Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of anxiety experienced by pencak silat athletes of the Student Activity Unit (UKM) at Universitas Galuh when facing sparring competitions, as well as the strategies for overcoming it. Anxiety is a psychological condition commonly experienced by athletes before and during competitions, which can affect both their physical and mental performance. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation involving eight active pencak silat athletes.The results show that anxiety affects both physiological and psychological aspects of athletes, such as increased heart rate, sleep disturbances, difficulty concentrating, and decreased self-confidence and performance during matches. Anxiety triggers include pressure from the audience, opponents perceived as superior, expectations from coaches, and past competition experiences. Nevertheless, some athletes were able to manage their anxiety effectively through strategies such as focusing on the match, positive thinking, intensive training, social support, and building self-confidence. These findings are expected to serve as a foundation for coaches and UKM trainers in designing effective psychological approaches to reduce anxiety and improve athlete performance optimally.  ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak kecemasan yang dialami oleh atlet pencak silat Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa (UKM) Universitas Galuh saat menghadapi pertandingan kategori tanding, serta strategi penyelesaiannya. Kecemasan merupakan kondisi psikologis yang umum dialami atlet sebelum dan saat bertanding, yang dapat mempengaruhi performa fisik maupun mental mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi langsung, dan dokumentasi terhadap delapan atlet pencak silat yang aktif bertanding. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecemasan berdampak pada aspek fisiologis dan psikologis atlet, seperti detak jantung meningkat, gangguan tidur, kesulitan konsentrasi, serta menurunnya rasa percaya diri dan performa saat bertanding. Faktor pemicu kecemasan meliputi tekanan dari penonton, lawan yang dianggap lebih unggul, ekspektasi dari pelatih, dan pengalaman bertanding sebelumnya. Meski demikian, sebagian atlet mampu mengelola kecemasan dengan baik melalui strategi seperti fokus pada pertandingan, berpikir positif, latihan intensif, dukungan sosial, dan membangun kepercayaan diri. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar bagi pelatih dan pembina UKM dalam merancang pendekatan psikologis yang efektif untuk mengurangi kecemasan dan meningkatkan performa atlet secara optimal.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the effect of High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) training on improving the physical condition of badminton extracurricular students at SMPN 4 Ciamis Regency. The method used was an experiment with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research sample was 20 students taken from the badminton extracurricular population at SMPN 4 Ciamis Regency. Physical condition measurements were made using the multistage fitness test. The results of this study showed a significant effect of HIIT training on improving students' physical condition. Thus, HIIT training effectively improves physical condition in badminton extracurricular students at SMPN 4 Ciamis Regency.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) terhadap peningkatan kondisi fisik siswa ekstrakurikuler bulutangkis di SMPN 4 Kabupaten Ciamis. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 20 siswa yang diambil dari populasi ekstrakurikuler bulutangkis di SMPN 4 Kabupaten Ciamis. Pengukuran kondisi fisik dilakukan menggunakan tes multistage fitness test. Hadil dari penelitian ini terdapat pengaruh signifikan latihan HIIT terhadap peningkatan kondisi fisik siswa. Dengan demikian, latihan HIIT efektif meningkatkan kondisi fisik pada siswa ekstrakurikuler bulutangkis di SMPN 4 Kabupaten Ciamis.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of lunge jump training on improving leg muscle power in volleyball. The method used in this study is a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design, with the population consisting of all extracurricular volleyball students at SMPN 1 Banjaran Regency. The sample consisted of 22 students selected using total sampling technique. The instrument used to measure lower limb muscle power was the vertical jump test. Data were analyzed using the paired sample t-test statistical test. The analysis results showed that the calculated t-value was -13.913 with degrees of freedom (df) = 21 and a significance level (2-tailed) of 0.000. Since the significance level was less than 0.05, H₀ was rejected and Hₐ was accepted. This indicates that there is a significant effect of lunge jump training on the improvement of lower limb muscle power. Therefore, lunge jump training can be used as an effective training method to enhance lower limb muscle power, particularly in supporting the performance of volleyball athletes who require high explosive power during jumps such as serves, spikes, and blocks.