Abstract

This study aims to improve students' listening skills through the Think-Pair-Share (TPS) learning model on short story learning materials for class XI Baik SMAN 1 Pangkep. Students' short story listening skills are still very low because students are less interested in learning and do not understand the intrinsic and extrinsic elements in more depth in short stories. The use of models and media that are less interesting makes students bored. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which aims to improve the quality or problem solving in the subjects studied and observe the level of success or consequences of their actions, to then receive additional actions which are improvements to the action. In the pre-cycle, the average student score was 45 and 4 students or 11% achieved the KKM. In cycle 1, the average student score was 64 and 10 students or 28% achieved the KKM. The average student score in cycle 2 increased by 81 and 33 students or 92% achieved the KKM. Based on the results of the research and discussion above, it can be concluded that the use of the Think-Pair-Share model can improve the listening skills of grade XI Baik students of SMAN 1 Pangkep. Research data conducted during the pre-cycle stage to cycle 2 showed different results. Each cycle showed an increase in student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' speaking skills through the Student Facilitator And Explaining learning model on descriptive text learning materials for class XI IPA 2 students of SMA Negeri 1 Pare-pare. Students' speaking skills are still lacking because students are still not confident when speaking in class. The use of less interesting models can also make students bored in receiving learning materials. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out in the form of a cycle. Each cycle has four stages, namely, the planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages. The subjects in the study were 36 students of class XI IPA 2 at SMA Negeri 1 Pare-pare. In the process of learning to speak using the Student Facilitator And Explaining model in learning speaking skills has been successful. This is evidenced by the average value of student observations which increased, namely in cycle 1 the first meeting with a percentage of 42% then increased in the second meeting with a percentage of 50%. In cycle 2 the first meeting became 58% and in the second meeting of cycle 2 became 72% with a very good category. The results of the study on students' speaking ability showed an increase with the success indicator that must be achieved, namely 75% of students who get a Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) score of 75. The learning outcomes in cycle I were with a percentage result of 44% or an average result of 73, different from cycle II which experienced more effective changes, namely with a percentage result of 78% or an average result of 83. In cycle II, students were more enthusiastic in participating in the learning.

Abstract

Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Faculty of Letters, Indonesian Muslim University. (Supervised by Nurmiah Muin and Andi Puspitasari. This research aims to improve student learning outcomes. Using the Synectic Model in learning can improve students' writing abilities as expected for Class XI IPA 5 SMA 2 Barru students. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK). Classroom action research aims to improve the quality or solve problems in the subjects studied by observing the level of success or consequences of their actions, to then receive additional actions which are improvements to actions or adjustments to conditions and situations in order to achieve better results. The average student score was 64 and 4 people reached the KKM or 12%. In cycle I the average score of students was 75,73 and 11 people reached the KKM or 32%. The average score of students in the second cycle increased by 83,14 and reached KKM was 31 students or 92%. Based on the results of the research and discussion above, it can be concluded that Opinion Writing Skills Using the Synectic Model can improve the learning outcomes of opinion writing for XI IPA 5 students at SMA Negeri 2 Barru. From research data conducted during the pre-cycle stage to cycle 2, we noticed different results. Where each cycle pays attention to student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan membaca siswa di kelas X1 SMA Negeri 3 Tana Toraja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil peningkatan keterampilan membaca teks biografi dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran inquiry pada siswa kelas X1 SMA Negeri 3 Tana Toraja. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Instrumen penelitian ini yaitu lembar observasi, tes/tugas, dan dokumentasi. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis data deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar dalam keterampilan membaca teks biografi dengan penggunaan model pembelajaran inquiry pada setiap siklus. Pada siklus I persentase hasil belajar siswa dengan rata-rata 78. Nilai rata-rata siswa pada siklus 2 meningkat sebanyak dengan rata-rata 82. Dari data penelitian yang telah dilakukan pada siklus I dan siklus II menunjukkan sikap yang berbeda-beda pada setiap siklus.Dimana saat dilakukan tindakan pada siklus II siswa berpartisipasi aktif dan antusiasme dalam proses pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian,maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran inquiry dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membaca siswa kelas X1 SMA Negeri 3 Tana Toraja.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the improvement in learning to read anecdotal texts using the PQRST (Preview, Question, Read, Summerize, Test) method for class X IPS 2 students at SMAN 11 Pinrang. This research is classroom action research (PTK), using the Kemmis and Taggart model. The data for this research are observation sheets and test sheets sourced from 22 students of class X IPS 2 SMAN 11 Pinrang. In the research, this was obtained based on observations of activities and the results of students' assignment scores in learning to read anecdotal texts. The data analysis techniques used are qualitative and quantitative. Based on the results of pre-cycle data analysis, the average score was 59, while in cycle I it was found that the results of observations of student learning activities obtained an active achievement of 79%, while in cycle II the student's active achievement was 88%. The result of learning to read anecdotal texts using the PQRST method in cycle I obtained an average score of 64%. Cycle II in the observation activities of meeting 1 showed that student activity in cycle I obtained an achievement of 98%, while in meeting 2 they obtained an achievement of 98%, while the value of learning results from reading anecdote texts in cycle II obtained an average of 78%. Therefore, it can be concluded that The application of the PQRST method in learning to read anecdotal texts in class X SMAN 11 Pinrang improves student learning outcomes in class.Keywords: PQRST method (Preview, Question, Read, Summerize, Test), Reading Anecdotal TextPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan pembelajaran membaca teks anekdot menggunakan metode PQRST (Preview, Question, Read, Summerize, Test) siswa kelas X IPS 2 SMAN 11 Pinrang. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK), menggunakan model Kemmis and Taggart. Data penelitian ini adalalah lembar observasi dan lembar tes yang bersumber dari siswa kelas X IPS 2 SMAN 11 Pinrang yang berjumlah 22 orang. Dalam penelitian di peroleh berdasarkan observasi aktifitas dan hasil nilai tugas siswa dalam pembelajaran membaca teks anekdot. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data pra-siklus memperoleh nilai rata-rata yaitu 59, sedangkan pada siklus I diketahui hasil observasi aktifitas belajar siswa memperoleh prestasi keaktifan yaitu 79%, sedangkan pada siklus II prestasi keaktifan siswa yaitu 88%. Nilai hasil pembelajaran membaca teks anekdot menggunakan metode PQRST siklus I memperoleh nilai rata-rata 64%. Siklus II pada kegiatan observasi pertemuan 1 menunjukkan bahwa keaktifan siswa pada pertemuan 1 memperoleh prestasi 97%, sedangkan pada pertemuan 2 memperoleh prestasi 98%, sedangkan nilai hasil pembelajaran membaca teks anekdot siklus II memperoleh hasil rata-rata 78%. Oleh karena itu, dapat di simpulkan bahwa penerapan metode PQRST dalam pembelajara membaca teks anekdot pada siswa kelas X SMAN 11 Pinrang meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa di kelas X IPS 2 SMAN 11 Pinrang.Kata kunci:Metode PQRST (Preview, Question, Read, Summerize, Test), Membaca Teks Anekdot

