Abstract

The majority of developing nations' mining industries are linked to high waste rates, poor use of resources, and serious ecological and environmental issues. Finding effective ways to use recyclable and clean natural resources through scientific and technological innovation is a key goal for these nations. The goal of this study is to offer a thorough overview of the most significant developments in mineral resource research during the past few decades, along with recommendations for more research. Through the use of a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), this study methodology yields the key conclusion that, in order to minimize risk, stakeholders must appropriately manage mineral resources, which is a necessary basis for social and economic growth. Sustainability and the mining industry are linked by current research trends.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low awareness and compliance of micro and small business actors with halal certification obligations. The research aims to identify the causes or problems of low awareness and compliance with halal certification obligations; and find strategies to increase awareness and compliance with halal certification obligations. This research uses a Community Based Research (CBR) approach, where this approach places MSE actors with researchers and stakeholders in an equal and balanced position. The results of the study found that: first, the factors that influence the low awareness and compliance of Pulosari Village MSE actors with halal certification obligations are low knowledge of halal literacy and low understanding of the requirements and processes of halal certification; and 2) legal counseling strategies and direct assistance to Pulosari Village MSE actors have an effect on increasing awareness and compliance with halal certification obligations. Thus, halal product guarantee law and halal tourism regulations have begun to occupy their role as law in the midst of halal tourism development efforts in Bandung Regency.

Abstract

Cases of corruption that are increasingly rife in the procurement of goods and services have prompted the government to issue a new policy on the use of the e-procurement system. This system is considered capable of overcoming transparency problems so that it is expected to be able to overcome problems in the procurement of goods and services, so that by implementing this system it is necessary to conduct research on the effectiveness of the implementation of the e-procurement system. This research aimed to determine the effect of system and information quality on the successful use of e-procurement at the Universitas Terbuka, with ease of use as a mediating variable. 357 internal users of the e-procurement system made up the population, and 107 people were selected as a sample based on their strata. Additionally, Smart PLS (Partial Least Square) version 4 is the analytical technique employed. The research results show that there is a significant positive influence between system quality and the success of using e-procurement. Moreover, system and information quality had a positive and significant effect on the ease of use. Information quality did not affect the successful use of e-procurement, while system quality had a positive and significant effect through the ease-of-use mediation variable. Information quality also had a positive and significant effect on the successful use of the e-procurement system through the ease-of-use mediation variable.

Abstract

Investors and policymakers in Islamic financial markets are expected to comprehend variables impacting the performance of Standard and Poor (S and P)/Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) COMCEC 50 Islamic Stock Index. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the effects of S&P/OIC COMCEC 50 Islamic Stock Index on inflation, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) oil prices, United States Economic Policy Uncertainty (US EPU), and geopolitical risk (GPR). Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model is used in the quantitative monthly data analysis spanning 2019-2023. The analysis estimates the adjustment rate toward long-term equilibrium using Error Correction Term (ECT). Furthermore, the short and long term links between global variables and S&P/OIC COMCEC 50 Index are analyzed. The results show that Islamic stock index benefits greatly from WTI oil prices over the long and short terms. Even though inflation and US EPU have no direct effects on the index, GPR shows a strong positive influence over the periods. However, the considerable ECT coefficient points to a quick adjustment process toward long-term equilibrium after external shocks. The significance of oil prices and geopolitical dynamics as major drivers of changes in Islamic financial markets is supported even though US EPU and worldwide inflation have a less significant effect. Based on the description, this research aimed to offer strategic recommendations for Islamic financial markets’ external risk management. Future research should incorporate other macroeconomic factors such as exchange rates, Islamic interest rates, and fiscal stability to understand the durability of Islamic financial index.