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh dari vertiball slam dengan horizontal wood chop berpengaruh terhadap power lengan. Lokasi penelitian di MTS N 2 Kabupaten Tasikmalaya. Siswa yang tergabung dalam ekstrakurikuler bolavoli yang berjumlah 22 orang siswa putra. Instrument test yang digunakan adalah davies test. Analisis statistika menggunakan SPSS 26. Hasil penelitian adalah 1. Latihan vertiball slam memberikan pengaruh secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan power lengan. 2. Latihan horizontal wood chop memberikan pengaruh secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan power lengan. 3. Terdapat perbedaan secara signifikan antara latihan vertiball slam dengan horizontal wood chop terhadap peningkatan power lengan. Kesimpulan bahwa penelitian ini sama-sam berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan power lengan, namun yang terlihat lebih signifikan adalah variabel latihan vertiball slam. Rekomendasi untuk penelitian pada bagian kondisi fisik power lengan akan lebih baik vertiball slam. The purpose of this study aims to determine how much influence the vertiball slam with horizontal wood chop affects arm power. The location of the study was MTS N 2 Tasikmalaya Regency. Students who are members of the volleyball extracurricular totaling 22 male students. The test instrument used was the Davies test. Statistical analysis used SPSS 26. The results of the study are 1. Vertiball slam training has a significant effect on increasing arm power. 2. Horizontal wood chop training has a significant effect on increasing arm power. 3. There is a significant difference between vertiball slam training and horizontal wood chop training on increasing arm power. The conclusion is that this study has an effect on increasing arm power, but what seems more significant is the variable of vertiball slam training. Recommendations for research on the physical condition of arm power will be better vertiball slam.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui latihan bam bams dan pillow humpers peningkatan daya tahan otot pinggang. Lokasi penelitian di SMP Negeri 2 Langkap lancar Kabupaten Pangandaran yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler bolavoli. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pre eksperimental design. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 20 orang dengan menggunakan teknik total sampling (sampling jenuh). Instrument test yang digunakan yaitu trunk extensor endurance test. Hasilnya 1. Latihan  bam bams memberikan   pengaruh   secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan daya tahan otot pinggang. 2. Latihan pillow humpers memberikan pengaruh secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan daya tahan otot pinggang. 3. Terdapat perbedaan secara signifikan antara latihan bam bams dengan pillow humpers terhadap peningkatan daya tahan otot pinggang. Kesimpulan: latihan bam bams dan pillow humpers peningkatan daya tahan otot pinggang. Implikasi: Penelitian yang melibatkan siswa putri juga karena terlihat ketika melaksanakan penelitian di lapangan siswa putri pun cenderung memiliki rasa ketertarikan dan menggugah untuk mencoba melakukan gerakan pada ke-dua variabel serta instrument test.This study aims to determine whether bam bam and pillow humpers exercises increase the endurance of the waist muscles. The research location is SMP Negeri 2 Langkap Lancar, Pangandaran Regency, which participates in volleyball extracurricular activities. The research method used is pre-experimental design. The research sample consisted of 20 people using a total sampling technique (saturated sampling). The test instrument used was the trunk extensor endurance test. The results are 1. Bam bam exercises have a significant effect on increasing the endurance of the waist muscles. 2. Pillow humpers exercises have a significant effect on increasing the endurance of the waist muscles. 3. There is a significant difference between bam bam and pillow humpers exercises on increasing the endurance of the waist muscles. Conclusion: bam bam and pillow humpers exercises increase the endurance of the waist muscles. Implications: The study also involved female students because it was seen that when conducting research in the field, female students also tended to have a sense of interest and were inspired to try to do the movements on both variables and the test instrument.
