Abstract

Pagoda mustard (Brassica narinosa) is a plant that can be cultivated hydroponically. Hydroponics can be applied by people who have limited planting land, taking into account the dosage of the AB Mix nutrient concentration and the type of wick used. This study aims to obtain the best concentration of AB Mix on each type of axis on the growth and yield of pagoda mustard (Brassica narinosa) using the wick system hydroponic method. The research was conducted on Ciantra Village, South Cikarang District, Bekasi Regency, West Java. This study lasted for 2 months starting from November to December 2022. The research method used in this study was a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) experimental method consisting of 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor with 3 levels, namely the concentration of AB Mix nutrients n1 (1000 ppm), n2 (1200 ppm), and n3 (1400 ppm) while the second factor with 3 levels, namely the type of axis s1 (flannel wick), s2 (stove wick), and s3 (coconut coir). To find out the best treatment and continued with further test (Duncan Multiple Range Test) DMRT level of 5%. The results showed that there was an interaction between the concentration of AB Mix nutrients and the type of axis on the number of leaves 7 HST and economic fresh weight. Treatment of the nutrient concentration AB Mix n3 (1400 ppm) on the type of axis s1 (flannel wick) gave the best average economic fresh weight of 48,42 grams. Keywords: Pagoda, Wick System Hydroponics, AB Mix Nutrient Concentration, Wick Type

Abstract

The use of planting media is husk charcoal, sawdust and Cocopeat derived from agricultural waste. Husk charcoal, sawdust and Cocopeat can increase nutrient absorption for plants which can be combined with 15:15:15 compound NPK fertilizer, so that it can help increase the growth and yield of Apple Cucumber (Cucumis sp.) plants. The objective of this study was to identify the optimal combination of planting media types and NPK compound 15:15:15 for the growth and yield of apple cucumber plants. The research was conducted in Pasirjengkol Village, Majalaya District, Karawang Regency 41371 from March 2023 to May 2024. The method used was a single-factor Group Randomized Design (RAK) with 10 treatments, 3 replicates and 2 plant samples. This resulted in 60 experimental units, consisting of: A (Control soil + NPK 300 kg/ha), B (Soil + husk charcoal (1:1) + NPK 200 kg/ha), C (Soil + sawdust (1:1) + NPK 200 kg/ha), D (Soil + Cocopeat (1:1 The following treatments were applied: A (control soil + NPK 300 kg/ha), B (soil + husk charcoal (1:1) + NPK 200 kg/ha), C (soil + sawdust (1:1) + NPK 200 kg/ha), D (soil + Cocopeat (1:1 The following treatments were applied: 00 kg/ha, H (Soil + husk charcoal (1:3) + NPK 400 kg/ha), I (Soil + sawdust (1:3) + NPK 400 kg/ha), J (Soil + Cocopeat (1:3) + NPK 400 kg/ha). The results of the experiment will be subjected to the F test to ascertain the veracity of the observed effect. Should the effect be deemed genuine, it will be subjected to further testing using the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at the 5% level. The results demonstrated that the treatment of planting media types and NPK compound 15:15:15 Bern has a tangible impact on plant growth and yield. The treatment J (soil + Cocopeat (1:3) + NPK 400 kg/ha) yielded the most favorable results for tendril length (132.667 cm), stem diameter (4.367 mm), number of leaves (56 strands), and fruit weight (338.833 grams). Keywords: apple cucumber, husk charcoal, sawdust, cocopeat, NPK

Abstract

The determination of the application of planting media during seedling is a basic thing that needs to be known (Bayfurqon, 2019).  This study aims to determine the effect of the combination of planting media on the seeding of apple cucumber plants (Cucumis sp.) The experiment was carried out at  the screen house on Jalan Gang Histori, Kalijaya Hamlet 1 RT 003/RW 009 North Rengasdengklok Village, Rengasdengklok District, Karawang Regency starting from March 2024 – April 2024. The research method used was an experimental method using a single-factor Group Random Design (RAK) with 7 treatments that were repeated 4 (four) times, namely: m0 (soil), m1 (Cocopeat), m2 (husk charcoal), m3 (Cocopeat + cow manure), m4 (husk charcoal + cow manure), m5 (Cocopeat + cow manure + soil) and m6 (husk charcoal + cow manure + soil). The effect of the treatment was analyzed using the 5% F test, so to find out the best treatment, it was followed by the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at the 5% level. The results showed that the combination of planting media had a real influence on the seeding of apple cucumbers (Cucumis sp.). The M0 (soil) treatment gave the best results in plant height (13.34 cm), stem diameter in M0 treatment (2.35 mm), number of leaves in M0 treatment (4.12 leaves), leaf area in M0 treatment (11.28 cm2), plant fresh weight in M0 treatment (1.29 g) and success percentage in M6 treatment (100.00%), but there was no significant difference in growth synchronicity. Keywords: cucumber apple, nursery, combination of planting media

