Abstract

The tourism industry holds significant potential for supporting local economic growth, particularly in tourist areas like Kota Pari Pantai Cermin, where SMEs play a crucial role. However, the rapid growth of this industry brings challenges related to environmental and sustainability issues. Green marketing has become a key strategy to meet changing consumer preferences for environmentally friendly products. Enhancing employee environmental awareness is also vital to improving sustainability in this sector. This study aims to analyze the impact of green marketing and employee environmental awareness on the sustainability of tourism SMEs in Kota Pari Pantai Cermin, utilizing an associative method with 100 respondents from tourism SMEs that developed between 2022 and 2023. The results show that employee environmental awareness, SME competitiveness, and tourism industry development significantly influence SME sustainability. Recommendations from this study include increased environmental training for employees and support for environmental initiatives from SME owners. This research is expected to provide insights for sustainable policy development that supports both environmental and economic sustainability at the local level.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of financial attitude, subjective norms, and financial self-efficacy on the financial behavioral intentions of young entrepreneurs. As young entrepreneurs face increasing pressure to make strategic financial decisions, understanding the factors influencing their financial behavior is crucial. The primary goal of this research is to evaluate how financial attitudes, subjective norms, and self-efficacy in financial management shape young entrepreneurs' intentions to engage in prudent financial behaviors. A quantitative, cross-sectional survey will be conducted, targeting young entrepreneurs actively running their own businesses. Data will be collected through in-person surveys distributed at entrepreneurship events, business incubators, and local business networks. The analysis will utilize Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to explore the relationships among the variables. The study anticipates finding that positive financial attitudes, influential subjective norms, and high financial self-efficacy significantly impact financial behavioral intentions. These results are expected to provide valuable insights into the determinants of financial decision-making among young entrepreneurs. The research will contribute to enhancing financial education programs and offer practical recommendations for interventions aimed at strengthening financial self-efficacy and attitudes, ultimately promoting more responsible financial behaviors.

Abstract

This conceptual paper aims to explore the mediating role of ambidextrous marketing capabilities in the relationship between market knowledge breadth and innovation performance within the hospitality sector, specifically in food and beverage establishments. This study addresses a critical gap in the literature by proposing a theoretical framework that links these variables. It conceptualizes how a firm’s breadth of market knowledge—encompassing insights into various market segments and customer needs—can influence its innovation performance, with ambidextrous marketing capabilities acting as a mediating factor. Ambidextrous marketing capabilities are defined in terms of their exploratory (ability to explore new markets and customer segments) and exploitative (ability to leverage existing market knowledge) dimensions. The paper argues that firms with extensive market knowledge are better positioned to develop and apply these capabilities effectively, thus enhancing their innovation outcomes. The proposed framework suggests that market knowledge breadth influences innovation performance both directly and indirectly through ambidextrous marketing capabilities. This conceptual approach aims to provide a foundation for future empirical research and offers theoretical insights into how firms in the hospitality sector can leverage their market knowledge and marketing capabilities to drive innovation.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi yang pesat mendorong kebutuhan akan pemahaman Artificial Intelligence (AI) sejak dini, khususnya bagi siswa sekolah menengah kejuruan (SMK) yang akan terjun ke dunia kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan konsep dasar AI kepada siswa SMK 4 Padangsidimpuan guna meningkatkan kesiapan mereka menghadapi tantangan di era teknologi. Kegiatan ini dilakukan melalui sosialisasi, pendampingan, serta penggunaan modul interaktif yang dirancang untuk memberikan pemahaman praktis mengenai implementasi AI dalam berbagai bidang. Metode yang digunakan meliputi diskusi, simulasi, dan studi kasus yang relevan dengan dunia industri. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman siswa terhadap AI serta kesadaran akan pentingnya penguasaan teknologi dalam dunia kerja. Diharapkan penelitian ini dapat menjadi langkah awal dalam mendorong integrasi AI dalam kurikulum pendidikan di SMK serta memberikan manfaat bagi siswa dalam menghadapi persaingan global.

Abstract

Judi online telah menjadi permasalahan serius yang mengancam generasi muda di era digital. Fenomena ini kian mengkhawatirkan seiring dengan mudahnya akses internet dan minimnya pengawasan terhadap aktivitas daring remaja. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi kepada remaja mengenai dampak negatif judi online dari aspek sosial, ekonomi, psikologis, dan hukum. Metode yang digunakan mencakup ceramah edukatif, diskusi interaktif, serta survei pre-test dan post-test. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar remaja belum memiliki pemahaman yang mendalam terkait konsekuensi judi online, mulai dari kerugian finansial, gangguan mental, hingga implikasi hukum. Namun setelah mengikuti kegiatan sosialisasi, terjadi peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman dan kesadaran mereka mengenai bahaya judi online. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat mencegah keterlibatan remaja dalam praktik judi online serta mendorong penggunaan teknologi digital secara bijak. Pendampingan berkelanjutan dari orang tua, sekolah, dan masyarakat sangat diperlukan untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang kondusif bagi perkembangan remaja yang sehat dan produktif.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to identify and understand the problems faced by the residents of Pelawi Utara Subdistrict and to formulate appropriate and applicable solutions. The main focus of the program is on strengthening interpersonal communication and developing work-related skills among community members as essential components of social and economic capital. Communication plays a strategic role in delivering accurate information and fostering harmonious social relations among residents. Meanwhile, work skills are positioned as competencies that can be enhanced to produce valuable and productive outputs. Geographically, Pelawi Utara is located in a midland area and is surrounded by other subdistricts within the Babalan District, Langkat Regency. The outcomes of the program indicate the development of more positive and active communication among residents, which is manifested through artistic works resulting from skill development activities. The impact of this initiative includes improvements in community living standards and the strengthening of social cohesion, supported by the active involvement of local government officials as facilitators and intermediaries between stakeholders.

