Abstract

Eccentricity measurement techniques are developed to ensure optimization of operational works, either for large or small objects such as upper bearing kWH meter. Small object eccentricity testing has been done by using precise and sensitive touch trigger probing and a special sofware that makes it expensive. This study developed a more economical vision systemin eccentricity testing. It consists of bearing holder and CCD microscope as an image recorder and computerized image processing. It uses three tested bearing during image recording process, which obtained 12 images from each tested bearing taken from every 30o angle, and one image as registration reference. Image registration process is conducted to correct imperfections bearing mounting into its holder and use centroid method to test the eccentricity of upper bearing kWH meter. This study is succeed in making an eccentricity testing prototype of upper bearing kWH meter which obtained result of 2nd bearing has its largest standard deviation. From all standard deviation value obtained that x -axis (horizontal) standard deviation is larger than y-axis (vertical) which means that detection of x direction is more accurate than y direction. To enhance precision image acquisition in the next study, it is expected the use of a computer system with homogeneous illumination is enabled.

Abstract

The use of Borax as a food additive has adverse effects on public health. In an effort to prevent contaminated foodstuffs from becoming public consumption and to detect this contamination quickly and effectively, this research proposes the design of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based borax detection tool using color recognition technology from the HuskyLens Camera. This tool is designed to detect the presence of borax in food with high accuracy and in a short time. This research uses the HuskyLens Camera as a sensor that is sensitive to the target contaminant, and the data obtained from this sensor is transmitted through the IoT network to the MIT App Inventor platform. Optimized detection methods and data processing algorithms are used to accurately interpret the sensor results, providing authorities with immediate information on the safety status of the tested foodstuffs. Experimental test results show that the proposed detection tool has good performance in detecting borax in various types of foodstuffs. It provides an efficient and reliable solution to the challenge of food contamination. With the integration of IoT technology, the detector is able to provide real-time information to authorities, potentially raising awareness about overall food safety. Thus, the design of this IoT-based borax detector has great potential to overcome the problem of food contamination and make a significant contribution to maintaining public health.

Abstract

Processing rice products into rice requires further processing, where the grain harvested from farmers is processed into rice. The Nagari Binaan Community Service team from Padang State University will later develop this process. Farmer groups say that the availability of continuous and cheap electricity is their obstacle in producing good and cheap rice products. Counseling and assistance in making civil buildings capture turbulence water micro-hydro power plants is a solution to partner problems offered by the community service team of the Nagari program assisted by Padang State University. The output of the Nagari Fostered Program will be used to build a 5000-watt capacity power plant, supporting the need for free and environmentally friendly electricity. This aligns with the government's renewable energy program for 2030, which aims to produce 25% of the national electricity from renewable sources. This program is planned for 3 (three) stages, where the first year is mapping and detailed engineering design in the form of reports and design drawings. The second year is in the form of civil construction, and the third year's target is the installation of electrical machines and panels for commissioning. There will be training for partners, such as farmers in Kanagarian Kamang Hilia, Agam.

