Abstract

This research aims to describe the mathematical communication skills taught by the co-op-co-op cooperative learning model in terms of high, medium, and low learning interests better then conventional learning. This study uses a quantitative approach and an experimental method with a 2x3 factorial design. Data collection techniques in this study used a description test of mathematical communication skills and student learning interest questionnaires. The data in this study were tested using the t-test. From the result of the study were obtained: hypotheses 1 and 3 were obtained mathematical communication skills taught with co-op-co-op type cooperative learning models are beter than convetional learning. hypotheses 2 and 4 were obtained mathematical communication skills taught with co-op-co-op type cooperative learning models are nobetter than convetional learning. Hypotheses 5 there is an interaction between cooperative learning models of co-op-co-op type and conventional learning interest in influencing mathematical communication skills.

Abstract

Understanding of students' mathematical concepts is still relatively low, this is known from the results of the initial test which showed that none of the students had completed. This can be seen from the motivation of students in participating in mathematics learning, students are less motivated to learn mathematics, cheat friends, and do not work on problems seriously. This research uses a quantitative approach with correlation methods. Data collection techniques in this study were questionnaires and tests. The analytical technique used to test the hypothesis is Pearson product moment correlation. To test the significance using t-test. Based on the results of data analysis, it shows that Fcount > Ftable or 53.3452 > 2.796, then H0 is rejected, meaning that there is a significant influence between learning motivation on understanding mathematical concepts of eighth grade students of SMP N 21 Merangin in the 2021/2022 academic year. Learning motivation contributes to the understanding of mathematical concepts by 69.72% while the remaining 30.28% is influenced by other factors

Abstract

Mathematics learning still tends to be structuralistic and mechanistic. It resulted in students' difficulties and errors in understanding mathematical concepts and principles. Whereas mathematics is a human activity that is always in contact with their culture. One of the cultures that becomes the starting point for learning mathematics is a traditional house, such as the “Rumah Tuo”. The purpose of this study was to describe the mathematical activity at the Rumah Tuo. This type of research is a qualitative-research with an ethnographic approach. The research instrument used in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study are that there are mathematical activities carried out at Rumah Tuo, namely counting activities using Gantang Biheh, measuring activities in making poles in the form of a 16-sided prism, and designing traditional houses in such a way that they can be shaped like ancient means of transportation, namely ships. The conclusion of this research is that there are three mathematical activities through the “Rumah Tuo” culture, namely measuring, designing and calculating.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low student learning outcomes. One of the contributing factors is the lack of an applied learning model, the teacher has not been able to attract students to try to participate actively, so students do not have initiative both intellectually and emotionally. Learning outcomes of most students did not reach KKM 7.50. This study aims to determine the effect of the Open-Ended approach on student learning outcomes. This research is a quantitative research, with a type of experimental research. The population of this study is all eighth grade students at Sarolangun Middle School 8 in the 2013/2014 academic year. The sample is class VIIIA control class and class VIII C as the experimental class. first tested the question instrument, namely the validity test, difficulty index, different power test, reliability test ,. then the data were analyzed using normality and homogeneity tests on the variance of the two samples. The results of the study showed that the average value of the experimental class was 81.84 and the control class was 74.06. Then the data were analyzed using parametric statistical test, namely the t test can be tcount  = 10.76 then compared with ttable  at a significant level of 0.05 obtained by ttable 2.00. so 10.76> 2.00 then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. This means that there is a positive influence between the Open-Ended approach and the learning outcomes of class VIII SMP Negeri 8 Sarolangun Academic Year 2013/2014. The results of learning Mathematics using the Open-Ended approach are better than the mathematics learning outcomes using conventional learning models of class VIII SMP Negeri 8 Sarolangun Academic Year 2013/2014.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the correlation between learning motivation and mathematical concept comprehension. The method used in this research is quantitative with a correlational research design. The sample for this research consists of 51 randomly selected 8th-grade students from SMP Negeri 43 Merangin. Data collection was done by distributing a learning motivation questionnaire and a set of 4 essay questions to assess mathematical concept comprehension. Data analysis for this research includes descriptive statistical analysis and correlation analysis. The research results indicate that there is a correlation between learning motivation and mathematical concept comprehension among 8th-grade students at SMP Negeri 43 Merangin.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kenyataan yang ada yaitu hasil belajar menulis teks pidato dari 25 orang siswa kelas V SDN 60/VI Bangko masih belum tuntas, hanya 30% siswa yang mencapai KKM, pembelajaran di anggap tuntas jika 70% siswa mencapai KKM 75. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, dilakukan penerapan dengan metode latihan terbimbing untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas kelas V SDN 60/VI Bangko tahun pelajaran 2022/2023. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan November 2022. Siklus I tanggal 20 dan 23 November 2022, dan suklus II tanggal 27 November 2022. Objek penelitian ini adalah keterampilan siswa dalam menulis teks pidato. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas kelas V SDN 60/VI Bangko tahun pelajaran 2022/2023 dengan jumlah siswa 25 orang. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes tertulis dan observasi terhadap aktivitas siswa dan aktivitas guru selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa keterampilan menulis teks pidato siswa kelas kelas V SDN 60/VI Bangko tahun pelajaran 2022/2023 meningkat melalui penerapan metode latihan terbimbing. Peningkatan tersebut dapat dilihat dari perolehan nilai rata-rata 54,76% pada pretes, meningkat menjadi 68 % pada siklus I dan meningkat menjadi 86,2 % pada siklus II. Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa juga diikuti oleh prilaku siswa. Berdasarkan hasil observasi aktivitas siswa pada tindakan siklus I dan siklus II yaitu, meningkat dari rata-rata 49,6% pada pertemuan I pertemuan II meningkat menjadi 68% pada siklus I, dan meningkat menjadi 71,2% pada pertemuan I pertemuan II meningkat menjdi 86,2 % pada siklus II. Hasil aktivitas siswa mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I kesiklus II.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar berbasis STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) pada mata kuliah Pembelajaran IPA SD guna meningkatkan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam merancang pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa program studi PGSD pada salah satu perguruan tinggi di Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar berbasis STEM dinilai valid oleh ahli materi dan media serta efektif meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam merancang pembelajaran yang integratif dan kontekstual. Dengan bahan ajar ini, mahasiswa tidak hanya memahami konsep IPA, tetapi juga mampu mengintegrasikan aspek teknologi dan rekayasa dalam rancangan pembelajaran mereka.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPA kelas IV SD Negeri 139/III Lempur Mudik dengan menggunakan model Problem Based Learning (PBL). Berdasarkan observasi awal, motivasi belajar siswa rendah yang terlihat dari kurangnya ketekunan, minat belajar, serta keterlibatan dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang melibatkan 14 siswa sebagai subjek penelitian. Proses pembelajaran dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dengan beberapa tahapan: perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada motivasi belajar siswa, yang tercermin dari hasil angket dan observasi. Pada siklus pertama, rata-rata motivasi siswa mencapai 66,07%, dan meningkat hingga 82,85% pada siklus kedua dengan kategori tinggi. Model PBL terbukti mampu meningkatkan ketertarikan siswa, mendorong keterlibatan aktif, serta membangun sikap percaya diri dalam proses pembelajaran.
