Abstract

Objective: To develop a teaching model that integrates the concepts of service quality testing and airport passenger satisfaction in the educational curriculum at the Aviation Polytechnic. The main focus of the research is to design a competency-based learning approach that covers not only theoretical aspects but also practical applications in the context of the aviation industry. In addition, this research also evaluates the effectiveness of the teaching model in improving students' understanding of airport service quality parameters. Method: used is Research and Development (R&D) with the stages of needs analysis, model design, expert validation, limited trial, and implementation. Data were collected through surveys, interviews with aviation industry stakeholders, as well as pretests and posttests on students to measure the increase in understanding. Data analysis was done quantitatively with descriptive statistics and paired sample t-test, as well as qualitatively through evaluation of learner and expert responses. Results: Showed that the developed teaching model significantly improved students' understanding of airport service quality dimensions such as tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. The effectiveness test of the model shows an increase in understanding scores after implementation. Novelty: Research lies in the integration between the academic curriculum and the real needs of the aviation industry, especially in terms of service quality measurement and passenger satisfaction. The developed model is also equipped with case studies based on actual data from the airport and interactive simulations, thus providing a more contextualised learning experience. This research is expected to be a reference for the development of aviation vocational education curriculum that is more adaptive to industry dynamics.

Abstract

This paper meets the on-going challenge of gaps in the training of Aircraft Basic Workshop Theory course as part of Indonesian aviation polytechnic that seeks to develop an organized competency-based teaching material and integrated RPS (Rencanna Pembelajaran Semester). By using both a Research and Development (R&D) structure borrowed on the 4D model-Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate and a qualitative (1W) section, the research will combine the validation of stakeholders with the query of the learners to evidence that the pedagogy is relevant and the implementation is possible within the institution. Primary data were collected using the analysis of the curriculum, the consultation of experts, and instrumentation based on the cadets, such as structured questionnaire and semi-structured interviews of Surabaya and Makassar Aviation Polytechnics. Define and Design phase findings showed severe shortage between the formal curriculum requirements and course delivery that involved lack of sequencing of learners; Matching words to learning outcomes and provision of instructional support materials. The created teaching unit and updated RPS has been directly targeting these shortcomings by providing a weekly structure of goals, procedures, and evaluations based on national standards of competencies. At the Disseminate step, the institutional review verified that the instructional tools were usable, adaptable and had systemic worth in various campuses. Above all, acute learner disenfranchisement was identified by the 1W component: cadets claimed that there was a significant level of confusion, the absence of instructional structure, and procedure uncertainty in workshop learning settings.

Abstract

To realize these goals, a lecturer/educator must have the skills to choose, use methods and carry out new innovations in creating an effective and efficient learning environment for students. R & D (Research & Development) research is research that is oriented to research, design, produce, test, the validity of the resulting product in the form of an interactive teaching module to improve understanding of the concept of electronic and digital engineering material with a development model developed by M. Alessi and Stanley R. Trollip, which consists of the stages of Planning , Design , and Development . Data collection techniques used in this study are questionnaires, tests, interviews and observations. Techniques analysis data for eligibility media use analysis data descriptive, where the analysis is carried out using the Score stages results evaluation questionnaire Which obtained from for expert (media And material), in the form of quantitative data that is changed into categories with a linkert scale. The results of the assessment two expert material to fourth aspect obtained average score 3.15 Which qualitatively categorized Very Worthy (X ≥ 3.0) and the results of the assessment by two media experts obtained a value of 3.28 the result in category very feasible (X ≥ 3.0)

Abstract

Salah satu  modifikasi  yang  dilakukan pada pesawat untuk digunakan pada perairan yang sering kali melibatkan pemasangan Float sebagai pengganti landing  gear konvensional adalah seaplane. Namun, pemasangan Float pada seaplane juga dapat mempengaruhi karakteristik aerodinamik pesawat, khususnya hambatan (drag) yang dialami selama penerbangan sehingga menjadi masalah terhadap performa kinerja seaplane. Dengan adanya permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini akan menganalisis hambatan air pada Cessna 172SP dengan Float tambahan menggunakan aplikasi Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) pada pesawat laut atau pesawat amfibi yang difokuskan untuk melihat bagaimana fluida (air dan udara) berinteraksi dengan permukaan pesawat yang mencakup analisis struktur hidrodinamika dan aerodinamika. Hasil analisis hambatan air pada Float pesawat Cessna 172 SP menunjukkan bahwa hambatan aerodinamik dan hambatan air berdampak pada kinerja pesawat terutama pada konsumsi bahan bakar, kecepatan terbang, dan kemampuan manuver.

