Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effect of REACT strategy assisted by GeoGebra software on students' mathematical representation ability. This study was quasi-experimental with a quantitative approach. The design used in this study was The Nonequivalent Posttest Only Control Group Design. Four posttest questions were given to 25 students of Class VIII A and 25 students of Class VIII B at SMP Negeri Arun Lhokseumawe (public middle school). The data obtained from the posttest results were analyzed by data normality test and data homogeneity test, then hypotheses were tested using a t-test to see the effect of REACT strategy assisted by GeoGebra software on students' mathematical representation ability. The results of the data analysis of the posttest score tested using the t-test, the sig value was obtained. (2-tailed) of 0.000 > 0.05. This showed that there was a significant effect of using the REACT strategy assisted by GeoGebra software on students' mathematical representation ability.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the challenges management and associated with using the independent curriculum in PAI courses in state primary schools in Langkat, North Sumatra's Besitang District. The research focuses on the challenges teachers have when utilizing the autonomous curricular platform to teach and the obstacles they have while assessing PAI learning in their individual classrooms. Utilizing a multisite study method and a qualitative methodology, this research is conducted at SDN 050780 Besitang, SDN 050771 Halaban Blok, and SDN 056646 Sisirah Halaban. The study was conducted in January through March of 2024. Principals of the three state elementary schools as well as PAI teachers served as research informants. Methods such as observation, interviews, and documentation studies were used to gather data. According to the research's findings, teachers in the three elementary schools are having difficulty implementing the independent curriculum because of a lack of study space, poor learning resources and facilities in the school library, and shaky internet networks. Second, instructors' inability to be creative in their creation of digital learning materials and the surrounding environment, as well as their inability to integrate subjects into theme learning, is a challenge faced by them when implementing the autonomous curriculum. Third, challenges with assessing learning, such as modifying behavior (guiding the Pancasila student profile) and enhancing learning results for students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate how well supervision works at SMKN 4 Tebing Tinggi to improve teacher discipline during the PAI learning process. At SMKN 4 Tebing Tinggi, this kind of research employs a case study methodology along with a qualitative approach. The period of this investigation was December 2023–March 2024. instructors that teach PAI, guidance and counseling instructors, homeroom teachers, deputy principals for student affairs, members of the local community, and school principals served as research informants. Methods such as observation, interviews, and documentation studies were used to gather data. The study's findings indicate that, in order for teachers to assess their own work discipline, there is a clear impact of the interpreter modis program (teacher journals for monitoring and discipline). First, teachers' discipline is well-organized. Second, the instructor sets a clear example (exemplary) of discipline, such as being punctual and dressing nicely, so that pupils can successfully emulate it. Because teachers serve as role models for kids in the classroom, the "Juru Modis" program is successful in fostering teacher independence and helping them understand the value of discipline.

Abstract

There are many children in society who are educated by single parents. Likewise, several children at RA Tarbiyah Isamiyah Al-Musthafawiyah. His parents experienced several obstacles in raising their children, because they had to work to earn a living while simultaneously educating and raising their children. This causes obstacles for single parents in developing their children's character, especially regarding independence. The aim of this research is to describe the role of single parents in developing independence in early childhood. The research sample was determined using a purposive sampling technique with the criteria being single parents who had children aged 4-6 years. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The collection techniques used were interviews and observation. The research results show that the role of single parents in developing children's independence is very large by being a motivator, facilitator and role model for children who also wake up early. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that parents play a very important role in training their children to be independent by habituating and controlling their children's daily activities. This research can provide an understanding to parents of the importance of the role of education and motivation in children through small things in the home environment such as giving examples of getting up early, making beds, then bathing. So that children grow to be more independent.

