Abstract

This research develops a comic-based student worksheet to learn about feasibility, learning outcomes, and motivation of the student worksheet. The research was carried out using research and development (R&D) methods with the ADDIE development model. The implementation of this comic-based Student Worksheet uses a pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study were students of class VIII at MTsN 3 Banda Aceh. The samples in this study were 57 students in the class of Abu Bakar Ash Siddiq and Zaid bin Thabit who were selected by purposive sampling. Data collection using validation tests, written tests, and questionnaires. The results of the feasibility test showed that the Developed Student Worksheet was included in the feasible category with an average score of assessments by experts and natural science teachers of 91.25% and 99.03%. Analysis of learning outcomes data using the t-test, obtained tcount>ttable (4.42> 2.01) shows that there are differences in the value of student learning outcomes between the experimental and control classes where the value of the experimental class is higher than the control class. Results of analysis Motivation of students tcount>ttable (15,53> 2,01) also shows the use of comic-based worksheets can increase students' learning motivation so that it can be concluded that the use of comic-based worksheets is feasible, it can improve student learning outcomes and motivation

Abstract

Teaching materials that link the material with the surrounding life to foster an entrepreneurial spirit and creative thinking. One proof of its relevance is using plants as natural developers in making pancakes. The purpose of this study was to develop ethnoscience-based worksheets to determine the feasibility and creativity of students. The method used in this research is development research (R&D) using the ADDIE model. The population for this study was students of class XII IA Senior High School 2 Unggul Ali Hasjmy. The sample was selected purposively, namely 28 students. Data were collected using validation tests and creativity observation sheets. The results showed that the development of worksheets was very feasible to use with the percentage of 85.20 given by the validator. Validation of the creativity observation sheet states that 25 of the 26 items are feasible to use. Student creativity also increased with a percentage of the high category 89.00. Ethnoscience-based worksheets to increase student creativity are feasible to be used as teaching material.

Abstract

The research has been carried out to develop STEM based Student Worksheets to determine their effectiveness in increasing students' entrepreneurial innovation through the development of candied nutmeg products and the responses of teachers and students to Student Worksheet. The research was conducted using the research and development (R & D) method using the ADDIE model. The sample in this study were 34 students of class XI IPA 1, selected using random sampling technique. The research data were obtained from expert assessment sheets, Student Worksheet and questionnaires for teachers and students. The results of the STEM-based Student Worksheet feasibility test by the experts showed that the Student Worksheet eveloped was classified as very worthy, with an average percentage value of 94.17%. The percentage of Yes responses obtained from teachers and students was 100.00% and 92.06% in the very good category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the developed STEM based Student Worksheet can increase students' entrepreneurial innovation and can be used as an alternative teaching material in craft and entrepreneurship materials, and get positive responses from teachers and students.

Abstract

The success of students in dealing with the globalization era of scientific literacy needs to be supported by practising skills, one of the skills that must be mastered by students in the science process skills and scientific questioning skills. This study aims to determine the implementation of the question webs based learning model of learning to improve science process skills and scientific questioning skills in grade X students at SMAN 1 Darul Imarah using a quasi-experimental method with nonequivalent control group design. The samples were taken by purposive sampling technique which was then divided into experimental and control groups. The data were collected from pretest and posttest scores which were then tested based on N-gain values. The results showed that the score of science process skills and scientific questioning skills of experimental class students obtained higher mean scores than control class mean scores. Statistically, it can be seen that testing the results of tests using the t-test 4.507 for science process skills and 29.79 for scientific questioning skills with a significant difference. The conclusion of this study shows that the question web-based learning model improve science process skills and scientific questioning skills compared to conventional models.

Abstract

Students have different levels of knowledge that can affect learning outcomes. The implementation of learning models in the classroom can also affect student learning outcomes. This study aims to determine how the effect of the implementation of the Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) learning model on redox material in class X SMAN 1 Krueng Barona Jaya. This type of research is descriptive and the approach used is a qualitative approach. This study focuses on several aspects, namely learning outcomes, activities, and students' responses. The subjects in this study were students in class X-MIA1 SMAN 1 Krueng Barona Jaya. Data collection tools used were student activity observation sheets, evaluation questions, and student response questionnaires. Data were collected using these three tools and then the percentage of the results was seen. The results of the analysis of students' learning completeness were obtained that 80% of students had completed and 20% of students did not complete. The results of observations of students 'activities were seen to have developed from the first meeting, namely 92.11% to 93.75% at the second meeting, while the results of the students' responses were obtained an average percentage of 85.56%. This shows that the implementation of the AIR learning model received a positive response from students and can be used as an effective model to use in redox material.Keywords: Auditory intellectually repetition, Learning outcomes, Student activities

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian dengan judul pengaruh penerapan strategi scaffolding terhadap ketuntasan hasil belajar peserta didik SMA Negeri 4 Banda Aceh pada submateri tata nama senyawa hidrokarbon. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitan eksperimen. Subjek penelitian yaitu kelas XI IPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol dan XI IPA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah peserta didik sebanyak 30 dan 31 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu tes dan observasi. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu berupa soal tes (tes awal dan ulangan harian) serta lembar observasi sikap. Data yang diperoleh diolah dengan menggunakan uji-t untuk membuktikan hipotesis serta rumus persentase. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis hasil yang diperoleh yaitu Ho diterima karena hasil thitung< ttabel yaitu 1,853 < 2,0409. Hasil penelitian menunjukan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas eksperimen sedikit lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol dengan persentase sebesar 73 > 69,66%. Penilaian sikap secara klasikal diolah dengan menggunakan rumus persentase dengan hasil rata-rata sebesar 74,8% pada kelas eksperimen dan 73,16% pada kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh penerapan strategi scaffolding terhadap ketuntasan hasil belajar peserta didik pada submateri tata nama senyawa hidrokarbon.

