Abstract

Proses akulturasi menghasilkan beberapa sistem dan seni yang sampai saat ini masih ada dan dilakukan oleh beberapa masyarakat Indonesia, salah satunya Payas Agung Ningrat Buleleng di Puri Kanginan Singaraja. Busana Payas Agung Ningrat Buleleng memiliki nilai sejarah akulturasi dan nilai-nilai estetika yang membentuknya, sehingga busana ini mampu menunjukkan identitas budaya khas Kabupaten Buleleng. Berdasarkan fenomena tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis proses akulturasi, nilai-nilai estetika dan makna dalam busana Payas Agung Ningrat Buleleng di Puri Kanginan Singaraja. Adapun rumusan masalah sebagai berikut : (1) Bagaimana proses akulturasi dalam busana Payas Agung Ningrat Buleleng di Puri Kanginan Singaraja?; (2) Bagaimana nilai-nilai estetika dalam busana Payas Agung Ningrat Buleleng di Puri Kanginan Singaraja?; (3) Bagaimana makna dalam busana Payas Agung Ningrat Buleleng di Puri Kanginan Singaraja?. Penulisan ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualiatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa kepustakaan, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teori yang mendukung penelitian ini yaitu teori akulturasi, estetika, dan semiotika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan jawaban sebagai berikut : (1) Proses akulturasi terjadi karena adanya faktor pendorong yaitu kontak langsung (berupa perjalanan, penaklukan wilayah, pedagangan) dan perubahan; (2) Nilai-nilai estetika dalam busana Payas Agung Ningrat Buleleng di Puri Kanginan Singaraja tersusun dari garis-garis dan warna yang memiliki makna (bentuk bermakna), fungsi busana Payas Agung Ningrat Buleleng di Puri Kanginan Singaraja yaitu sebagai alat penunjang komunikasi (menunjukkan identitas khas Buleleng) dan alat memperindah; (3) Makna dalam busana Payas Agung Ningrat Buleleng di Puri Kanginan Singaraja mengandung makna denotasi dan konotasi yang kemudian makna konotasi tersebut berkembang menjadi mitos di masyarakat Buleleng.

Abstract

Para disabilitas dalam konteks sebagai warga negara Indonesia sudah sepantasnya mendapatkan perlakuan khusus, sehingga hak-haknya dapat dinikmati. Selaras dengan kesamaan hak untuk memperoleh pendidikan sebagai mana diamanatkan dalam amandeman kedua UUD 1945, maka pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk berkontribusi dengan memberi pengetahuan sesuai dengan perkembangan teknologi kekinian, yakni berupa pelatihan implementasi pengetahuan komputer desain dan meracang produk kriya. Kegiatan ini dilakukan sebagai solusi dari salah satu masalah yang dihadapi oleh Yayasan Bunga Bali dalam membina para disabilitas, yakni masalah terkait teori merancang produk kriya dan komputer desain. Kompetensi para penyandang disabilitas dalam menggunakan komputer desain masih kurang. Selama ini mereka hanya membuat desain dengan mencontoh desain yang sudah ada dan menggambar secara manual dengan tangan. Metode pelatihan yang digunakan adalah: ceramah, demontrasi, dan partisipasi. Pelatihan tersebut menghasilkan peningkatan yang signifikan. Pada awalnya mereka hanya mengetahui komputer, namun belum bisa mengoperasikan komputer desain. Hal ini dapat diketahui dari nilai rerata hasil pre-test, yakni sebesar 6,3 termasuk predikat cukup. Setelah pelatihan mereka dapat mengtahui teori merancang dan dapat menghasilkan beberapa gambar AutoCAD dan CorelDraw. Simpulan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah memberi dampak positif bagi para disabilitas dan dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu bekal pengetahuan dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat.

Abstract

Mask are one of the cultural heritages of people in various part of the world who have a mask culture that use different methods and functions according to local custom. In society, various mask are used, such as being used to support a scared belief or spirituality and used as a support for a theatrical performance as well as commodity goods that are profane. Like wish, there are various types of mask with various characters. Such as hard characters of fierce, sweet, cute and so on, this condition is very interesting to be explore and used as a source of inspiration in the creation of craft products. Condisering the mask that are starting to get less attention by the younger generation at this time so that these mask are not eroded by the current technology, in addition, he also wants to preserve the existence of mask so that in the future that arts will be more awake than these mask. This became the basic idea in creating works for the needs of formal meeting room that apply topeng manis as decorations. The creation process has gone through various stages which can describe an ordely and well structured creation process. That are three stage that are carried out, namely : 1. Exploration here is through the exploration stage to find ideas, observations, interviews, surveys, data colletion and references that will be used as the basis for designing or making desaign; 2. The desaign is made from the result of data acquisition and is formulated in a single unit in the form of a sketch; 3. The embodiment is carried out from the result of the selected sketches and will be transferred to the media so that works that have gone through various processes and techniques such as assembly formation and finishing are realized The creation of this works is used as a product for the needs of a formal meeting room by applying a topeng manis as the creation of the works. Meeting room as a place to accommodate meeting activities that discuss general problems or inspiration about something interesting.

