Ishlahiyah Binjai, so that the results of the efforts made to shape MAS Al-Ishlahiyah students to be disciplined can be known.

Abstract

The low character of caring for the school environment in students makes the school environment dirty and causes damage to school facilities, even though this character is crucial in forming a caring and responsible attitude in students. This research aims to improve the caring character of the school environment in students through group guidance services using discussion techniques. The research method used is action research with a one group pre-test and post-test design. The research was carried out in 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, evaluation and reflection. The research sample used purposive sampling consisting of 10 students who had a low level of concern for the school environment. Data collection was carried out by distributing a character scale that cared about the school environment after taking action. The results of the research show that discussion technique group guidance services can improve the caring character of the school environment in students.

Abstract

Fiqh learning in tahfidz institutions often faces challenges such as low student participation and understanding due to monotonous teaching approaches. This study aims to describe the implementation of the ASSURE instructional design model based on multimedia to improve fiqh learning outcomes at the Tahfidz Quran Foundation Raudhatul Hasanah Mulyorejo. This research employed a qualitative field research approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects consisted of one fiqh teacher and 20 tahfidz students selected purposively. The findings indicate that the use of interactive multimedia, such as animated videos and the Kahoot quiz application, effectively enhances conceptual understanding of fiqh, encourages active participation, and creates a more engaging learning environment. Students showed increased interest, greater involvement, and improved ability in religious practice. This approach also supported teachers in delivering material in a more structured and engaging manner. These results suggest that integrating technology into religious learning can serve as an innovative and effective alternative in Islamic educational settings, particularly in tahfidz schools.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between emotional regulation and teacher work motivation. This research was conducted at Putra Anda Binjai Vocational School. This research method uses non-test techniques, namely in the form of questionnaires. The sample for this research consisted of 80 teachers. The sampling technique was carried out by total sampling. The research results show that the r count is 0.803, with a p value = 0.000. Because p < 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05), Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, so it can be interpreted that there is a positive and significant relationship between emotional regulation and teacher work motivation. The resulting determinant coefficient is r2 = 0.845, so it can be seen that emotional regulation has an influence of 84.5% on teacher work motivation and another 35.5% is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

Desa Bukit Lawang, Kecamatan Bahorok, merupakan destinasi ekowisata unggulan yang memiliki potensi alam, budaya, dan konservasi orangutan, namun promosi pariwisata belum optimal karena keterbatasan kapasitas digital masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan keterampilan masyarakat dalam mengelola media sosial guna mendukung pariwisata berkelanjutan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan model Participatory Action Research (PAR) yang melibatkan 50 peserta dari Pokdarwis, pelaku usaha wisata, pemuda, dan perangkat desa yang dipilih secara purposive. Kegiatan meliputi identifikasi masalah, pelatihan pengelolaan media sosial, pendampingan pembuatan konten, serta evaluasi melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil menunjukkan media sosial berperan strategis dalam memperluas promosi, meningkatkan interaksi dengan wisatawan, dan memperkuat branding desa. Tantangan utama adalah keterbatasan keterampilan teknis, kurangnya konsistensi unggahan, dan minimnya pemahaman etika digital. Strategi optimal berupa kombinasi pelatihan, pendampingan, dan kolaborasi komunitas yang terbukti meningkatkan keterampilan sekaligus partisipasi masyarakat. Novelty penelitian ini terletak pada integrasi konsep pariwisata berkelanjutan dengan strategi promosi digital berbasis komunitas, sehingga masyarakat berperan aktif sebagai subjek dalam pengelolaan identitas digital destinasi. Model ini dapat direplikasi di desa wisata lain sebagai praktik pemberdayaan digital untuk mendukung pariwisata berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive study that aims to reveal the phenomenon of anxiety faced by STAI Syekh H. Abdul Halim Hasan Al-Ishlahiyah Binjai lecturers in speaking English, especially in teaching and learning activities in bilingual classes. Total from ten lecturers filled out The Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale (FLCAS) questionnaire adapted and modified from Horwitz, Horwitz, and Cope (1986), and Sari (2017) used to obtain valid data about what anxiety factors dominate and influence lecturers are reluctant to use English in teaching in bilingual classes. The data shows that communication apprehension factors dominantly and most influences the anxiety faced by the lecturers in speaking English with an average percentage of 56%. In second place is occupied by Fear of negative evaluation factors with average percentage of 53%, followed by test anxiety factors with 48%. Lecturers are expected to be able to regulate and limit the space for the factors that influence them to speak English so that the teaching and learning processes in bilingual classes are not disrupted.

