Abstract

Education is something that is one of the keys to the success of an individual, group or nation in realizing the welfare and prosperity of its society. The purpose of this article is to find out and understand the role of education in social change. The method used by researchers is a descriptive qualitative research method that takes data from interviews, documentation and field observations. The results of this research are, the role of education in social change in schools can create a lot of interaction and character formation which is very necessary for future generations, and the technological changes that occur can make it easier for the community, teachers and students to search for information by saving a lot of time, Even searching for information can be done anywhere and at any time.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effect of palm frond compost fertilizer on the productivity of Pakchong grass (Pennisetum purpureum cv. Thailand) as livestock feed. The study was conducted at the UPTD-PPT IB Livestock and Animal Health Service of Bengkulu Province from July 2024 to April 2025 using a randomized block design (RBD) with four compost dose treatments (T0, T10, T20, and T30 tons/ha) and three replicates. The parameters observed included plant height, leaf width, stem circumference, and number of tillers. The results showed that compost application did not have a significant effect on the first harvest, but a significant increase was observed in the second harvest. The 30 tons/ha treatment produced the best growth, with plant height reaching 620.7 cm, stem circumference 57.42 mm, leaf width 10.77 cm, and an average of five tillers per clump. This indicates that oil palm frond compost has the potential to be an effective organic fertilizer in the long term, after the decomposition process has run optimally. Thus, the utilization of oil palm frond waste not only increases forage productivity but also supports sustainable agriculture through environmentally friendly waste management.

Abstract

This study discusses the transformation of ijtihad of Indonesian scholars in the formulation of the Compilation of Sharia Economic Law (KHES) using the maslahah perspective as the basis of analysis. KHES is the result of the codification of Islamic economic law in Indonesia that seeks to address the dynamics of the modern economy through a contextual approach to classical Islamic legal sources. Indonesian scholars have an important role in the ijtihad process by adapting sharia values to align with the social, cultural, and economic realities of Indonesian society. Through the maslahah mursalah approach, the transformation of ijtihad not only maintains the principles of justice and maslahah, but also reflects the flexibility of Islamic law in responding to developments in the era. This study found that KHES is the result of synergy between classical fiqh texts and the needs of contemporary economic practice, where maslahah becomes the main instrument to maintain the relevance and acceptability of Islamic law in the national economic realm. Thus, KHES reflects a concrete form of moderate, contextual, and oriented Nusantara Islam to the welfare of the people in the economic field.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has encouraged the use of audio-visual media such as YouTube as an engaging and effective learning tool. One relevant content is the Malin Kundang legend on the Dongeng Kita channel, which contains various moral values. This study aims to analyze the representation of moral values in the video and how they are conveyed through narrative elements, dialogue, and animated visuals as a medium for character education. The study employs a descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through observation and documentation by repeatedly watching the video and noting sections containing moral values,then analyzed using content analysis techniques. The findings indicate that moral values are primarily represented through interactions between characters, especially in the parent-child relationship. The identified values include love, sacrifice, responsibility, humility, honesty, and the consequences of disobedience. These values are conveyed not only through dialogue but also reinforced by the plot, conflicts, animated visuals, and closing narration that emphasizes the moral message. Therefore, the Malin Kundang video on the Dongeng Kita YouTube channel is relevant as an effective medium for character education, particularly in instilling moral values in children in the digital era.
