Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya minat belajar siswa pada pelajaran IPS. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa pada pelajaran IPS dengan menggunakan Strategi Belajar Concept Mapping. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas, yang terdiri dari 4 tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Adapun subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SDN 107420 Desa Tengah dengan objek penelitian minat belajar siswa. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan angket dan observasi. Observasi dilakukan untuk guru dan siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa dari 24 siswa hanya 3 orang siswa (12,5%) yang berminat pada pelajaran IPS, dan 21 orang siswa (87,5%) masih belum berminat. Berdasarkan hasil angket awal maka peneliti melakukan tindakan dengan menggunakan Strategi belajar Concept Mapping pada siklus I pertemuan pertama didapatkan hasil observasi siswa sebesar 51,53%, pada pertemuan kedua siklus I didapat hasil observasi siswa sebesar 53,98% dari kedua hasil observasi tersebut didapat nilai rata-rata sebesar 52,75% dan tergolong rendah. Selain observasi siswa, observasi guru juga dilakukan pada siklus I dan di peroleh nilai sebesar 68,11% pada pertemuan pertama, 75,36% pada pertemuan kedua, dari kedua hasil observasi guru tersebut didapat rata-rata observasi sebesar 71,73% dan tergolong cukup baik. Berdasarkan dari data pada siklus I masih didapat nilai yang kurang baik sehingga peneliti melanjutkan tindakan siklus II.Pada pertemuan pertama di siklus II diperoleh hasil observasi siswa sebesar 87,43% dan pada pertemuan kedua diperoleh hasil observasi siswa sebesar 95,28%, dari kedua hasil observasi tersebut maka didapatkan hasil rata-rata observasi siswa sebesar 91,35% dan tergolong sangat tinggi. Hasil observasi guru pada siklus II pertemuan pertama diperoleh hasil sebesar 88,4% dan 97,1% pada pertemuan kedua dari data tersebut diperoleh nilai rata-rata observasi guru sebesar 92,75% dan tergolong sangat tinggi. Setelah berakhirnya tindakan siklus I dan siklus II, peneliti kembali memberikan angket minat belajar siswa dan diperoleh hasil yaitu dari 24 orang siswa terdapat 21 orang siswa (87,5%) termasuk dalam kategori berminat dan sangat berminat, sedangkan 3 orang siswa (12,5%) masih tergolong dalam kategori tidak dan kurang berminat. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa strategi belajar Concept Mapping dapat meningkatkan minat belajar siswa pada pelajaran IPS materi perjuangan melawan penjajah di kelas V SDN 107420 Desa Tengah The problem in this study is the low student interest in social studies. The purpose of this study is to increase student interest in social studies using Concept Mapping Learning Strategies. This type of research is classroom action research, which consists of 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects in this study were fifth grade students of SDN 107420 Desa Tengah Village with the object of research being students' interest. Data collection in this study using a questionnaire and observation.Observations were made for teachers and students. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that of the 24 students only 3 students (12.5%) were interested in social studies, and 21 students (87.5%) were still not interested. Based on the results of the initial questionnaire, the researchers took action using the Concept Mapping learning strategy in the first cycle of the first meeting obtained student observation results of 51.53%, the second meeting of the first cycle obtained student observation results of 53.98% of the two observations obtained values an average of 52.75% and relatively low. In addition to student observations, teacher observations were also made in the first cycle and obtained a value of 68.11% at the first meeting, 75.36% at the second meeting, from the two teacher observations obtained an average observation of 71.73% and quite sufficient well.Based on the data in the first cycle, the value is still not good enough so that researchers continue the cycle II action. At the first meeting in the second cycle students' observation results obtained by 87.43% and the second meeting obtained student observation results of 95.28%, from the second observation results obtained an average student observation of 91.35% and classified as very high. The results of teacher observation in the second cycle of the first meeting obtained results of 88.4% and 97.1% in the second meeting of the data obtained an average value of teacher observation of 92.75% and is classified as very high. After the end of the action cycle I and cycle II, the researcher returned the questionnaire to students' interest in learning and obtained results from 24 students that there were 21 students (87.5%) included in the category of interested and very interested, while 3 students (12.5 %) still classified in the category of no and less interested. Thus it can be concluded that the Concept Mapping learning strategy can increase student interest in social studies subject matter struggle against invaders in class V SDN 107420 Desa Tengah Village.