Abstract

This research is based on mothers who participate in earning a living or career women, mothers who feel that formal education at school is more than enough, and mothers who do not understand the importance of the home as the main madrasah. This research uses library research with qualitative research. The steps taken in this research are theme/topic selection, information exploration, determining the focus of research, collecting data sources. Data sources are obtained from relevant literature such as books, scientific articles related to the theme. Data collection techniques by looking for data about things in the form of books, articles, and so on. The research instruments used included a checklist of classification of research materials based on the focus of the study, a writing map, and a research note format. The data analysis technique used by researchers is the content analysis method. The results of this study conclude that the role of mothers in educating children includes paying attention to breastfeeding patterns, parenting patterns, and the role of mothers in shaping children's character can be done through stages of coaching and guidance. Premarital coaching and guidance, prenatal coaching and guidance, and postnatal coaching and guidance.

Abstract

Many schools use School Based Management to manage and administer the education system. One that uses this is MAN Binjai. This management is carried out as a form of educational focus in schools in order to manage school needs in accordance with the environmental conditions of each school. MAN Binjai implements School Based Management in the management or operations of its schools. This research is a type of qualitative research using the case study method using observation, interview and documentary data collection techniques. The research was carried out using data validity tests which include reliability tests, transferability tests, durability tests and confirmatory tests. The research results show that the implementation of school management takes place through the application of school management principles. The principle of independence arises in giving schools the right to organize and manage the economy independently or without other parties. The principle of partnership occurs when a school collaborates with various parties to get support for its programs. The principle of participation is proven by the active participation of stakeholders in the decision-making and policy-making process. Based on the research results obtained, MAN Binjai implements School Based Management by applying 3 principles, namely the principle of independence, the principle of cooperation and the principle of parental participation.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the role of the madrasa head in improving the work ethic of teachers at MTs Al-Washliyah Tandam Hilir. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive research. Data collection uses observation, interviews and documentation studies methods. The results of this research show that the role of the madrasa head in improving the work ethic of teachers in teaching at MTs Al-Washliyah is by meeting the teacher's financial needs, then the madrasa head also gives rewards to teachers who are considered the most active in terms of attendance and discipline in carrying out their duties. Another thing that is done is providing training in curriculum development for subjects according to the field of study, in order to improve the professional quality of teachers, so that teachers can improve their work ethic in teaching. The obstacle faced is that there are still teachers who often arrive late and lack discipline in teaching. Then there are still some teachers who are not academically aligned with the subjects they teach. The solution offered as an improvement effort in overcoming the obstacles that occur is that the head of the madrasah provides punishment or administrative sanctions for teachers who are undisciplined and often come to school late. Discuss with the madrasa supervisors regarding policies for teachers who are not yet aligned with their academic fields.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi kompetensi pedagogik guru dalam peembelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam (SKI) di MTs Uswatun Hasanah Binjai. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Informan penelitian terdiri dari guru SKI dan siswa sebagai peserta focus group discussion (FGD). Analisis data dilakukan secara induktif melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru telah melaksanakan kompetensi pedagogik dengan baik melalui perencanaan pembelajaran yang terstruktur, pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang kondusif dan interaktif, serta evaluasi yang mencakup aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik. Faktor pendukung utama keberhasilan pembelajaran ialah lingkungan sekolah yang religius dan budaya kegiatan keagamaan rutin, sedangkan hambatan utama adalah keterbatasan fasilitas media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya peningkatan sarana pendidikan dan pelatihan berkelanjutan bagi guru agar kompetensi pedagogik dapat diterapkan secara maksimal dan relevan dengan perkembangan zaman.