Abstract

Background: Optimasi manajemen keuangan di lingkungan sekolah sangat penting untuk meningkatkan efisiensi, transparansi, dan pengelolaan sumber daya yang efektif. Sekolah yang memiliki sistem keuangan yang terorganisir dengan baik dapat memastikan bahwa sumber daya keuangan digunakan secara optimal untuk mendukung proses pendidikan dan kegiatan operasional. Saat ini, Sekolah Dasar Islam Terpadu Padang Islamic School (SDIT PIS) menghadapi tantangan dalam sistem manajemen keuangannya yang masih bergantung pada pencatatan manual menggunakan Excel. Pendekatan ini sering kali menyebabkan kesalahan, kurangnya transparansi, dan keterbatasan dalam analisis data keuangan. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem manajemen keuangan yang lebih efisien dan terintegrasi di SDIT PIS. Metode: Terdapat tahapan yaitu analisis kebutuhan, pengembangan aplikasi, pelatihan, dan evaluasi. Selain itu, program ini juga mencakup pemasangan display LED berjalan di area strategis sekolah sebagai media promosi kegiatan sekolah, prestasi siswa, dan informasi lainnya. Hasil: Hasil dari program ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi dan transparansi manajemen keuangan sekolah serta memfasilitasi promosi kegiatan sekolah. Kesimpulan: Dengan penerapan teknologi informasi yang tepat, sekolah dapat meningkatkan efektivitas pengelolaan keuangan dan keterlibatan masyarakat dalam mendukung kegiatan sekolah.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Quantum Learning-based e-module for the subject of Natural and Social Science Projects (IPAS) in class X Vocational High School, focusing on Economic Behavior and Social Welfare material. The development employed the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). Expert validation results show that the e-module is very valid in material (89.70%) and language (96.70%), and valid in media (78%). Practicality tests indicate the module is practical (79% by teachers) and very practical (82% by students). Effectiveness was assessed through pre-test and post-test with 31 students, analyzed using the t-test. The results show a t-count of 16.17, exceeding the t-table value of 1.697 at a 0.05 significance level, indicating a significant improvement in student learning outcomes after using the module. In conclusion, the Quantum Learning-based e-module meets the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness, and can be used as a quality learning resource to enhance student engagement and achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of digital-based media in enhancing the professional competence of teachers at SMAN 5 Batam. Teacher competence is crucial for improving the quality of learning, and digital technology offers potential strategies for professional development. The research employed a quantitative approach, using descriptive and inferential analyses, with simple linear regression to examine the relationship between digital media use and teacher competence. The results show that integrating digital media positively impacts teachers’ knowledge, pedagogical skills, and learning innovation. The study found a strong correlation between digital media use and professional competence (r = 0.770) and a coefficient of determination of 58.83%, indicating that digital media contributes significantly to competence improvement. Despite these positive outcomes, several challenges were identified, including limited infrastructure, insufficient ongoing training, and resistance to adopting new technologies. The findings suggest that the effective use of digital media can enhance teacher competence when supported by proper policies, continuous training, and capacity-building programs. This research highlights the strategic role of digital technology in teacher development and provides empirical evidence that supports the integration of digital media as a tool to foster professional growth and innovation in education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of implementing the Archerys ID Model instructional design and student learning motivation on physics learning outcomes. The Archerys ID Model, developed from the ARCS motivational framework, incorporates reflection and the formation of learning habits to enhance both engagement and academic integrity. A quasi-experimental method with a 2Ă—2 factorial design was employed, involving an experimental group taught using the Archerys ID Model and a control group using the TPACK model. Data were collected through learning motivation questionnaires and standardized physics tests, then analyzed using two-way ANOVA to assess main effects and interactions. The results showed that students taught with the Archerys ID Model achieved significantly higher learning outcomes than those in the TPACK group. Learning motivation also had a significant effect on student performance, while no interaction was found between the instructional model and motivation levels. These findings indicate that the Archerys ID Model is effective in improving learning outcomes, particularly when combined with strategies that promote intrinsic learning engagement.

Abstract

Model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) pada kurikulum Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) menjadi faktor penting dalam menilai kinerja perguruan tinggi negeri (PTN) khususnya IKU 7. Pentingnya persentase matakuliah yang menggunakan model PjBL dan model Case Method diharapkan dalam upaya mencapai tujuan tersebut. Departemen Teknik Elektro melakukan serangkaian sosialisasi untuk merencanakan dan merancang perangkat PjBL, termasuk di matakuliah Algoritma Pemrograman. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah merancang perangkat pembelajaran Prak Algoritma dan Pemrograman dengan konsep PjBL, yang juga menanamkan nilai-nilai BerAKHLAK. Nilai-nilai BerAKHLAK, yaitu Berorientasi Layanan, Akuntabel, Kompeten, Harmonis, Loyal, Adaptif, dan Kolaboratif, bukan hanya diterapkan oleh ASN, tetapi juga dapat diterapkan di kelas kepada pendidik dan siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan bagian dari pengembangan model pembelajaran PjBL pada matakuliah Prak Algoritma Pemrograman, dengan fokus pada tahap desain. Tahapan penelitian dimulai dengan pengumpulan data dan literatur, penyusunan capaian pembelajaran, penyusunan indikator penilaian, pemilihan metode pembelajaran, dan terakhir, finalisasi Rancangan Pembelajaran Semester berbasis PjBL. Setiap langkah yang diambil mempertimbangkan nilai-nilai BerAKHLAK, baik bagi pendidik maupun peserta didik