Abstract

Preservation and protection require real action from all of us, therefore the author chooses the general concept carried by the Terramic Bali company, namely the Bhumi concept. By studying from upstream to downstream in running a company, the author hopes to be able to replicate it as a form of independent work opportunity. Every design that carries the Bhumi concept is accompanied by a design lighter idea. The starting idea for the founding of the Terramic Bali company was ancient irrigation. Adopting the creation method from Gustami Sp, namely: 1) Exploration, 2) Design, and 3) Embodiment, it can be seen that the result of the creation is a company engaged in ceramic crafts with distinctive branding. The Business Model Canvas (BMC) of the Terramic Bali company is a simulation of the author's company in an internship program at the Tri Surya Keramik company. The Tri Surya Keramik company is concerned with a digital marketing system as a surefire solution to the Covid-19 pandemic, one of which is Instagram. The company Terramic Bali produces products based on the Bhumi concept, as a design concept to product embodiment and the concept of Earth Tones color which refers to the company's goal, namely: the Environmental Awareness Movement. The products are named Pengalapan, Jelinjing, Cakangan, and Aungan. Storytelling is a strong asset that is used as a means of promotion and education to customers.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tentang proses transformasi gebyok Kudus sebagai elemen tradisi dan penerapannya pada berbagai konteks. Gebyok Kudus merupakan elemen tradisi Indonesia yang kerap dijumpai pada hunian maupun ruang publik dan telah mengalami penyesuaian dari masa ke masa. Penelitian terdahulu terkait gebyok membahas mengenai ragam hias dan makna, namun kajian mengenai proses transformasi gebyok pada masa lalu dan masa kini belum banyak dibahas. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan hermeneutika dan intertekstualitas untuk memersepsikan objek kajian dan mengkaji transformasi yang terjadi. Telaah lebih lanjut dilakukan terhadap data objek gebyok Kudus lama maupun baru melalui observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara terhadap pemilik rumah, tokoh budaya setempat, dan pelaku industri ukir kayu untuk mengetahui latar belakang sosial budaya perubahan gebyok. Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi proses transformasi dan transposisi gebyok Kudus yang ditunjukkan dengan adanya perubahan wujud, fungsi, makna, dan penempatan. Gebyok Kudus sebagai elemen tradisi yang sarat dengan simbolisme menjadi objek dengan makna yang berbeda secara estetika dan fungsi. Pemahaman ini memperlihatkan evolusi elemen tradisi arsitektur berdasarkan perubahan kebutuhan perancangan dari masa ke masa.   This article explores the transformation process of Kudus gebyok as a traditional element based on hermeneutic and intertextuality. Kudus gebyok is an Indonesian traditional element that commonly found in domestic or public space which have adapted from time to time. Previous studies about gebyok have discussed about the various aesthetic and meanings of gebyok, but there is limited discussion on the transformation of gebyok from the past to the present. This study employs hermeneutics and an intertextual approach to explore gebyok as the object of study and its transformation process. Further exploration is done to new and older gebyok through observation, documentation, and interviews with house owners, local cultural figures, and local wood carving craftsmen to understand about the socio-cultural background of gebyok and its changes. This study identifies the transformation and transposition of Kudus gebyok that is demonstrated through changes in its form, function, meaning, and placements. Kudus gebyok as a traditional element is imbued with symbolism into objects with different meanings in terms of aesthetics and usage. Such understanding demonstrates the evolution of traditional architecture based on changes in design needs from time to time.

Abstract

Augmented reality technology or more popularly known as AR is a technology that implements interactive multimedia concepts. Augmented reality technology is a technology that combines the virtual world with the real world in real-time, through electronic devices such as cameras, sensors and software, augmented reality is able to display virtual objects in both 2D and 3D form in the real world. In this study, it focuses on analyzing the appearance of the interface design or the main menu application user interface by implementing augmented reality technology, with the name of the application, Augmented Reality Baleganjur. The user interface display on the main menu of the Baleganjur Augmented Reality application has design elements that can be translated with different meanings and understandings, depending on the user's point of view. This is the basis of this research, where the appearance of the user interface design on the main menu of the Baleganjur Augmented Reality application has design elements that can lead to different interpretations of meaning and understanding. The purpose of this study is of course to reveal the meaning and understanding of the design elements in the user interface design display of the Baleganjur Augmented Reality application, by conducting an in-depth analysis using Paul Ricoeur's Hermeneutics. As for the results of this study, it can be concluded that researchers as hermeneutics have an important role in interpreting and offering solutions, which can later be used as a reference for repairing or perfecting design elements in the application user interface, so that these design elements can convey meaning and understanding in a comprehensive and detailed manner to users.