Abstract

Term moderasi beragama lebih banyak berkutat pada kalangan intelek. Buku yang mengangkat term moderasi beragama untuk anak usia dini masih minim sekali. Terdapat kendala dalam menjelaskan term moderasi beragama dalam mata pelajaran bagi anak usia dini, terlebih lagi anak usia dini masih pada tahap awal mengenal agama. Hal seperti itu mudah sekali di terima oleh anak yang kurang memiliki karakter kebangsaan dan moderasi beragama yang kuat. Pendidikan karakter sangat penting, terlebih pada anak usia dini. Jika mereka tumbuh pada dalam lingkungan yang harmonis, toleran, damai, maka mereka akan mengembangkan perilaku dan pikiran dengan sehat dan bijaksana. Pimpinan Daerah Aisyiyah Kota Medan merupakan salahsatu Ortom Persyarikatan Muhammdiyah melalui Majelis Pendidikan Dasar dan Menengah yang merupakan mitra dalam kegiatan PKPM ini, memiliki peran penting dan strategis dalam mempersiapkan generasi yang berkarakter, yang tentunya yang berorientasi pada nilai-nilai ajaran Islam Wasathiyah. Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk (1) memberikan pengetahuan dan solusi pengelolaan sampah rumah tangga anorganik dengan mudah dan tidak mencemari lingkungan, serta (2) memberikan pelatihan secara langsung proses pengelolaan sampah anorganik dengan menggunakan teknik ecobricks. Kegiatan ini dilakukan berdasarkan hasil observasi bahwa masyarakat masih banyak yang mencemari lingkungan dengan membakar sampah rumah tangga berupa sampah anorganik. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah, tanya jawab, demonstrasi dan latihan. kegiatan sosialisasi dan pelatihan ini dilakukan selama 3 hari dan mampu memberikan motivasi serta keterampilan kepada masyarakat kelurahan Kantalai kecamatan Lea-lea kota Baubau untuk membuat ecobricks. Hasil selama kegiatan tersebut adalah terbentuk 6 ecobriks yang dijadikan 1 buah kursi taman dan di pasang pada halaman salah satu rumah warga. Hal tersebut sebagai contoh nyata bahwa sampah rumah tangga yang telah dijadikan ecobricks dapat berdaya guna dan bermanfaat. Saran setelah kegiatan ini berlangsung adalah diharapkan adanya kebijakan dari pihak kelurahan untuk menjadikan kegiatan ini sebagai program unggulan, sehingga dapat dijadikan percontohan sebagai kelurahan yang mampu mengelola sampah rumah tangga dengan baik dan ramah lingkungan. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini sangat penting sebagai dasar pengetahuan, tambahan keterampilan dan contoh nyata kepada masyarakat Kantalai dalam usaha untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang bersih, sehat dan inovatif melalui ecobriks.

Abstract

The specific objective of this research is to develop a storytelling model using the chain story technique for early childhood. The research method used is document analysis, observation, and interviews. The results showed that the implementation of the storytelling method carried out by the ABA Aisyiyah Kindergarten teachers in Medan City was classified as good (it was listed in the RPPH), and had met the standards and criteria for implementing the storytelling method in early childhood. However, it is still teacher-centered. The storytelling development model using the Chain Story technique is packaged so that storytelling is not carried out solely by the teacher, but is carried out by students (student-centered). The teacher is only a trigger for stories with a short duration. While students tell stories freely, using their way and style. The teacher only supervises and controls the course of the stories carried out by the students so that they remain by the themes and learning objectives set in the RPPH while assessing when the students are telling stories.

