Abstract

This study highlights mental health as a global health challenge that requires serious attention, especially among students. The main objective is to examine the relationship between Mental Health Knowledge and Help-Seeking Behavior among psychology students at Nusa Cendana University. Using a quantitative approach, this research employs proportional sampling and two measurement scales: the Adolescents' Mental Health Knowledge Questionnaire to assess mental health knowledge, and the General Help-Seeking Questionnaire to evaluate help-seeking behavior. The data analysis method used is Pearson's product-moment correlation, with the aid of Microsoft Excel and IBM SPSS Statistic 26 software. The results indicate a significant relationship between mental health knowledge and help-seeking behavior, as evidenced by a significance value of 0.000 (below 0.05). The correlation between the two variables is 0.435, which indicates a moderate and positive correlation. This means that the lower the mental health knowledge, the lower the help-seeking behavior. The study emphasizes the importance of students' proactive role in increasing their awareness of mental health. Students are encouraged to seek information from credible sources, such as books, scientific articles, seminars, and training sessions. Additionally, they are advised to engage in discussions with lecturers or supervisors, as well as participate in mental health-related organizations to broaden their knowledge. Sharing knowledge through discussions with peers is also expected to help strengthen their understanding of mental health.

Abstract

This study explores the theoretical framework of social support and resilience among survivors of the Lewotobi Laki-Laki volcanic eruption. Given the psychological and emotional challenges faced by survivors in the aftermath of a disaster, social support plays a vital role in recovery. The proposed hypothesis suggests that stronger social support from sources such as family, friends, and the community enhances resilience. A quantitative method was employed through surveys to assess both the level of social support received and the strength of the survivors. The results indicate a positive correlation between social support and resilience; survivors who received greater support demonstrated higher levels of resilience. These findings underscore the significance of community-based support systems in facilitating individuals' recovery from traumatic experiences and rebuilding their lives after natural disasters.

Abstract

The background of the problem in this study is that SKO NTT athletes are less confident in their potential or in this case have low self-efficacy, which causes their motivation to achieve to decrease. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and achievement motivation in Shorinji Kempo athletes at Flobamorata Kupang Sports Excellence High School. Self-afficacy is an individual's belief in their ability to complete tasks and face challenges, while achievement motivation is an internal drive to achieve success and excellence in the field of sports. This study used a quantitative approach. The research sample consisted of 50 athletes, both male and female. The instruments used were the Physical Self-afficacy Scale (PSE) questionnaire to measure self-afficacy and the achievement motivation scale. Data analysis was conducted with linearity test and determination test. The results of the linearity test showed that there was a significant relationship between self-efficacy and achievement motivation (p < 0.001), which means that the relationship between the two is linear. Furthermore, the determination test shows an R square value of 0.758, which means that 75.8% of the achievement motivation variable is influenced by self-efficacy, while the remaining 24.2% is influenced by other factors outside this study. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the higher the self-efficacy of an athlete, the higher the achievement motivation. It is recommended that coaches and schools provide a reward system and conduct regular evaluations of progress and failure as a means of increasing athletes' self-efficacy and achievement motivation.