Abstract

The research examines three print advertisements released by the non-governmental organization from the United States, "Mom Demand Action for Gun Sense in America," using a qualitative descriptive analysis method through Paul Ricoeur's hermeneutic approach. This study reveals the complexity of the messages contained within, particularly related to the historical context that underpins the creation of these advertisements. Through an understanding of visual structure and cultural context, the research demonstrates how visual symbols such as firearms, books, balls, and toys can be used to convey a strong anti-violence message aimed at garnering public support to advocate for changes in gun policy in the United States. By delving deeper into the intended audience, researchers gain insights into the social and political impact of these advertisements. Through Ricoeur's hermeneutic approach, this study not only unpacks the implicit messages within the advertisements but also explores deeper and contextual meanings, making it a relevant study in the fields of marketing communication and social movement in society.

Abstract

Jewelry is an object used to decorate body parts. The production process of making jewelry in the modern era currently utilizes sophisticated technology such as computer-aided design (CAD) and 3D printing machines. Today, many jewelry companies use (CAD) technology and 3D printing machines to facilitate the process of realizing jewelry, one of which is at PT. Kapit Mas. PT. Kapit Mas uses a 3D printer direct casting machine, namely a 3D printer machine that can be directly waxed with the Uniway brand. Another advantage of the Uniway machine is that this machine can print 3D with a high level of detail. The jewelry creation process at PT. Kapit Mas is carried out using the methods of observation, interviews, literature studies and active participation. The selection of this method is in line with the way the jewelry creation process is carried out at PT. Kapit Mas. The application of very modern technology, namely computer-aided design (CAD) and the Uniway 3D printing machine, makes it easier to make pendant, earrings, rings, charms and earcuff jewelry. In addition, other supporting tools and technologies also make it easier to make jewelry. PT. Kapit Mas uses CAD and 3D printing to simplify the process of jewelry realization, the application of 3D printing direct casting machines greatly facilitates the creation of jewelry samples where jewelry samples can be created in various sizes very quickly and with great precision

Abstract

Draft Saṃskṛti Rakṣaṇa offers a multidimensional approach to preserving traditional culture, which integrates three main elements, namely Kala (Art), Tantra (System or Method), and Adhyayana Mārga (Way of Learning). The synergy between these three elements creates a framework that is systematic, structured and adaptive to changing times, with the aim of strengthening cultural preservation and sustainability. Art, as a medium for cultural expression, not only documents but also celebrates diverse cultural values ​​through various forms of traditional art. Tantra provides the methodological basis necessary to preserve and disseminate cultural elements, including the development of scientifically accessible archives, curricula, and ethnographic techniques. Meanwhile, Adhyayana Mārga emphasized the importance of inclusive and flexible learning methods, accommodating various learning styles and utilizing digital technology in disseminating cultural knowledge. These three elements work synergistically to build a holistic cultural preservation ecosystem, which is not only relevant to the contemporary context but is also able to respond to the challenges of the times, guarantee sustainable preservation, and ensure the transfer of cultural knowledge to future generations. Abstract

Dalam dinamika industri fotografi, Selain kemampuannya dalam mengatasi kondisi pencahayaan minim, lensa prime juga dikenal karena kemampuannya menciptakan efek blur atau bokeh yang mengesankan. Pemahaman mendalam tentang penggunaan lensa prime dalam penciptaan portofolio foto dokumentasi sangatlah penting. Seiring dengan lingkungan industri fotografi yang dinamis, penggunaan lensa prime menjadi tidak hanya sebuah kebutuhan, tetapi juga sebuah keharusan. Tujuan dari penulisan ini adalah (1) mengidentifikasi kemampuan khusus lensa prime dalam menangkap detail pada kondisi minim cahaya untuk meningkatkan kualitas portfolio foto dokumentasi; (2) mengevaluasi kontribusi seni bokeh dari lensa prime dalam meningkatkan kualitas portfolio dokumentasi foto event; (3) menemukan dan mengatasi tantangan utama yang dihadapi dalam penggunaan lensa prime untuk dokumentasi acara guna memaksimalkan keunggulan teknisnya. Metode dilakukan dengan lensa prime dengan efek bokeh dan menghasilkan lima belas karya foto pada kondisi dengan minim cahaya dan momen yang berbeda serta memberikan kontribusi yang substansial terhadap pemahaman penulis mengenai penggunaan lensa prime dalam proses pembuatan portfolio foto event. Kesimpulan yang diambil adalah melalui eksplorasi dan pengalaman dalam magang di WITA MEDIA, telah terbukti bahwa penggunaan lensa prime memiliki peranan penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas dokumentasi acara, terutama dalam kondisi minim cahaya. Lensa prime memiliki kemampuan unggul dalam menangkap detail yang halus dan mempertahankan kejelasan gambar, menghasilkan foto yang lebih tajam dan jernih dibandingkan dengan lensa lain dalam kondisi pencahayaan yang minim.
