Abstract

This article was created by reviewing the case of fraudulent actions made by PT Tiga Pilar Sejahtera Food Tbk. The purpose of this article is to identify the problems of fraud in the preparation of financial statements at PT Tiga Pilar Sejahtera Food Tbk. The author uses the literature study method which involves reviewing and critically evaluating literature sources to understand and describe the latest research developments related to the topic taken. The result of this article is that the company was found to have manipulated the financial statements based on an investigation by Ernst & Young Indonesia (EY) in 2018 due to a significant decline in stock prices. The conclusion of this article is that PT Tiga Pilar Sejahtera Food Tbk is subject to imprisonment for 3 years, which is reduced by the defendant's detention period.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of the 5W + 1H method in enhancing English language skills among Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students. The 5W + 1H method, which stands for Who, What, Where, When, Why, and How, is a popular journalistic technique used to gather information and structure a story. This method can be adapted to English language teaching to encourage students to ask questions, develop critical thinking, and improve their communication skills. The study employed a quasi-experimental design, involving 30 students from a Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Indonesia. The results showed that the experimental group, which received the 5W + 1H method instruction, outperformed the control group in terms of English language skills, including reading, writing, and speaking. The students' responses to the questionnaire indicated that they enjoyed the learning process and felt more confident in using English. The study suggests that the 5W + 1H method is an effective approach to teaching the English language to Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students, promoting interactive and collaborative learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. The findings have implications for English language teaching in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah settings, providing a framework for teachers to create a more engaging and effective learning environment.

Abstract

The Andra-Dimyati pair built a large coalition with the support of ten political parties, demonstrating significant electoral strength in the Banten gubernatorial election. Their vision and mission, which focuses on "Banten Maju, Adil Merata tidak Korupsi" (Advanced, Fair, Equitable, No Corruption), includes priority programs such as improving workers' welfare, free education for high school students, and increasing village budgets. These programs are expected to be able to answer the needs of the community, especially the younger generation and labor groups. The campaign strategy that utilizes social media, especially Instagram and TikTok, allows them to reach young voters with dynamic and interactive visual content. Through live streaming, Instagram Stories, and entertainment-based content, they have succeeded in creating direct interaction and strengthening closeness with voters. An innovative approach to social media campaigns and strong coalition support increase Andra-Dimyati's competitiveness in the 2024 Banten gubernatorial election.

Abstract

Peningkatan produktivitas tanaman dipengaruhi oleh kandungan unsur hara yang salah satunya terdapat pada pupuk kotoran kambing. Mayoritas masyarakat Desa Sumberurip memiliki lahan perkebunan dan hewan ternak. Namun, hasil observasi secara langsung bahwa kotoran kambing di Desa Sumberurip digunakan langsung ke tanaman tanpa pengolahan. Sehingga, sangat penting dilakukan pelatihan melalui pemanfaatan dan pengolahan kotoran kambing menjadi pupuk organik yang bisa dimanfaatkan untuk pertanian-perkebunan. Tujuan utama kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah meningkatkan kesadaran, pengetahuan dan keterampilan peternak terhadap pentingnya pengolahan limbah kotoran kambing (feses) menjadi pupuk organik/kompos untuk meningkatkan produktivitas tanaman sekaligus penerapan konsep sirkular ekonomi. Kegiatan dilakukan selama bulan Juli - Agustus 2024. Metode yang digunakan adalah identifikasi masalah melalui observasi dan survey, penyuluhan, demonstrasi, diskusi-tanya jawab, serta monitoring evaluasi (monev). Capaian program kerja adalah kelompok tani mempunyai respon positif, bisa menerapkan pengolahan limbah kotoran kambing menjadi pupuk dengan proses fermentasi dilakukan dengan baik, namun didapatkan hasil monitoring bahwa 3/5 rumah masih belum menerapkan pengolahan limbah kotoran kambing menjadi pupuk organik.

Abstract

Tanah lempung adalah jenis tanah yang sering dijumpai di lapangan, tetapi memiliki banyak kekurangan dari sisi sifat mekanika, seperti daya dukung yang rendah, perubahan volume yang signifikan, dan tingkat permeabilitas yang rendah. Keadaan ini membuat tanah lempung kurang cocok digunakan sebagai material dasar untuk konstruksi tanpa adanya peningkatan terlebih dahulu. Salah satu cara yang biasa diterapkan untuk memperbaiki kualitas tanah lempung adalah dengan metode stabilisasi. Stabilisasi bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kekuatan dan kestabilan tanah dengan mencampurkan bahan tertentu. Belakangan ini, penggunaan bahan limbah sebagai opsi untuk stabilisasi semakin banyak diteliti karena dianggap lebih ramah lingkungan dan hemat biaya. Beberapa jenis limbah yang sering digunakan antara lain abu sekam padi, abu terbang, serbuk kaca, limbah keramik, serta limbah dari industri lainnya. Penggunaan bahan-bahan ini terbukti dapat memperbaiki sifat mekanis tanah lempung, termasuk kuat tekan bebas, nilai CBR, kepadatan maksimum, batas plastis, dan batas cair. Karakteristik mekanis ini sangat vital dalam menilai kelayakan tanah untuk pembangunan bangunan dan infrastruktur. Di samping itu, penggunaan limbah juga berkontribusi dalam mengurangi dampak pencemaran lingkungan yang diakibatkan oleh penumpukan limbah. Berdasarkan berbagai studi sebelumnya, penggunaan limbah untuk stabilisasi tanah lempung terbukti dapat secara signifikan memperbaiki sifat mekanis tanah dan menjadikannya lebih cocok untuk digunakan dalam proyek sipil maupun konstruksi yang besar dan kompleks.

Abstract

The problems in geography learning are difficulties in submitting and providing answers related to material and teacher-centered learning activities. This research aims to examine of the effect of the self-directed learning model on critical thinking skills and learning independence in geography subjects. This research is a quasi-experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. Data collection methods include written test of essay questions about critical thinking skills and questionnaires regarding learning independence. The subjects of this study were class X-3 as the experimental class and class X-1 as the control class with a total of 34 students every class. Based on the results of Mann-Whitney U hypothesis testing, it is known that critical thinking ability has an Asymp. Sig 0.000 0.05. So, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, meaning that there is an effect of the self-directed learning model on critical thinking skills in geography subjects. Meanwhile, the learning independence shows the value of Asymp. Sig value of 0.000 0.05. then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, which means that there is an effect of the self-directed learning model on learning independence in geography subjects. The research findings show that the syntax of the self-directed learning model, namely implementation and evaluation as well as the syntax of identifying learner abilities and learning resources, affects critical thinking skills. Meanwhile, the syntax that affects learning independence is the syntax of identifying learner abilities and learning resources. Therefore, this research is expected to make a significant new contribution in understanding the self-directed learning model as an effort to improve critical thinking skills and learning independence in geography subjects.
