Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Perbedaan kemampuan menulis teks berita antara kelompok siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Group Investigation (GI) dan kelompok siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran ekspositori; (2) Perbedaan kemampuan menulis teks berita antara kelompok siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar tinggi yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran Group Investigation (GI) dan kelompok siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar tinggi yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran ekspositori; (3) Perbedaan kemampuan menulis teks berita antara kelompok siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar rendah yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran Group Investigation (GI) dan kelompok siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar rendah yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran ekspositori; dan (4) Interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan motivasi belajar siswa terhadap kemampuan menulis teks berita. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MTsN 2 Medan dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas VIII sebanyak 48 siswa. Sampelnya adalah semua siswa yang berjumlah 24 siswa pada kelas VIII U1 dan 24 siswa pada kelas VIII U2. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpul data adalah tes kemampuan menulis teks berita dan angket motivasi belajar. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode quasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian faktorial 2x2. Teknik analisis data menggunakan ANAVA pada taraf signifikan α = 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) hasil kemampuan menulis kelompok siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran Group Investigation (GI) lebih baik dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran ekspositori dengan nilai F Hitung=36,675> F tabel = 4,06, (2) hasil kemampuan menulis pada kelompok siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar tinggi yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran Group Investigation (GI) lebih baik jika dibandingkan dengan kelompok siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar tinggi yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran ekspositori dengan nilai Fhitung = 13,02 > Ftabel = 4,06. (3) hasil kemampuan menulis pada kelompok siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar rendah yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran Group Investigation (GI) tidak lebih baik dibandingkan kelompok siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar rendah yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran ekspositori dengan nilai Fhitung 0,66 > Ftabel 2,82, (4) terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan motivasi belajar dalam mempengaruhi kemampuan menulis teks berita siswa dengan nilai Fhitung = 31,69 > Ftabel = 4,06.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the effectiveness of the Discovery Learning model in improving learning outcomes on style material in Class IV at SD Negeri 106156 Klumpang. A quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design was employed. The experimental group consisted of 20 students using Discovery Learning, while the control group included 20 students taught using the lecture method. A 25-item multiple-choice test was used as the instrument to measure learning outcomes. Data were analyzed using the t-test. The post-test results showed that the experimental group had an average score of 81.9, while the control group had an average of 72.2. The t-test result (tcount = 7.726) was greater than ttable (2.10092), indicating a significant difference between the two groups. The improvement in the experimental group's pretest-posttest score was 19.6, compared to 9.4 in the control group. These findings suggest that the Discovery Learning model is more effective in enhancing students' learning outcomes than the lecture method.

Abstract

This study investigated the effect of the Think Pair and Share cooperative learning model on the science learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at Marindal II Elementary School, North Sumatra. The research, using an experimental method, involved 53 students divided into two groups: the experimental group applied the Think Pair and Share model, while the control group used conventional methods. Data were collected through pretest and posttest scores, as well as non-test observations, including teacher performance and student activity. Results showed that the experimental group achieved higher learning outcomes, with an average score of 84.40, compared to 69.46 in the control group. The study concluded that the Think Pair and Share model significantly improved student science learning outcomes. It is recommended that this model be adopted by teachers to enhance student engagement and performance.

Abstract

This study employed a True-Experimental Design involving all fourth-grade students at SDN 101729 Kampung Lalang, with a total of 56 participants, divided into an experimental group and a control group, each consisting of 29 students. The data collection method used was a performance test, which was validated through a rater reliability test and content validation. The hypothesis was tested using the independent sample t-test. The research findings indicate that the pretest data from both the experimental and control groups were normally distributed and homogeneous. The t-value for the pretest was smaller than the t-table (0.036 < 0.05), indicating that there was no significant difference between the two groups before the intervention. However, the posttest results showed that the t-calculated value (0.729 > 0.05) was higher than the t-table, indicating a significant effect of the Cooperative Script Model on students' learning interest. The findings suggest that the Cooperative Script Model is more effective in enhancing learning interest compared to conventional methods. This model is recommended for further implementation in other subjects to increase student engagement.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between parental attention and mathematics learning outcomes in fifth-grade students at SDN 106788 Purwodadi Medan Sunggal. This research uses a quantitative approach with a total sample of 17 students, selected through total random sampling. The study focuses on the variables of parental attention and mathematics learning outcomes. Data were collected using questionnaires and tests. The validity of the instruments was assessed using the Product Moment formula, and reliability was tested using the Alpha formula. Descriptive analysis was used to present the data in tables, while parametric analysis employed product moment correlation techniques. The results indicate that there is a positive and significant relationship between parental attention and mathematics learning outcomes, as shown by the correlation coefficient (r_count > r_table = 0.555 > 0.227). Thus, it can be concluded that parental attention plays a significant role in improving the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth-grade students.

