<![CDATA[This Study analyzes the strategic dramaturgy implemented by the 2024 Central Java Governor candidate pair, Andika Perkasa and Hendrar Prihadi, in building their political image via Instagram. The dramaturgical approach highlights how candidate pairs create a "political stage" through symbols, narratives and structured public interactions to attract voters' attention. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with data analysis and social media content analysis. The research results show that dramaturgical strategies play an important role in building public perceptions of the couple as firm, popular and inclusive leaders. This article also presents a tabular analysis of the dramaturgical elements used by Andika and Hendrar in various campaign contexts.]]>

<![CDATA[The rapid changes of the times affect various aspects of human life globally. This condition is considered part of the conditions that occur in the Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity (VUCA era). The VUCA era has also impacted people in Indonesia, especially in the economic sector, causing prices of basic necessities to keep rising. To manage the economic situation, the Indonesian government must adopt an effective public communication strategy to stabilize society. This research uses Stuart Hall's representation theory, which examines how language produces meaning in public communication. The aim is to analyze the government's communication strategy in responding to global economic and political uncertainty in the VUCA era. The study adopts a qualitative approach, utilizing critical discourse analysis by Norman Fairclough. The primary data comes from the Indonesian government's communications, specifically through the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube account, analyzing three selected videos. The findings indicate that President Joko Widodo's administration aims to shape public perception, reassuring citizens that the nation's economic uncertainty is manageable. This research highlights the importance of understanding the VUCA era and provides insights for the government to adopt appropriate communication strategies to guide public attitudes and behavior.]]>

<![CDATA[New media which is currently developing in line with developments in information technology brings a new dimension to the field of communication. Physical public space is shifting and find a new platform, namely digital public space which brings today's society to live in a connected world. One of the virtual communities on a global scale whose founder came from Indonesia is "Type Unite" Virtual community “Type United” built in 2017. It began from informal discussion about student collaboration project in Typography. The result of the project was uploaded in social media (facebook). The research question; how the role of new media in building virtual community “Type Unite”. Research approach used mediamorphosis analysis from Fiddler. Mediamorphosis describes the changes that occur in media production, distribution, and consumption. Technology product applications transcend the borders of traditional media and become an actor on a global scale. The new media applications, products such as information and news are rapidly spreading from the country of manufacture to the whole world. The internet has been improved in these developments and increased the relationship of many tools with each other. Social media also part of the new media like internet. Social media is not only as an information instrument but also unify some Typography lecturers from all over the world to join in virtual community. They made global alliance from all over countries. According to the principles of media morphosis analysis, there are co-evolution, convergency, and complexity in “Type Unite” as virtual community. Typographers from all over the world has adapted with new media platform and productively use as a tools to collaborate and to do some typography works. New media supports the participant to interact and build virtual community in global collaboration. Type Unite can be a model and inspiration for others to make a virtual community with specific theme.]]>

<![CDATA[The national palm oil industry is increasingly becoming the government's attention. In the midst of opinions about the dominance of big companies and the weak image of smallholder oil palm plantations, demonstrations triggered by the scarcity of cooking oil show the figure of Indonesian oil palm farmers. This study wants to explore how the media constructs the reality of oil palm farmers. The theory used is the social constructions of reality Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckmann. While the descriptive qualitative research approach uses the semiotic analysis method of Charles Sanders Peirce. The data analysis technique used non-participant observation and secondary documents. The results of the research on the Naga Naga Naga film with the main character Nagabonar concluded that there is a semion with an interpretation of oil palm farmers. With the triangle of meaning method, oil palm farmers are constructed as people who are economically prosperous, have high nationalism, and have intelligent thoughts even though they are not formally educated. This study is also a reflection on the reality that occurs in the community.]]>

<![CDATA[Major media corporations in the West have begun to use AI (Artificial Intelligence) to write news. In Indonesia, news site Beritagar.id is the first to use AI to write news. Is "artificial intelligence" technological development the final sign of human role as news reporters? For science fiction genre film fans, Skynet artificial intelligence or AI system is familiar in the Terminator trilogy. Determinism of technology can be interpreted as due to the influence of technological developments. Moreover, it can not be denied that the presence of cyber media and citizen journalism movement directly or indirectly impacts the media that has been considered the ruler of information production and distribution. This condition occurs because the internet provides easy access to citizens by accessing information, producing information, and even producing news produced, causing the pattern of social democracy to change. ]]>

