Abstract

The Center for the Assessment and Development of Agricultural Technology (BBP2TP) is an institution in the field of the study and development of agricultural technology. BBP2TP already has a web-based application called Local Food Friendly (RAPAL). The purpose of this research is to develop the RAPAL application by adding features to accommodate and disseminate information related to training services as well as search features for a training product or service. The search feature is based on keywords, raw materials, city or district, and type of product. The method used in the development of this application is the prototype method, which consists of communication, a quick plan, quick plan modeling, prototype construction, deployment, and feedback. The result is that the catalog and search features in the RAPAL application can help provide easy access for users to search for information regarding local food products and training services.

Abstract

Dried bamboo leaves were chosen as a planting media for strengthen nutrients and improve soil drainage. Before being processed into fertilizer, the dried bamboo leaves will be chopped first. The problem that exists is that the chopping of dried bamboo leaves is still manually using a knife and scissors so it is quite time consuming and less effective. Making a dry bamboo leaf chopper with Arduino uno to chop dry bamboo leaves with a limit switch sensor so that it can rotate and stop the chopper blade automatically. The process of making this tool uses a method, namely, design to design hardware, software, and casing design, manufacture, namely the implementation of the design, and testing to carry out the testing phase of the tool so that the tool runs according to its purpose. The manufacture of this tool consists of hardware components which include Arduino uno, limit switch, DC motor, BTS7960 motor driver, step down LM2596, and power supply as well as software using Arduino IDE. The result of making a dry bamboo leaf chopper with Arduino uno is that it can chop dry bamboo leaves according to the purpose. This tool can chop up to 50 grams of dry bamboo leaves. Suggestions in making this tool are development by adding automation when the container is full and the tool automatically runs as well as increasing the duration of counting on the tool.

Abstract

Sugar is one of the staple foods most Indonesians use, so sugar production needs to be done optimally to meet people's needs. This research will design a prediction system for the amount of sugar production in PTPN XI PG Prajekan using the Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) method. ANFIS is a combined method of two systems, namely a fuzzy logic system and an artificial neural network system. This research consists of data collection, ANFIS system design, ANFIS training, ANFIS testing, accuracy calculation, and result analysis. The prediction system for the amount of sugar production is designed to predict the variable which is the amount of sugar production in the year using the input variables (sugarcane harvested area in year ), (amount of sugarcane in year ), (average of yield in year ), and (number of milling days in year ). The experiments in this research used variations of the type of membership function and the number of membership functions. The best model obtained in this research is a model with a difference between two sigmoidal membership functions and a product of two sigmoidal membership functions with a total of 2 membership functions for each input variable. Both models have the same Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) value, which is 1.79% in the training process and 4.82% in the testing process.

Abstract

Metode yang digunakan sistem hidroponik di BBP2TP sebagai tempat edukasi serta pembelajaran mengenai pengkajian dan pengembangan teknologi pertanian masih manual. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat saat petugas melakukan pengecekan nilai pH dan nutrisi, dimana petugas harus mendatangi tempat instalasi hidroponik untuk mengukur nilai pH dan nutrisi ke dalam tandon air dengan menggunakan alat berupa pH meter dan TDS meter. Jika nilai pH dan nutrisi belum sesuai maka dilakukan penambahan cairan pH atau nutrisi ke dalam tandon air hingga nilai pH dan nutrisi sesuai dengan yang diinginkan. Teknologi Smart Farming memungkinkan suatu alat yang dapat mengukur dan melihat nilai pH dan nutrisi sistem hidroponik. Arduino yang dapat membuat sistem menjadi otomatis, Sensor pH berfungsi sebagai pengukuran pH, Sensor TDS sebagai alat mengukur nilai nutrisi dan LCD 20x4 digunakan utuk melihat nilai pH dan nutrisi. Sehingga ketika nilai pH dan nutrisi berkurang, secara otomatis arduino akan menjalan sensor pH atau TDS untuk menyalakan pompa pH atau nutrisi. Saat nilai pH dan nutrisi telah sesuai maka pompa pH dan nutrisi akan terhenti. Dengan adanya sistem ini maka perkerjaan petugas lebih efisien.

Abstract

The research was conducted to determine the relationship between water quality and body length of arowana fish by measuring several water parameters including temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen and ammonia. In relation to length growth, calculations on SR, SGR are also carried out using ANNOVA. Direct laboratory scale observations were carried out by providing different feeds, including bloodworms, maggot, crickets and live fish with the water source for cultivation activities being well water. The results of observations in the field show that the growth rate of fish in length is influenced by the type of feed given. Giving bloodworms has the most effective value, next to live fish, maggots and crickets. This type of feed also affects the quality of the water used. To maintain success in ornamental fish cultivation, it is recommended to use water efficiently through integrated fish cultivation. Checking the water regularly as well as training of farmers on good management practices and integration is needed to ensure good water quality.