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan guna mendeskripsikan proses pemakaian metode cerita berantai untuk mengembangkan keterampilan berbicara murid kelas XI 2 SMA Negeri 4 Pinrang dan untuk mendapat perolehan keterampilan berbicara bermetode cerita berantai. Penelitian ini berjenis penelitian tindakan kelas. Sumber data dipenelitian ini menggunakan metode Cerita Berantai, secara mengkalkulasi total murid dikelas sejumlah 25 siswa, laki-laki sejumlah 10 serta perempuan sejumlah 16 murid. Penelitian ini memakai teknik tes, observasi, serta dokumentasi. Sesudah didapati, data yang di butuhkan lalu di analisis menggunakan teknik kuantitatif serta deskriptif. Perolehan penelitian disiklus I menunjukkan nilai pembelajaran murid sejumlah 26% serta di siklus II sejumlah 92%. Kesimpulannya adalah penggunaan metode cerita berantai pada keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas XI dapat dikatakan berhasil dan memberikan peningkatan pada hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Thesis Department of Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Faculty of Sastra, Indonesian Muslim University. Supervised by Dr. Hj. Nurmiah Muin, SE., M.Pd, as supervisor I and Andi Puspitasari, S.Pd., M.Pd, as supervisor II. This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of the readability level of Indonesian subject matter on student learning outcomes in class XI IPS 3 MAN Malakaji Gowa. This study uses ex post facto with a comparative causal research type. The population used in this study consisted of students of class XI IPS 3 MAN Malakaji Gowa while the sample was 28 students of class XI IPS 3 MAN Malakaji Gowa. Data collection techniques are observation sheets, tests, interviews, and documents. The research instrument uses documentation and interviews. The data analysis technique used the linca regression analysis technique. The results of the study can be concluded that the learning outcomes of the 28 students who were obtained during the learning process were 6 students whose grades did not reach the KKM score, while those who obtained moderate scores were 4 students and while those who received high scores were 14 students. So it can be concluded that the level of legibility of the subject matter has an effect on student learning outcomes. Based on the results of the t-test, the sig value is 0.0035 > 0.05 while the t-value is -0.982 <2.055 the t-table value, meaning that X has no effect on Y, it can be concluded that the hypothesis is rejected or the level of readability of Indonesian subject matter has no effect on the results student learning.

Abstract

This research discusses the process and improvement of descriptive text writing skills among Grade XI Accounting students at SMKN 2 Buton Tengah through the use of picture series media. The objective of this study is to improve students’ writing performance and their engagement during the learning process. This study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) carried out in two cycles. The data analysis techniques used were descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods. The results showed that student activeness in the first cycle reached 84% in the first meeting and increased to 85% in the second. In the second cycle, activeness further increased to 95%. The students’ average writing score in the pre-cycle was 55.54 with a mastery rate of only 14%. In the first cycle, the average score improved to 72.47 with 62% mastery, and in the second cycle, it rose to 85.34 with 90% mastery. Based on these results, it is concluded that picture series media are effective in improving both students’ descriptive writing skills and their classroom engagement.
