Abstract

Indeks massa tubuh (IMT) merupakan alat ukur yang dilakukan untuk skrining obesitas dan risiko kesehatan yang ditimbulkannya. Semakin tinggi indeks massa tubuh, maka semakin tinggi risiko penyakit yang dapat dialami, salah satu penyakit yang timbul dari indeks massa tubuh tinggi atau obesitas ialah osteoartritis. Osteoartritis dapat terjadi diberbagai rentang usia, yang paling banyak terkena adalah kelompok lansia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara indeks massa tubuh dengan kejadian osteoartritis pada lansia di RSUD Pantura M.A sentot patrol. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain analitik cross sectional dan pengolahan data dilakukan dengan teknik analisis univariat. Hasil penelitian ini, dari 116 lansia yang mengalami osteoarthritis, mayoritas memiliki berat badan berlebih dengan 64 orang (55,2%). Namun, hasil uji chi-square menunjukkan nilai p = 0,933. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa IMT tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan kejadian osteoarthritis pada lansia di RSUD Pantura M.A Sentot Patrol.

Abstract

Body composition refers to the distribution of fat, muscle, bone, and other tissues in the human body, which is often expressed as a percentage of total body weight consisting of fat mass and lean body mass. Obesity, characterized by excess fat in adipose tissue, poses a significant health risk and is increasing in countries with low and medium mortality rates, especially in metropolitan areas. Factors contributing to this include genetics, a lack of physical activity, socioeconomic status, unhealthy eating patterns, psychosocial factors, smoking, and alcohol consumption. Excess body fat significantly contributes to morbidity and mortality. Although optimal body fat levels vary, excess fat increases the risk of health issues such as joint problems and cardiovascular disease. People widely use bioimpedance analysis (BIA), an efficient, non-invasive method, to assess nutritional status and body composition. This activity uses the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Action) method, which is carried out at PT. Narindo, North Jakarta, in the productive age population. The examination results showed that the average levels of total body fat, visceral fat, total subcutaneous fat, total muscle mass were 28.6%; 11%; 22.2%; 28.3%. Early detection of body composition is critical for assessing nutritional and health status as well as diagnosing disease, potentially reducing obesity-related morbidity and mortality.

Abstract

Kardiomegali merupakan tanda radiologis penting yang mencerminkan adanya perubahan struktural jantung akibat berbagai faktor risiko kardiovaskular. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang kesehatan jantung sekaligus melakukan skrining kardiomegali melalui pemeriksaan foto polos toraks. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Kota Bambu, Jakarta Barat, pada Juni 2025 dengan melibatkan 168 peserta dari berbagai kelompok usia. Peserta mendapatkan edukasi mengenai faktor risiko dan pencegahan penyakit jantung, dilanjutkan pemeriksaan radiologi dengan analisis rasio kardiotorakal (Cardio Thoracic Ratio/CTR). Hasil pemeriksaan menunjukkan mayoritas peserta memiliki gambaran toraks normal, sementara 2,4% di antaranya teridentifikasi mengalami kardiomegali. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa meskipun proporsi kelainan rendah, keberadaan kasus tetap perlu diperhatikan sebagai indikator awal risiko penyakit jantung. Edukasi interaktif dan skrining sederhana terbukti mampu meningkatkan kesadaran sekaligus memberikan manfaat nyata bagi masyarakat perkotaan. Kegiatan ini merekomendasikan pemantauan kesehatan jantung secara berkala, terutama pada individu dengan faktor risiko metabolik dan usia lanjut. Dengan demikian, program serupa dapat menjadi strategi preventif berkelanjutan untuk menekan beban penyakit kardiovaskular dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat.

Abstract

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an infectious disease that has caused pandemic effects on world demographics. It is caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV 2). COVID-19 can attack various organs, especially the lungs. The first time a COVID-19 case was discovered in Indonesia was announced on March 2, 2020. The number of casesspread rapidly in Indonesia. The objective of this study is to findout the comparison of CT scores and oxygen saturation of COVID-19 patients at UKI Hospital in East Jakarta. This study uses a cross-sectional design using medical records and data analysis using Mann– Whitney. Based on the result of the study, high CT-Score causes low Oxygen Saturation, Furthermore, there is a relationship between CT Score and oxygen saturation of COVID- 19 patients at UKI Hospital in East Jakarta with a p-value of 0.05.

Abstract

Visceral fat, associated with increased risks of chronic diseases like cardiovascular disease and diabetes, plays a crucial role in metabolic health. Its proximity to vital organs allows it to release harmful cytokines and hormones. While CT and MRI are the gold standard for assessing visceral fat, their cost and accessibility limits their use, highlighting the need for alternative methods. This study investigates the potential of simple laboratory variables such as hemoglobin and anthropometric measurements containing BMI, body height, and muscle mass as predictors of visceral fat. This study aims to identify practical, cost-effective tools for monitoring visceral fat, supporting disease prevention and management, particularly in limited resources settings. This study was conducted at St. Assisi Church with 32 respondents. Statistical analysis applies multiple linear regression to examine the relationship between anthropometric measurements, laboratory variables, and visceral fat. The multiple linear regression analysis identifies hemoglobin, body weight, body height, body fat, and arm total muscle as significant predictors of the dependent variable. Hemoglobin, body height, body fat, and arm total muscle show negative associations, while body weight positively predicts the outcome. These findings highlight the critical roles of these variables in influencing the dependent variable.