Abstract

This study delves into the strategic transformation of Muslim communities into cashless societies, with a specific focus on the determinants of user acceptance and behavioral influences. Embracing a comprehensive approach, the research thoroughly examines existing literature, unraveling the inherent complexities of this societal shift. Meticulous detailing of key findings captures the factors shaping user acceptance within the context of a theoretical model situated in a broader conceptual framework. The research methodology employs tailored open-ended questions to explore Muslim user acceptance, ensuring meticulous transcription and in-depth analysis of interview data for result reliability. The outcomes highlight dynamics at play, challenging conventional assumptions by underscoring the significance of pull factors in driving acceptance. Implications derived from this research offer actionable insights for practitioners and contribute substantively to the existing literature on Muslim societal transformation. The findings affirm the relevance of the adopted theoretical framework, providing a lens through which to interpret and navigate evolving Muslim consumer behavior in the transition toward cashless societies.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat peran generasi Z sebagai kreator konten digital dalam upaya meningkatkan promosi dan daya saing produk Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di media sosial. Generasi Z memiliki potensi besar dalam mengoptimalkan platform digital karena kedekatannya dengan teknologi dan kemampuan adaptif terhadap tren komunikasi modern. Pelatihan dilakukan melalui pendekatan praktik langsung dan pendampingan intensif, meliputi pembuatan konten foto, video, copywriting promosi, serta strategi manajemen media sosial yang efektif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan peserta dalam menghasilkan konten yang menarik, relevan, dan berdampak pada peningkatan interaksi akun promosi UMKM. Selain itu, kegiatan ini turut memperluas jangkauan pemasaran digital UMKM melalui kolaborasi antara pelaku usaha dan kreator muda. Dampak nyata terlihat dari peningkatan engagement dan awareness terhadap produk lokal. Program ini menjadi langkah strategis dalam membangun ekosistem ekonomi kreatif berbasis digital yang berkelanjutan serta memperkuat sinergi antara generasi muda dan sektor UMKM.

Abstract

Penelitia ini bertujuan untuk melihat secara signifikan antara variabel kepemimpinan dan variabel budaya organisasi terhadap kinerja karyawan yang berlokasi pada PT Astra International Tbk Isuzu Cabang Medan, dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan data primer serta scunder. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel sebanyak 57 responden serta menggunakan skala likert. Penelitian ini dengan hasil pada uji F bahwa nilai dari F hitung F tabel yaitu  59,963 3,159 dengan nilai signifikannya adalah 0,000 . sedangkan dilihat dari hasil uji T nya bahwa T hitung T tabel dengan nilai angka 1,879 1,672 dan nilai signifikansinya 0,003 0,005 pada variabel gaya kepemimpinan sedangkan untuk variabel budaya organisasi sebesar T hitung T tabel 6,593 1,672 dan signifikansinya 0,000. Hasil olah data dengan menggunakan SPSS versi 16,0 maka hasil dari hipotesisnya mejawab bahwa dari 2 variabel bebas yaitu gaya kepemimpinan dan budaya organisasi memberikan nilai sebesar 78,8 % dan sisanya 22,2 dan akan di teruska oleh peneliti di luar penelitian ini.

Abstract

Rapid digital transformation has increased the need for firms to optimize how technological resources are utilized and integrated to enhance performance, particularly among Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) facing resource constraints. Although prior research highlights the value of digital adoption, less is known about how resource integration mechanisms convert technology-driven utilization into sustainable performance outcomes. This study aims to examine the effect of technology-driven resource utilization on firm performance and to test the mediating role of resource integration within the Resource-Based View (RBV) framework. A quantitative research design was applied using survey data collected from 233 firms undergoing digital transformation across various industries. The hypothesized relationships were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS. The analysis followed standard PLS-SEM procedures, including measurement model assessment for reliability and convergent validity, and structural model evaluation to test path significance and mediation effects. The results show that technology-driven resource utilization has a significant positive effect on firm performance. Resource integration also significantly improves firm performance and partially mediates the relationship between resource utilization and performance, indicating that digital resources contribute more effectively when embedded into coordination routines, aligned workflows, and knowledge-sharing mechanisms. This study concludes that dynamic resource integration is a critical capability for translating technology-driven resource utilization into sustainable firm performance, extending RBV by emphasizing integration capability as a strategic asset. Limitations include the cross-sectional design and SME-focused sample; future studies should employ longitudinal designs and broader industry contexts.
