Abstract

This research examines the implementation of the Reading Corner program as part of the School Literacy Movement to improve students' reading abilities. Reading literacy activity index data on a national scale, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province occupies 31st position out of 34 provinces in Indonesia. These results are answered by the phenomenon in the field, there are still elementary school students who are not yet fluent in reading. The aim of this research is to determine the implementation of reading corners to improve elementary school students' reading literacy SDK Mabhambawa kecamatan keotengah,kabupaten Nagekeo. Qualitative research uses observation, interviews, documentation. Data were analyzed descriptively. The research results show that the Reading Corner plays a positive role in increasing students' access to reading materials and creating an environment that supports literacy culture. However, several obstacles were also found, such as limited book collections and a lack of active participation from all school members. This research provides recommendations for developing a more effective Reading Corner program in supporting the improvement of students' reading abilities. The results of the study on the implementation of the reading corner showed that 73% of students read fluently,27% had difficulty. The implementation of the reading corner is successful but needs optimization.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the social emotional development activities of children aged 4-6 years at TKN Nazaret Were. This research was conducted at TKN Nazaret Were, Golewa District, Ngada Regency which was carried out within one month. The subjects in this study were 3 class teachers, 10 children and 10 parents of students. The results showed that the development of the child's social-emotional aspects did not develop according to the child's age level. This is caused by parenting patterns that are not in accordance with the needs of children, the level of health and nutrition of children who have not been fulfilled and learning methods that tend to be passive. Therefore a good understanding is needed in applying parenting patterns and applying learning methods. Various learning methods that can stimulate children's social emotional growth are exemplary, conversing, and telling stories. In applying the method, learning media should be used that support the method so that the goals of child development can be achieved optimally.   ABSTRAK  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis aktivitas perkembangan sosial emosional anak usia 4-6 tahun di TKN Nazaret Were. Penelitian ini dilakukan di TKN Nazaret Were Kecamatan Golewa Kabupaten Ngada yang dilaksanakan dalam waktu satu bulan. Adapun subyek dalam penelitian ini yaitu guru kelas sebanyak 3 orang, 10 orang anak serta 10 orangtua peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perkembangan aspek sosial emosional anak tidak berkembang sesuai dengan tingkat usia anak. Hal ini disebapkan oleh pola pengasuhan yang tidak sesuai dengan kebutuhan anak, tingkat Kesehatan serta gizi anak yang belum tercukupi serta metode pembelajaran yang cendrung pasif. Oleh sebab itu diperlukan pemahaman yang baik dalam menerapkan pola pengasuhan serta penerapan metode pembelajaran. Berbagai metode pembelajaran yang dapat merangsang pertumbuhan social emosional anak yaitu keteladanan, bercakap-cakap, dan bercerita. Pada penerapan metode sebaiknya digunakan media pembelajaran yang menunjang metode tersebut sehingga tujuan perkembangan anak dapat dicapai secra optimal.