Abstract

Sludge is formed from the waste of food and beverage industry, that can be processed into organic fertilizer and utilized for agriculture, so that the combination of sludge organic fertilizer and NPK Mutiara fertilizer can increase the growth and yield of sweet corn plants (Zea mays L. saccharata Sturt). The aim of this research is to determine the best combination of organic sludge fertilizer and NPK Mutiara fertilizer for the growth and yield of sweet corn plants (Zea mays L. saccharata Sturt). The research was conducted on land owned by the Republic of Indonesia Money Printing Company (PERURI) from January to April 2024. The method used was a single-factor Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 7 treatments and 4 replications, resulting in 28 experimental units consisting of: A (Control), B (Sludge 10 t/ha + NPK 300 kg/ha), C (Sludge 15 t/ha + NPK 300 kg/ha), D (Sludge 20 t/ha + NPK 300 kg/ha), E (Sludge 10 t/ha + NPK 400 kg/ha), F (Sludge 15 t/ha + NPK 400 kg/ha), G (Sludge 20 t/ha + NPK 400 kg/ha). The results of the experiment were tested with the F test, if it had a significant effect, it was further tested with the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at the 5% level. The results showed that treatment G significantly affected the growth and yield of sweet corn plants. Treatment G (Sludge 20 t/ha + NPK 400 kg/ha) gave the highest result for plant height aged14,21,28,35,and42hst, number ofleavesaged21,28,35,and42hst, stemdiameter14,21,28,35,and42hst,cob length (36.40 cm), cob diameter (67.60 mm), corn cob weight with husk (534.00 grams), corn cob weight without husk (354.25 g), wet stover weight (592.00 g), dry stover weight (345.25), but it does not have a significant effect on the number of rows per cob with an average of (13.64 rows). Keywords: sweet corn, organic sludge fertilizer, NPK mutiara fertilizer.

Abstract

Vinasse is an ameliorant that can improve the chemical and physical properties of soil, but its use needs to be combined with inorganic fertilizer. One fertilizer can be used is potassium fertilizer which can increase the growth and colour pigment of Aglaonema sp. This research aims to obtain the best combination of Ameliorant Vinasse and Potassium fertilizer on the growth and leaf colour piment of Agalonema sp. This research on screen house at Campakasari Village, Campaka District, Purwakarta Regency, West Java from February 2024 to April 2024. The method used was a single-factor Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 8 treatments and 4 replications, resulting 32 experimental units consisting of: A (Control KCl 300kg/ha), B (Control Vinasse 10ml/l), C (Vinasse 10ml/l + KCl 200kg/ha), D (Vinasse 10ml/l + KCl 300kg/ha), E (Vinasse 10ml/l + KCl 400kg/ha), F (Vinasse 20ml/l + KCl 200kg/ha), G (Vinasse 20ml/l + KCl 300kg/ha), H (Vinasse 20ml/l + KCl 400kg/ha). The experimental result will be tested with an F-test, and if significant, will be further tested with Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at the 5% level. The method for leaf colour pigments uses questionnaire data scoring and analysed using multiple linear regression. The result showed that treatments significant affected on the growth and leaf colour pigment of Aglaonema sp. Treatment F (Vinasse 20 ml/l + KCl 200 kg/ha) give the highest yield for plant height(38,8 cm), number of leaves (9,50 leaves), number of shoots (2,25 shoots) and provides a strong correlation regression the visual appearance of leaf colour pigment and supporting factors of Aglaonema sp. on cosumer interest. Keywords: aglaonema sp., ameliorant vinasse, potassium fertilizer
