Abstract

Pancasila and citizenship education is one of the subjects that can grow the character of students. Pancasila and civic education teachers have an important role in educating students in the midst of the influence of this technological age. The problem that occurs is that Pancasila and civic education learning is not liked and in demand by students because the available material is quite boring, because teachers only apply the lecture method and the media used is still in the form of school package books. The researcher developed e-comic-based digital learning media  in Pancasila and civic education learning. The purpose of this study is to test the feasibility of media as a means to grow the character of students at Public Junior High School 3 Magetan. The type of research used is Research and Development (RnD) with the ADDIE (Analalys, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) research model. The data analysis technique used is quantitative to calculate the results of media feasibility from learning experts and the results of practicality of student responses. Qualitative data to analyze problems and analyze quantitative results. The result of this research and development is that the researcher succeeded in obtaining media feasibility from learning experts by 75% with the feasible category and obtaining media practicality by 75.35% with the very practical category. Thus, based on the results obtained, after reading the stories in the e-comic, students can cultivate the character of mutual cooperation and tolerance towards students.

Abstract

Citizenship law pertains to an individual’s membership within a political society. Acquiring citizenship involves the ability to claim rights and fulfill corresponding obligations. In parallel, the state also possesses rights and obligations toward its citizens. Globalization has significantly impacted the scope of Indonesian citizenship, resulting in certain rights and obligations not being fully accessible to citizens as mandated by the Constitution. The core issue addressed in this study is the analysis of students’ critical thinking skills through the application of project-based learning (PjBL) in the context of citizenship law. Students serve as the primary subjects of this research, as they are the central agents responsible for examining citizenship law, thereby enhancing their critical thinking abilities. The research aims to cultivate critical thinking in the process of designing legislative frameworks and reformulating Indonesian citizenship law. Critical thinking skills are essential for the development of citizenship law, as this legal domain addresses fundamental aspects of human identity and civil rights. Revisions to citizenship law can have widespread implications for individuals, society, and the state. The research employs both qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods. The findings indicate that project-based learning effectively fosters critical thinking in the context of designing and reformulating Indonesian citizenship law.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the cooperative learning model through the jigsaw method on critical thinking skills and increasing student achievement in Civics learning at SMAN 4 Madiun City. The data used is primary data in the form of lesson plans; tests of critical thinking skills and increased student achievement. The population of this study were all students of class XI.2 as a class with the jigsaw cooperative learning model and X1.4 as the ordinary learning mode class, which totaled 60 students. The sampling technique used random sampling technique. Data analysis technique using independent sample t test. Data is processed using IBM SPSS Statistics v.18. The results showed that the cooperative learning model through the jigsaw method had an effect on critical thinking skills in Civics learning at SMAN 4 Madiun City, and the cooperative learning model through the jigsaw method had an effect on increasing student achievement in Civics learning at SMAN 4 Madiun City.

Abstract

Technological advancements have transformed the learning landscape for students in schools. Unlike the past, where discussions were confined to the classroom, today's students engage in digital discussions through platforms like Zoom Meetings, Google Classroom, or school-provided eLearning. The impact of technology on students is twofold, presenting both positive and negative aspects. In an effort to enhance student learning and character development, researchers have created a non-text digital book on citizenship education. Utilizing Borg and Gall's research methodology, data collection involved questionnaires, focus group discussions, interviews, and observations. The research findings demonstrate the viability of digital non-text civics education books, indicating their applicability in junior high schools to bolster students' hard-working character. Significant differences in the aspect of hard work were observed between the experimental and control groups in various tests. In conclusion, digital books with the theme ”Rumi Sang Pemimpi” (in English: ”Rumi the Dreamer”) prove effective in strengthening students' character, particularly their hard-working traits. The researcher recommends further exploration of characters in the digital book related to digital citizenship.

Abstract

Sikap tenggang rasa ialah salah satu butir-butir dari pengamalan sila kedua. Sikap tenggang rasa harus menjadi suatu kebiasaan bagi kesadaran pribadi diri seseorang agar dalam berinteraksi sosial dengan orang lain tidak timbul perselisihan. Penggunaan media sosial WhatsApp mampu digunakan secara positif jika penggunanya juga menggunakan sarana komunikasi tersebut secara positif. Namun, jika penggunaan media sosial WhatsApp digunakan secara negatif maka penggunannya juga akan menimbulkan kepribadian yang buruk. Pentingnya penelitian ini dilakukan karena masih dijumpai siswa tidak menghargai teman dan menghormati gurunya, serta bersikap masa bodoh. Hal tersebut terlihat dari bagaimana siswa menerapkan rasa toleransi, peduli, dan pengendalian diri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis sikap tenggang rasa dalam menggunakan media sosial WhatsApp. Adapun metode penelitian menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di SMP Negeri 2 Geger, Kabupaten Madiun, Jawa Timur. Informan yang menjadi sumber penelitian ini terdiri dari guru dan siswa-siswi kelas 8 SMP Negeri 2 Geger tahun ajaran 2021/2022. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah komponen analisis data model Miles dan Huberman, dengan dilakukan secara interaktif melalui proses reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa siswa dikatakan memiliki sikap tenggang rasa dapat dinilai dari toleransi, peduli, dan pengendalian diri. Adapun proses mengimplementasikan sikap tenggang rasa. Kemudian, adanya kendala siswa dan guru dalam mengimplementasikan sikap tenggang rasa. Selain itu, penggunaan media sosial WhatsApp siswa yang aktif menimbulkan dampak negatif dan dampak positif terkait perilaku siswa.