<![CDATA[Instagram is one of the largest social media platforms in the world which has more user growth figures compared to Facebook. The reason is that Instagram prioritizes visuals and makes it easier to share photos and videos, has become the target of business accounts, there are more and more features, and there are many supporting applications that make it easier for Instagram users to organize their photos, it has been owned by Facebook since 2012 and is connected to Facebook. This study aims to study how the Instagram platform is from the perspective of advanced capitalism. The business of providing the Instagram social media platform can be seen as a practice of advanced capitalism. This is based on the reason that the Instagram social media platform is in line with the three pillars of capitalism, namely exploitation, expansion, accumulation, and the government's role in the business process.]]>

<![CDATA[The research utilized qualitative data analysis for its data. This is intended to provide a more comprehensive understanding of problems encountered during data collection that directly or indirectly correlates to the research, its environment, subjects, or others. According to Miles and Huberman, data analysis consists of three activities that occur simultaneously. Based on the research, we discovered that communication behavior coming from the use of social media, with a focus only on Twitter, is diverse. In other words, Twitter can help provide information related to the subjects’ social interaction, perspective, and views of on certain social issues and conditions as they post their opinions and thoughts onto the Twitter channels to interact with other users who identify as their online friends or followers. <![CDATA[ÂABSTRACT The presence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has brought many changes to human life. Many job conveniences have been helped by the development of AI. Jobs that previously could be completed by humans are slowly starting to be replaced by entities called AI. The use of AI technology brings various innovations and efficiencies, for example content personalization to create interesting and relevant content for users, account automation, and so on. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine uses AI as a provider of up-to-date and reliable information on consular affairs. The post on the Instagram account of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Victoria Shi would carry out the task of providing various information services to the public and media as well as Ukrainian consular affairs services. There were mixed reactions to the upload, many responded positively, although quite a few also responded negatively in the comments column. This research aims to describe, understand and analyze the content of conversations or texts and the use of emoticon symbols that occur in the Instagram posts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine by paying attention to aspects such as the structure of speech transfer, construction of the exchange of ideas, parts of speech and identity. <![CDATA[Abstrak: Teori strukturasi diperkenalkan oleh Anthony Giddens menjelaskan sistem sosial dibangun dan dilanggengkan dalam ruang dan waktu melalui hubungan timbal balik antara pelaku dan struktur. Melalui teori ini Giddens mencoba mencari jalan tengah dari pandangan dominan pada struktur dan pandangan human agency. Para aktor melakukan aktivitas berulang dalam mereproduksi struktur. Aktor atau agen ialah orang-orang yang secara berkesinambungan mengalami suatu persitiwa dalam kehidupan (Giddens 1979, 55). Sedangkan struktur didefnisikan sebagai aturan (rules) dan sumber daya (resource) yang terbentuk dari dan membentuk perulangan praktik sosial. Munculnya tindak pelanggaran Hak Cipta dengan berbagai bentuk danjenisnya, kuantitas maupun kualitas oleh media merupakan anomali dari praktik strukturasi akibat aktor yang melakukan aktivitas berulang dalam struktur justru mendukung pelanggaran tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan kerangka analisis teori strukturasi yang dikembangkan oleh Antony Giddens dan menggunakan pendekatan secara yuridis normatif yaitu merupakan studi dokumen, yakni dengan menggunakan sumber data sekunder berupa peraturah-peraturan, perundang- undangan, teori-teori hukum dan pendapat para sarjana hukum terkemuka terhadap pelanggaran hak cipta dalam konten yang diproduksi oleh media massa online.]]>

<![CDATA[Social media platforms have the ability to facilitate international condemnation of Israel's attacks on the Gaza region since October 8, 2023. However, social media, especially Facebook and Instagram, secretly carried out censorship actions which triggered user resistance to simultaneously use the image of a watermelon fruit as a representation of the Palestinian flag.