Abstract

This research aims: 1) Find out the contents of the Religious Education Courses in the PAI FAI UMSU Study Program, 2) Know the Contents of the Al-Islam Subjects at Muhammadiyah Middle Schools in Medan City, and 3) Describe the relevance of the Contents of the Religious Education Courses in the PAI UMSU Study Program to the content needs Al-Islam Subjects for Muhammadiyah Middle Schools in Medan City. This type of research is qualitative, using interview methods, content analysis, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The results of the research show that: 1) The contents of the Religious Education Courses in the PAI UMSU Study Program consist of the Al-Quran as a guide to life and relevant matters regarding the Al-Quran, Human Nature, Aqidah, Tauhid, Pillars of Faith, Things that Damage Faith, and Modern Shirk. 2) The content of Al-Islam subjects at Muhammadiyah Middle Schools in Medan City varies greatly. Because the books that are the source of learning differ from one school to another. 3) The relevance of the content of Islamic Education Study Program religious education courses to the content of Al-Islam subjects at Muhammadiyah Middle Schools in Medan is on average 65.5%. However, the deficiency in the content of the al-Islam subject in question can be supplemented by other courses that are taught to students at the PAI UMSU Study Program, including the courses Tahsin Al-Quran, History of Islamic Civilization, Insya' Muhadatsah, Tarbawi Tafsir and Hadith, Ushul Fiqh, and Contemporary Fiqh.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out and describe the content of the Kemuhammadiyahan lesson plan used in the Islamic Religious Education Study Program FAI UMSU. This type of research is analytic qualitative research. Data collection was carried out using document content analysis techniques and interviews. Data analysis uses an interactive analysis model that is carried out interactively and takes place. Continuously. Data research steps are carried out by data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The research results obtained were: 1) The contents of the lesson plans for the Kemuhammadiyahan course in the UMSU PAI Study Program were not tailored to the needs of graduates. All Basic Competencies that are formulated do not use operational verbs (OV). The methods listed in the Semester Lesson Plan (RPS) are still classical. The formulation of learning outcomes is at levels C1 and C2 with the LOTS category. 2) The contents of the syllabus for the Kemuhammadiyahan course in the PAI Study Program have not been developed according to the needs by adding several subjects from the Kemuhammadiyahan curriculum at the high school level. RPS development is carried out by formulating Basic Competency using operational verbs. The methods included must be able to trigger critical thinking, and reasoning skills, and be student-centered. The formulation of learning outcomes must be at the C3-C6 (HOTS) level.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi pemberantasan buta huruf Al-Quran dan penanaman nilai-nilai keislaman di Lapas Kesambi Cirebon dan menjelaskan berbagai kendala serta solusi yang dihadapi oleh pengelola dan warga binaan. Penelitian dilakukan di Lapas Kesambi Cirebon. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Adapun cara menentukan informan digunakan teknik purposive dan key respondence sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian, dengan informan kuncinya adalah peneliti sendiri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa banyak strategi yang dilakukan pihak lapas, diantaranya 1) mengelompokkan peserta sesuai tingkat kemampuan membaca al-Quran, 2) menggunakan metode Iqra’ dan Tsaqifah, 3) Menggunakan buku rangkuman hukum tajwid Al-Qur'an dan Matan al-jazariyah sebagai sumber belajar. 4) Merekrut tenaga pengajar dari warga binaaan yang telah mahir membaca al-Quran dan mendatangkan guru dari luar lapas dengan cara melakukan kerjasama 5). Strategi yang dilakukan untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai keislaman, yaitu mengadakan 1) kegiatan kajian keislaman untuk warga binaan Muslim, rutin setiap pekan, 2) Kajian keislaman dasar khusus bagi warga binaan yang baru masuk lapas, 2 kali sepekan, 3) Kajian tanyab jawab seputar keislaman bagi warga binaan yang terdaftar sebagai santri tetap setiap pekan, 4) Zikir bersama dan perenungan setiap pekan, 5) Sholawatan bersama setiap hari setelah sholat ashar, dan 6) Menghidupkan syi'ar-syi'ar keislaman di hari-hari besar Islam. Banyak kendala yang dihadapi lapas dalam melaksanakan kegiatan ini diantaranya: semangat belajar warga binaan yang tidak stabil, tenaga pengajar yang terbatas, usia warga binaan yang tidak muda, dan lain lain. Solusi yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut adalah memberi motivasi dengan beragam cara. Kata Kunci: Pemberantasan Buta Huruf Al-Quran, Penanaman nilai-nilai Keislaman, Lapas Kesambi. Abstract This research aims to describe strategies for eradicating Koran illiteracy and instilling Islamic values ​​in Kesambi Cirebon Prison and explaining the various obstacles and solutions faced by managers and inmates. The research was conducted at Kesambi Cirebon Prison. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection using observation, interviews and documentation studies. The way to determine informants uses purposive and key respondent techniques in accordance with the research objectives, with the key informant being the researcher himself. The results of the research show that there are many strategies carried out by the prison, including 1) grouping participants according to their level of ability to read the Koran, 2) using the Iqra' and Tsaqifah methods, 3) Using books summarizing the law of recitation of the Al-Qur'an and Matan al-jazariyah as a learning resource. 4) Recruit teaching staff from inmates who are already proficient in reading the Koran and bring in teachers from outside the prison by collaborating 5). The strategy used to instill Islamic values, namely holding 1) Islamic study activities for Muslim inmates, routinely every week, 2) Basic Islamic studies specifically for inmates who have just entered prison, 2 times a week, 3) Question and answer studies regarding Islamic teachings for inmates who are registered as permanent students every week, 4) Dhikr together and reflection every week, 5) Prayers together every day after the Asr prayer, and 6) Encouraging Islamic syi'ar on major Islamic holidays. There are many obstacles faced by prisons in carrying out this activity, including: unstable enthusiasm for learning among inmates, limited teaching staff, the age of inmates who are not young, and so on. The solution to overcome these obstacles is to provide motivation in various ways. Keywords: Eradicating Al-Quran illiteracy, instilling Islamic values, Kesambi Prison.