Abstract

Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan peserta didik kelas VI SDK Joge dalam menggunakan Microsoft word. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan dasar penggunaan Microsoft word dilakukan dengan menggunakan tiga tahap yakni tahap perencanaan, tahap pelaksanaan dan tahap evaluasi. Peserta kegiatan pelatihan dasar penggunaan Microsoft word adalah peserta didik kelas VI SDK Joge yang berjumlah 16 orang. Berdasarkan instrument penilaian pelatihan dapat dikatakan bahwa dengan adanya pelatihan penggunaan Microsoft word peserta didik mulai adanya peningkatan dalam mengelolah Microsoft word. Penilaian dilakukan berdasarkan keberhasilan peserta didik dalam menyerap materi serta menyelesaikan 4 tes seperti pada tabel. Kegiatan tes tersebut dapat terpenuhi karena tingginya pemahaman siswa mengenai penggunaan Microsoft word seperti menu dan fitur Microsoft word, pengaturan toolbar, pembuatan tabel, dan menyimpan file di Microsoft word. Dengan adanya pelatihan ini diharapkan siswa dapat mengasah kemampuan dalam menggunakan Microsoft Office Word sebagai bahan dasar persiapan menuju ke jenjang pendidikan selanjutnya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menanamkan karakter disiplin siswa di SDK Joge. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dilakukan melalui pendampingan kepada siswa di SDK Joge melalui pelatihan kepada siswa mengenai kegiatan peraturan baris berbaris. Subjek pendampingan pelatihan ini adalah siswa kelas 3-6 di SDK Joge. Kegiatan dilaksanakan setiap  2 minggu sekali dalam 3 bulan dari bulan September- November 2023. Kegiatan pelatihan ini dilaksanakan setiap hari jumat pada pukul 15.00 WITA. Bentuk kegiatan yang dilakukan pada pelaksanaan pendampingan ini antara lain: 1) Observasi 2) Wawancara 3) Melakukan pendampingan dengan jadwal pendampingan yang telah dibuat dan 4) Dokumentasi). Hasil pendampingan ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pendampingan pelatihan baris berbaris dapat menanamkan karakter siswa di SDK Joge. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil observasi sebelum dilakukan pendampingan terdapat beberapa siswa yang tidak disiplin yaitu datang ke sekolah tidak tepat waktu, sering bolos pada saat jam sekolah dan tidak memakai seragam sesuai peraturan sekolah. Setelah dilakukan pendampingan kegiatan baris berbaris terdapat dampak yang baik dalam menanamkan karakter disiplin bagi siswa di SDK Joge. Dari kegiatan tersebut, maka dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa dengan adanya pendampingan kegiatan baris berbaris dapat menanamkan karakter disiplin siswa di SDK Joge.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi membaca melalui pendampingan gerakan untuk meningkatkan minat baca pada siswa kelas V di SDK  Nuabosi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDK Nuabosi Kabupaten Ende Tahun 2024. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SDK Nuabosi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan menggunakan lembar observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis datanya menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan mengambil kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian, menunjukkan bahwa pojok baca berperan sangat penting untuk menumbuhkan dan meningkatkan kemampuan membaca siswa kelas V SDK Nuabosi. Dengan adanya pojok baca, peserta didik dapat memanfaatkan pojok baca sebagai fasilitas membaca dan juga sebagai tempat yang nyaman dan menarik untuk meningkatkan minat membaca. Pojok baca dikelola oleh guru dan juga siswa yang bertujuan untuk mengenalkan siswa pada sumber belajar yang menyenangkan. Pendampingan gerakan literasi sekolah meningkatkan minat bacapada siswa kelas V SDK Nuabosi sebagai bagian gerakan literasi sekolah (GLS) pembiasaan membaca 15 menit sebelum kegiatan belajar mengajar dan juga sebagai bahan referensi dan diskusi pada saat kegiatan pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendampingi program membaca 15 menit sebelum pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan literasi siswa sekolah dasar. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dilakukan melalui pendampingan kepada siswa terhadap kemampuan literasi siswa di SD Katolik Kekajodho. Subyek pendampingan kegiatan ini adalah siswa kelas VI yang berjumlah 20 orang. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama 4 bulan sejak 14 Agustus hingga 4 Desembers 2023. Teknik pengumpulan data untuk mengetahui perkembangan kemampuan literasi siswa berupa kegiatan observasi dan wawancara yang menunjukan rendahnya minat baca siswa yang mempengaruhi perkembangan kemampuan literasi mereka. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan pendampingan program membaca 15 menit sebelum pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan literasi siswa di sekolah tersebut. Setelah program ini dijalankan ditemukan adanya peningkatan minat baca siswa yang dapat dilihat dari jumlah buku yang dibaca siswa selama berjalannya program, partisipasi siswa dalam membaca berupa bertambahnya jumlah siswa yang mengikuti program ini serta peningkatan pemahaman bacaan yakni kemampuan siswa dalam menjawab soal secara tepat berdasarkan isi bacaan. Dari hasil pencapaian yang ditemukan, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa program membaca 15 menit sebelum pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan minat membaca siswa yang berdampak pada perkembangan literasi mereka yang cukup baik.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the utilization of letter card media in improving the reading skills of early grade students at Kekajodho Catholic Elementary School. This type of research is qualitative research. With the object of research is early grade students in class 1 totaling 15 people. With the methods used in this study, namely observation, interviews and documentation of student interest in reading, letter shape recognition, and combining letter sounds into words in supporting the improvement of reading skills of early grade students. The results showed that there was an increase in reading skills of early grade students where letter cards not only helped students recognize letters and combine sounds into words, but also created an interactive and fun learning atmosphere. Students were more engaged in learning, and they showed improved reading skills after the implementation of this method. This study provides important insights into the effectiveness of visual media in learning to read and its implications for teaching practices in the early grades. This study recommends the use of letter cards as learning media to improve students' reading skills, as well as the need for training for teachers in applying this method optimally.

Abstract

The reading corner is an effective facility located in the corner of the room in the library which is useful for providing access to all school members to read books. Creating a reading corner can also improve student literacy. So this research aims to increase student literacy at the UPTD SDI Mengeruda elementary school which is carried out through the creation of a reading corner. This type of research uses qualitative methods. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation methods. The subjects of this research were all school residents at UPTD SDI Mengeruda with a total of 139 students. Based on the results of observations made by researchers, the creation of a reading corner has not been implemented at the school. So this research is able to create new ideas for increasing student literacy by creating a reading corner in the library at UPTD SDI Mengeruda. The results of the research can be concluded that with a reading corner, students can use the reading corner as a comfortable and attractive place to increase students' interest in reading. There has been an increase in interest in reading in 95% of 139 children.

Abstract

This research was conducted based on the low culture of reading literacy and several grade 2 students who still have difficulties in reading. One of the school literacy movement programs that can be carried out is to increase students' interest in reading through programs. reading corner. The aim of this research is to determine the role of reading corners on students' interest in reading. The type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative, with research methods in the form of observation and literature study. The research subjects were students in class 2 of SDK MABHAMBAWA, the object of this research was the reading corner in clas 2 The research results show that reading corners play a very important role in growing and increasing students' interest in reading at school. Based on research, it can be concluded that with a reading corner, students can use the reading corner as the closest reading facility, as the closest reading material and also as a comfortable and interesting place to increase interest in reading.

Abstract

This research aims to improve students' reading skills through the use of letter cards at SDK Joge. This type of research uses a qualitative descriptive type with data collection methods in the form of observation, documentation interviews. The subjects in this research were all students at SDK Joge. The results of this research show that learning activities using letter cards for grade 2 students at SDK Joge have increased. This can be seen from the results of observations that there are several students who have difficulty reading. Reading difficulties in grade 2 students are caused by students who cannot yet distinguish letters of the alphabet, for example "F", "V". Apart from that, students are not yet able to read letters well and students are still unsure about pronouncing or pronouncing the letters designated by the teacher. Based on this problem, researchers used letter cards to improve students' reading skills at SDK Joge with assessment aspects in the form of arranging A-Z letter cards,recognizing and pronouncing or pronouncing letters correctly, arranging letter cards into words and spelling words. After carrying out learning activities using letter cards, there was an increase, namely from 16 students in class 2, initially there were 5 students who were able to read, now after learning using cards, there has been an increase to 14 students who can read well, and 2 students still need teacher assistance.