Abstract

This study employs an experimental research design to determine the effect of using the Game-Based Learning model on students' learning outcomes in spatial building materials. The research uses a True-Experimental Design with a Posttest Only Control Group Design approach. The population includes all fifth-grade students from SDN 060799 Medan Labuhan, consisting of two classes, Class V A and Class V B. Sampling was conducted using a simple random sampling technique. The results show that the average posttest score in the experimental group, which used the Game-Based Learning model, was 76, while the control group scored 70.95. Hypothesis testing using an independent sample t-test yielded a t-value of 2.072, which is greater than the critical value of t-table (1.684), with a significance level of 0.044 (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that the Game-Based Learning model has a significantly greater impact on student learning outcomes compared to conventional methods.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the science learning outcomes of students Team Games Tournament.This type of research is classroom action research. The subjects of this study were students of class V Negeri 101855 Kutalimbaru, totaling 28 students, consisting of 13 male students and 15 female students. Researchers used an action research model from Kemmis and Taggart. This research was conducted in two cycles of action. In the first cycle, it was conducted in one meeting, while in the second cycle, it was conducted in two meetings. In each cycle, there are planning, implementation, observation and reflection activities. The instruments used were observation sheets and tests. Observation data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively while test results were analyzed descriptively quantitative percentage.The results of the first cycle research showed that the percentage of students whose grades were above the KKM had only reached 71.43%, so they still could not achieve the criteria for research success. In cycle II, the steps for applying the Team Games Tournament method to improve student success were carried out. The percentage of student scores above the KKM in cycle II increased to 89.29%. Based on the research results, it can be seen that the guided survey method can improve science learning outcomes.

Abstract

Guru sebagai komponen utama dalam proses pembelajaran memegang peranan penting. Fokus masalah yang diteliti dalam skripsi ini adalah: (1) Bagaimana peran guru sebagai pendidik dalam meningkatkan kedisiplinan peserta didik di MI Swasta Annur Kecamatan Pagar Merbau? dan (2) Bagaimana peran guru sebagai motivator dalam meningkatkan kedisiplinan peserta didik di MI Swasta Annur Kecamatan Pagar Merbau? Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) Untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana peran guru sebagai pendidik dalam meningkatkan kedisiplinan peserta didik di MI Swasta Annur Kecamatan Pagar Merbau dan (2) Untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana peran guru sebagai pendidik dalam meningkatkan kedisiplinan peserta didik. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif, dengan jenis studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif, dengan keabsahan data menggunakan Triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan (1) Peran guru sebagai pendidik dalam meningkatkan kedisiplinan peserta didik di MI Swasta Annur Kecamatan Pagar Merbau, guru melakukan langkah-langkah dengan cara mengembangkan kepribadian dan membina budi pekerti siswa, sehingga dengan langkah-langkah yang telah dilakukan, peran guru sebagai pendidik telah mampu meningkatkan kedisiplinan siswa (2) Peran guru sebagai motivator dalam meningkatkan kedisiplinan siswa dilakukan dengan selalu memberikan motivasi kepada siswa agar selalu berdisiplin.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh yang positif antara kecerdasan emosi terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelasV di SD SDN 106837 Melati II. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang positif antara kecerdasan emosi terhadap prestasi belajar matematika. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari grafik regresi bahwa titik-titik yang tersebar mendekati garis regresi dan searah miring dengan garis regresi. Nilai koefisien determinasi (r2) yang diperoleh sebesar 0,269 yang menandakan bahwa faktor kecerdasan emosi memberikanpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar matematika sebesar 26,9%, selebihnya 73,1% dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain. Hasil analisis regresi diperoleh nilai konstan sebesar 41,980, koefisien regresi untuk variabel kecerdasan emosi sebesar 0,396, sehingga diperoleh persamaan regresi sederhana Y = 41,980+0,396X.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the jigsaw learning method on the learning interest of fifth-grade students at SDN 101900 Lubuk Pakam. The primary issue addressed in this research is the low student engagement, which necessitates innovative teaching methods to enhance learning interest. A qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires completed by both students and teachers. The findings reveal that the implementation of the jigsaw method significantly improved students' learning interest. This is evidenced by an average student score of 78.4% (categorized as good) and a teacher score of 3.22%, equivalent to 80% (good). The jigsaw method was deemed effective as it fosters active interaction among students and boosts learning motivation. The study concludes that this method serves as a viable instructional strategy to enhance student engagement and interest, particularly at the elementary school level.