Abstract

Dry bamboo leaves are selected as a planting medium for ornamental plants to enhance nutrient content and improve soil drainage. Before being processed into fertilizer, dry bamboo leaves need to be shredded first. The leaf counting process for planting ornamental plants in villages still relies on manual methods such as using knives and scissors, which can be time-consuming and less effective. In response to this issue, a device for shredding dry bamboo leaves has been developed to improve efficiency and facilitate the leaf counting process. The innovation created is a household-scale dry bamboo leaf shredder that is more affordable and easy to mobilize due to its compact dimensions and lighter weight. The device is also easy to operate, as the shredding occurs when it is closed, and the process stops when it is opened, ensuring safe use for various users. The manual control of bamboo leaf weight and counting duration results in inconsistent shredding outcomes. Therefore, development has been carried out on the dry bamboo leaf shredder with artificial intelligence capabilities, specifically using fuzzy logic to automate the counting duration based on the size and weight of the bamboo leaves being inputted.

Abstract

Produktivitas pertanian di Indonesia masih belum optimal. Salah satu faktor penyebabnya adalah petani belum memiliki informasi yang tepat mengenai komoditas pertanian yang cocok ditanam berdasarkan lokasi geografisnya. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang sistem informasi komoditas pertanian berdasarkan lokasi geografis yang dapat membantu petani dalam meningkatkan produktivitasnya. Pendekatan ini difokuskan pada desain konseptual sistem, dengan mempertimbangkan faktor-faktor geografis seperti jenis tanah dan iklim. Sistem ini dirancang untuk memberikan rekomendasi komoditas pertanian yang tepat untuk setiap lokasi, membantu petani membuat keputusan yang lebih informasional dan terukur. Sistem informasi ini dibangun menggunakan metode Unified Approach. Metode ini merupakan metode pengembangan sistem yang menggabungkan berbagai metode dan teknik yang telah ada sebelumnya. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebuah sistem informasi komoditas pertanian berdasarkan lokasi geografis yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian di Indonesia.

Abstract

Dissolved Oxygen (DO) is an important parameter for maintaining water quality in aquaculture systems. The accuracy of DO sensors significantly affects the reliability of Internet of Things (IoT)-based monitoring systems. This study aimed to calibrate the DO sensor using a two-point calibration method and evaluate the accuracy of the sensor readings compared with those of a reference device (standard DO meter). A key novelty of this study lies in its multi-media calibration, performed directly on six distinct aquaculture water types, providing field-realistic validation conditions not commonly explored in previous studies. Furthermore, the accuracy of the calibrated sensor is evaluated quantitatively using MAE, RMSE, and percentage deviation to ensure rigorous performance assessment. The system was developed using an ESP32 microcontroller, DO sensor (SEN0237), DS18B20 temperature sensor, and ADS1115 ADC module. Testing was performed on six types of aquaculture water media and compared with a standard DO meter using a comparative approach. In total, n = 6 field measurement points (one stabilized reading per water medium) were used to compute MAE, RMSE, and percentage deviation. The comparison results showed that the calibrated sensor had high accuracy, with a Mean Absolute Error (MAE) of 0.1083 mg/L and a Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) of 0.2654 mg/L. Significant deviations occurred only in one type of water medium, whereas the other five showed results consistent with the reference device, indicating stable sensor readings. These findings confirm that proper calibration can improve the accuracy and reliability of IoT systems used for water-quality monitoring. Regular calibration is required to maintain the sensor performance, particularly for long-term use in dynamic aquaculture water environments.

Abstract

This study aims to design distance learning media in the form of virtual reality. The theme of application is chemical atoms. The use of VR in education is expected to be able to improve the learning process to be more interesting because Z generation is more interested in technology-based learning. This Virtual Reality application of chemical atoms (VRChemistry) contains a list of atoms in the periodic table. The method used in this research is Interactive Multimedia System of Design and Development (IMSDD). This method was developed by Dastbaz (2003). The stages in this method are: system requirements; design consideration; implementation, and evaluation. VRChemistry displays the main room menu as the main menu which will set the user to enter the virtual world of chemical atoms. This page displays the elements contained in the periodic table along with details of the selected elements, then see about the application or exit the application. The results of this study are multimedia applications in the form of virtual reality about chemical atoms. This application is useful for distance learning.