Abstract

This thesis aims to determine the cooperative script method to obtain student learning outcomes, the effect of the cooperative script method on the learning outcomes of third grade Civics students at SD Negeri 101961 Timbang Deli in the 2022/2023 academic year. The method used is quantitative research. The data collection methods used are observation, tests and documentation. The sample in this study amounted to 20 experimental class students and 20 control class students. The results of research and discussion show the calculation result of -7.464 compared to the significant level of r table 5% N = 20 of 0.444, it can be concluded that it is concluded that the hypothesis (Ho) is accepted (Ha is rejected). Analysis using pretest and post-test. By doing a pretest in the experimental class there was 1 respondent with a high percentage of 5%, 12 respondents with a low percentage of 60%, 7 respondents with a very low percentage of 35%. While the posttest in the experimental class consisted of 13 respondents with a very high percentage of 65%, 7 respondents with a high percentage of 35%. with a high percentage of 5%, 12 respondents with a low percentage of 35%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between parental attention and mathematics learning outcomes in fifth-grade students at SDN 106788 Purwodadi Medan Sunggal. This research uses a quantitative approach with a total sample of 17 students, selected through total random sampling. The study focuses on the variables of parental attention and mathematics learning outcomes. Data were collected using questionnaires and tests. The validity of the instruments was assessed using the Product Moment formula, and reliability was tested using the Alpha formula. Descriptive analysis was used to present the data in tables, while parametric analysis employed product moment correlation techniques. The results indicate that there is a positive and significant relationship between parental attention and mathematics learning outcomes, as shown by the correlation coefficient (r_count > r_table = 0.555 > 0.227). Thus, it can be concluded that parental attention plays a significant role in improving the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth-grade students.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the impact of audio-visual media on student learning outcomes in the subject of animal growth for third-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah 37 Tanjung Selamat. The study employed an experimental method with a "One Group Pretest Posttest Design." The sample consisted of 20 students from the same grade and school. Data collection was conducted through observation and a story-writing test, and the data were analyzed using inferential statistical techniques. The results of the study revealed a significant improvement in student learning outcomes after the use of audio-visual media. Statistical analysis using the t-test showed that the obtained t-value was 4.99 with a degree of freedom (df) of 19 at a significance level of 0.05, with a critical t-value of 1.72. Since t-count > t-table, the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted. This confirms that the use of audio-visual media significantly improves student learning outcomes in the subject of animal growth for third-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah 37 Tanjung Selamat.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of the outdoor study method on the learning interest of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 105337 Pantai Labu Pekan. The outdoor study method involves taking students outside the classroom to observe real-life events, aiming to foster a closer connection with their environment. The research used an experimental design, with a sample consisting of 20 students. Data were collected through documentation and questionnaires, and the analysis was performed using SPSS. The results show that the outdoor study method has a significant positive effect on students' learning interest, with a t-value of 4.575, surpassing both the 5% significance level (2.024) and the 1% significance level (2.712). These findings demonstrate that outdoor study can be an effective tool to increase students' engagement and interest in learning.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of using domino card learning media on the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students in the topic of plant structure and function at SD Negeri 101928 Rantau Panjang and SD Negeri 101961 Timbang Deli. A quasi-experimental quantitative approach was employed in this study, with two classes of 20 students each, one serving as the experimental group and the other as the control group. Pretest and posttest questions were used to collect data. The results revealed that the experimental class, which used domino card learning media, achieved a highest score of 92, while the control class, which did not use the media, scored a maximum of 88. These findings indicate a significant positive influence of the domino card learning media on the science learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 101961 Timbang Deli.

Abstract

This research employed a descriptive qualitative method, aiming to reveal the real conditions of a specific social phenomenon. The study focused on examining the influence of school facilities and infrastructure on enhancing learning motivation among fifth-grade students at UPT SPF SD Negeri 104202 Bandar Setia, Percut Sei Tuan, Deli Serdang Regency. The research involved 30 students as participants and was conducted over six meetings. The analysis considered the availability of educational facilities such as classrooms, sports areas, places of worship, libraries, laboratories, and other essential resources, including the use of information and communication technology, in supporting the learning process. Hypothesis testing revealed that the correlation coefficient (r) from the calculations (0.484) exceeded the critical value from the r distribution table (0.361), with a significance level of 5%. This indicates a positive and significant effect of school facilities and infrastructure on increasing student learning motivation.

Abstract

This research aims to develop Explosion Box media for teaching the human respiratory system and to assess its feasibility and practicality based on evaluations by educators and students. The study adopts the Borg and Gall development model and follows six stages: potential problems, data collection, product design, product validation, product revision, and product testing. Data collection involved questionnaires from material and media experts to determine feasibility and responses from teachers and students to evaluate practicality. The subjects were fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 101928 Rantau Panjang, Pantai Labu District. The results showed that the Explosion Box media received a feasibility score of 77% from media experts and 80% from material experts. Teachers’ responses indicated a practicality score of 1, demonstrating the effectiveness of the media. The developed Explosion Box media is suitable and practical for teaching the human respiratory system in science lessons for fifth-grade students. This media offers an innovative and engaging approach to enhance student understanding of complex scientific concepts.

Abstract

This study aims to address the lack of development of thematic LKPD (Student Worksheets) at NU Tanjung Baru Integrated Islamic Elementary School. Utilizing the Research and Development (R&D) methodology, this research followed ten structured stages: identifying potential problems, data collection, product design, product validation, design revision, product trial, product revision, usage trial, further revision, and mass production. Expert assessments from material, media, and language reviewers yielded scores in the "very appropriate" category, indicating high feasibility. The developed LKPD was subsequently tested with students to evaluate its effectiveness. Trial results showed a "very good" response category, reflecting strong engagement and improved learning outcomes. These findings demonstrate the practicality and relevance of the thematic LKPD in enhancing educational quality and student learning experiences. The study underscores the need for continuous innovation in instructional materials to support student-centered learning and foster improved academic performance in integrated Islamic schools.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between the use of wayang (paper puppet) media and students' learning motivation in social studies subjects among fourth-grade students at MIS Al-Imam Klumpang during the 2022/2023 academic year. The research adopts a quantitative approach with a descriptive analytical method as outlined by Suryabrata (2013). The study involved 25 students, consisting of 8 males and 17 females. The independent variable in this study is the use of wayang media, while the dependent variable is students' learning motivation. The research was conducted in one action cycle with three meetings: the first for planning, the second for implementation and observation, and the third for reflection. Data were collected using observation, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis was performed using the Pearson product-moment correlation test. The results indicate a significance value of 0.068, which exceeds the 0.05 threshold, signifying that there is no statistically significant relationship between the use of wayang media and students' learning motivation. These findings suggest that while wayang media can be an engaging tool, further research is needed to explore its effectiveness in different contexts and with alternative methodologies.