Abstract

The use of teaching materials that support higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) on thermochemical materials still needs to be improved, which makes students' critical thinking skills (CBC) low. The goal of this study is to find out if HOTS-based chemistry learning modules on thermochemical materials and improving CBC are possible and what students think of them when they are used. This study is a type of development research called "ADDIE" research. Three experts on materials, three experts on the media, and three teachers took part in this study. As the control group, 35 people were used, and as the experimental group, 36 people were used. In this study, both non-test and test methods were used to collect data. The non-test method was done with the help of a product validity questionnaire sheet, which was a research tool. On the other hand, the instrument test looked at how well students could think critically. Descriptive qualitative analysis, quantitative statistics, and inferential statistics are used to look at the data (t-test). The average CBC of students was different before and after they used HOTS-based chemistry modules to study thermochemistry materials. The results show that using HOTS-based chemistry modules to improve students' CBC is better than using standard modules. It was decided that chemistry modules based on HOTS could help students learn how to think more critically.

Abstract

An innovation in media technology that can be used in the field of education is Kahoot. Kahoot is an online application in the form of a platform. Kahoot app as a learning technology platform can combine the implementation of interactive quizzes. The problems that exist in SMA Negeri 3 Banda Aceh for students in learning chemistry are about understanding concepts that are still lacking. For this reason, it is necessary to conduct research on "Development of Pisa-Based Buffer Solution Material Problems and Its Application Using the Kahoot Platform". The purpose of this study is developing an interactive quiz media based on Kahoot educational games on buffer solution, to describe teacher responses to the use of interactive quiz media based on Kahoot, and to describe students responses to the use of interactive quiz media based on Kahoot. This study uses a quantitative approach with the type of Research and Development (R&D) research using the ADDIE model. The result of the research is that the feasibility of interactive quiz media based on the educational game Kahoot on the material of the buffer solution carried out by the lecturer of the Department of Chemistry Education still needs a feasibility test through one stage of improvement. The teacher's response to the four indicators received a positive response. Students' responses to the use of the quiz media also received positive responses from students, besides that it also increased student learning outcomes and did not cause students to feel monotonous

Abstract

This study aims at analyzing macronutrients of organic fertilizer from the mixture of Casuarina equisetifolia leaf litter and Ananas comosus rind waste with effective microorganism bioactivator. Research on making and analyzing the nutrient content of organic fertilizers has been carried out using a mixture Casuarina equisetifolia leaf litter and Ananas comosus rind waste which consists of three variations of the composition with two repetitions. The process of making compost is conducted by mixing small pieces of pineapple litter and rind and mixed with effective microorganism (EM4) in a container. The composting process occurs for a maximum of 31 days based on the temperature measurement of the fertilizer. In the degree of acidity test using digital pH meter, it shows that the pH level is classified as acidic, the pH variations of the fertilizer P0U1, P0U2, P1U1, P1U2, P2U1, and P2U2 are 5.029 respectively; 5,026; 4,934; 4,047; 5,452; and 4,551. The results of the analysis of the elemental nitrogen content (%) of various fertilizers P0U1, P0U2, P1U1, P1U2, P2U1, and P2U2 were 0.27; 0.38; 0.39; 0.41; 0.36; and 0.39. The results of the C-organic element analysis (%) were 25.87; 29.12; 35.58; 30.77; and 29.66. The phosphorus content (%) obtained was 0.147; 0.137; 0.138; 0.136; 0.139; and 0.142. Potassium content (%) of 0.32; 0.25; 0.56; 0.78; 1.23; and 1.79. The C / N ratio of each fertilizer variation was sequential, namely 95.81; 76.63; 83.23; 86.78; 85.47; and 76.05. The analysis parameters for C, P, and K show conformity with the National standard provisions.

Abstract

Based on the Curriculum 2013, science learning in junior high schools is provided in an integrated way. However, the quality of science learning in fact is not encouraging. This is evidenced by science learning achievement in Indonesia is categorized as still low based on National Examination. The recent studies found that teachers conducted integrated science matter separately. This approach requires the ability of teachers, whereas not all science teachers in SMP/MTs are prepared from science education. This research was conducted in Banda Aceh. The research objective is to identify the teacher's perspective regarding integrated science based on teacher knowledge. This research uses descriptive qualitative research with questionnaire and semi-structured interviews. Data collection was carried out by proportional stratified random sampling. Respondents in questionnaire filling were 105 science teachers and in the interview were 21 people. The data analysis techniques are data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that based on the teacher's perspective on integrated science, there is a high awareness of creating an effective teaching and learning environment for students regardless of the out of scientific field that is not linear according to sarjana pendidikan IPA. Subject matter of teachers is relevant to understand the concepts in integrated science which are interconnected with each other which continues to be strengthened for professional development. In addition, integrated science teachers have the ability to explore their beliefs with actual practice when teaching and it means that the theoretical knowledge possessed by teachers can be applied