Abstract

In the provision of air traffic services, ATC (Air Traffic Controller) officers are requiredto ensure safety and smoothness in accordance with the procedures for flight safety can beachieved. The case of Kelas I Khusus Sentani Jayapura Airport is the noise caused by theapron building which is quite close to the tower building and the propeller type plane thatpasses the bravo taxiway causing quite disturbing noise. The purpose of this research is toprovide optimal air traffic service related to controller comfort in providing flight trafficservice, using qualitative deskriktif method based on field observation and related documenton air transport service provision in order to create flight safety and security. The results ofthis paper indicate that noise can affect the convenience of the controller when providing airtraffic services in terms of safety and regularity of the flight. It is suggested to AIRNAV andKelas I Khusus Sentani Jayapura Airport managers should install carpet and rubber silencerin tower building to reduce noise.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas penelitian di institusi pendidikan tinggi melalui pelatihan analisis data statistik. Topik ini dipilih karena rendahnya pemahaman praktis dalam menerapkan metode statistik yang tepat dalam penelitian, yang mengakibatkan penelitian yang kurang mendalam dan kurangnya kontribusi signifikan terhadap ilmu pengetahuan. Metode pelatihan dilakukan secara daring melalui platform Zoom, dengan melibatkan 26 peserta dari berbagai latar belakang akademik. Materi pelatihan mencakup pengantar tentang pentingnya analisis data statistik dalam penelitian, pembahasan teknik analisis seperti uji hipotesis, analisis regresi, dan metode multivariat, serta penerapan praktis menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta dalam menerapkan analisis statistik yang tepat dalam riset mereka. Hasil ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas publikasi ilmiah dan kontribusi penelitian di Indonesia. Kegiatan ini penting untuk mendukung pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan inovasi di lembaga pendidikan tinggi, serta memperluas kolaborasi akademik di tingkat nasional.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi digital dosen dalam mendukung pembelajaran berbasis teknologi, sebuah kebutuhan mendesak dalam era Revolusi Industri 4.0 dan pascapandemi COVID-19. Pelatihan dilakukan secara daring dengan melibatkan 54 peserta dari berbagai kalangan. Metode yang digunakan mencakup pemaparan teori, simulasi praktis, dan diskusi kelompok. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, pelatihan ini berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman peserta terhadap teknologi pembelajaran digital, dengan 85% peserta menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan. Peserta juga diapresiasi atas penerapan teknologi ke dalam pembelajaran dalam dua minggu setelah pelatihan. Dengan hasil ini, kegiatan ini berkontribusi pada mendukung kebijakan Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) di Indonesia. Keberhasilan pelatihan menunjukkan pentingnya tindak lanjut untuk memastikan implementasi yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran aircraft maintenance procedure menggunakan timer sistem pencampuran cat pesawat berbasis mikrokontroler mega 2560 dimana sebuah perangkat yang digunakan dalam proses pencampuran cat untuk pesawat pada prodi Teknologi Pemeliharaan Pesawat Udara Politeknik Penerbangan Makassar dan menghasilkan timer pencampuran painting pesawat berbasis mikrokontroler Promini yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan Riset and Development (R&D) dengan model 4D. Model 4D adalah sebuah pendekatan penelitian yang mengacu pada empat dimensi, yaitu Define (Mendefinisikan) dimana peneliti menganalisis kebutuhan pentingnya dilakukannya pengembangan, Design (Merancang) peneliti melakukan perancangan media beserta perangkat-perangkat yang berkaitan dengan media, Develop (Mengembangkan) peneliti memastikan produk yang dikembangkan layak untuk dipergunakan atau di uji cobakan di lapangan yang didasarkan oleh penilaian para ahli, dan Deploy (Menerapkan) peneliti mengimplementasikan produk yang telah dirancang dan telah layak ke taruna untuk dapat memperoleh data kepraktisan dan keefektifan penggunaan media. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media yang dikembangkan pada aspek media dan materi berada pada kategori sangat valid untuk dipergunakan. Implementasi media trainer mendapat respon peserta didik yang berada pada kategori sangat praktis dalam penggunaanya dan hasil nilai tes taruna setelah implementasi mengalami peningkatan berada pada kategori tinggi. Kesimpulan data tersebut menyatakan bahwa media yang telah dikembangkan dinyatakan valid/layak untuk digunakan serta praktis dan efektif dalam penggunaanya.
