Abstract

Knowledge can be shared in the form of teaching or training. The training was given to the Santa Maria 1 Cirebon High School, online during the current Covid-19 pandemic. The training is given to meet the needs of schools that want to add to the teaching materials that have been given in the field of programming to students, develop students' abilities in logic, think systematically and help students understand simple programming. To help meet the needs of the school, training was provided by Maranatha Christian University, especially the Information Technology Faculty, to class X students, by providing training to make online games using zoom. Game making training given to students, using the scratch application. The scratch application is used to support the fulfillment of school needs, introduce applications that can be easily learned by students and share knowledge possessed by lecturers of the Faculty of Information Technology. At the end of the training, students can follow the training well and can create games using the scratch application.

Abstract

Bebras Challenge is a competition for elementary to high school students to educate informatics and computational thinking, followed by sixty countries all over the world. Bebras Indonesia Community in coordination with the International Bebras Committee holds the challenge yearly. Indonesia has participated in the Bebras Challenge since 2016. Faculty of Information Technology Maranatha Christian University as a Bebras Bureau has also been involved in the challenge since 2016. To prepare students for Bebras Challenge, Maranatha Bebras Bureau holds a teacher workshop yearly. The Teacher Workshop supports teachers to strengthen students in practicing Bebras tasks. Data on students who participated in the Bebras Challenge at Maranatha Bebras Bureau indicates increasing numbers from 2016 until 2020. This paper describes a service learning for mentoring teachers and students in the Bebras Challenge, which was held in the pandemic year 2020. Teacher mentoring was using a service learning approach, where the lecturers provided training to the teachers and then the teachers would share their knowledge back to their students. There were advantages and disadvantages of the execution during the pandemic. Although in a distance learning condition, teachers and students were still enthusiastic to participate in Bebras Challenge. The number of students who followed the 2020 Bebras Challenge nearly five times compared to 2019 in the Maranatha Bebras Bureau. The scores of elementary school students who followed the challenge showed very good results. On the other side, the results of junior and senior high school students were not as good as the scores of elementary school students.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to find out whether the use of LRD Strategy can improve reading comprehension of grade ten students particularly in descriptive text. This researcher applied a quasi-experimental research design. The population of this research was grade ten students of SMK Negeri 6 Palu which consist of 108 students. The sample of this research was 36 students of class X TKJ 2 and considered as the experimental class while 36 students of class X TKJ 3 as the control class. The sample was selected using cluster random sampling technique. The technique of data collection was test that includes pre-test and post-test. While the mean score of pre-test in experimental class was about 49.71, the control class is 58.09. In post-test, experimental class got 64.76. On the other hand, the control class got 61.13. By applying 0.05 level of significance and 28 degree of freedom (df), as seen tha table that the value of t-counted is (2.12) and t-table is (1.703). The t-counted value is higher than t-table, which means that the research hypothesis is accepted. Therefore, the use of LRD Strategy can improve students’ reading comprehension in descriptive text.

Abstract

Program Gerakan Pandai yang digagas oleh Bebras Indonesia dengan dukungan Google bertujuan untuk membuat guru mulai menjadi guru penggerak dalam menyemaikan dan menumbuh-kembangkan kemampuan Computational Thinking (CT). Melalui gerakan PANDAI ini, diharapkan guru mengenal CT dan memperkenalkan CT kepada para siswa, sehingga siswa dapat mengembangkan kemampuan  berpikir komputasional yang bersifat kritis dan kreatif. Biro Bebras Maranatha menjalankan program Gerakan Pandai dalam dua batch yang dimulai pada bulan September 2020 sampai dengan Desember 2021. Pelatihan guru  batch1 diikuti oleh 148 guru, sedangkan batch2 diikuti 394 guru. Indikator guru yang berhasil menerapkan kemampuan CT adalah guru yang melaksanakan  paling sedikit 4 sesi microteaching dalam dua semester. Guru yang tuntas melakukan microteaching untuk batch1 ada 110 orang (74%), dan batch2 ada 184 guru (47%), dengan persentase rata-rata 60.5% untuk seluruh batch.

Abstract

Konsep computational thinking (CT) diperlukan dalam dunia digital saat ini agar setiap orang dapat belajar dan bekerja secara cerdas. Untuk membangun kembali interaksi antar guru dan siswa yang terkendala pada saat pandemi Covid 19, maka interaksi yang efektif antar guru dan siswa dalam pembelajaran pasca pandemi dapat dilakukan dengan menerapkan CT dalam pembelajaran.  Pelatihan CT untuk guru-guru SDK 6 BPK Penabur dilakukan dengan tujuan agar setiap guru dapat menerapkan konsep CT dan aktivitas unplugged dalam pembelajaran yang bersifat interaktif. Pelatihan guru yang dilaksanakan secara luring pada 15 Maret 2024 dan 22 Maret 2024, diikuti oleh 30 orang peserta. Setelah materi konsep CT, Bebras task, dan aktivitas unplugged disampaikan, guru diberi tugas kelompok untuk membuat rencana penerapan CT dalam mata pelajaran serta membuat rencana aktivitas unplugged untuk membantu siswa dalam menerapkan CT dalam persoalan sehari-hari. Hasil dari tugas kelompok yang dibuat peserta menunjukkan nilai rata-rata sangat baik dalam penerapan CT dan aktivitas unplugged. Sebagian besar peserta berpendapat penerapan CT sangat bermanfaat untuk diterapkan dalam pembelajaran di tingkat sekolah dasar untuk melatih anak berpikir kritis dan kreatif dalam memecahkan masalah di kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

This article aim to provide an understanding to all readers that it is necessary to know the development of assessment tool in English Language Teaching (ELT), especially in the case of using of google classroom in the current year of covid-19 pandemic. It presents the advantages of google form, the ways to upset google form and the empirical studis on google form as an assessment tool in ELT. This article is made in the form of a study of documents and literatures whose understanding of knowledge is used as an analysis. In view of this, the Indonesian teachers should be carefully designed the worksheet in google form, so it can be function to do assessment. However, it should not use completly to replace the traditional methods.

Abstract

Sehubungan dengan merebaknya wabah PMK pada hewan ternak berkuku genap di Indonesia, masyarakat diharuskan mengetahui gejala, cara penyebaran dan penanganannya guna menekan penyebaran. Berdasarkan masalah bahwa sebagian besar masyarakat Campaga belum mengetahui informasi mengenai PMK. Maka terciptalah gagasan sosialisasi wabah PMK (Penyakit Mulut dan Kuku) pada hewan ternak di Kelurahan Campaga, Kecamatan Tompobulu, Kabupaten Bantaeng. Tujuan dari program kerja ini adalah untuk memberikan edukasi kepada peternak dan masyarakat mengenai peta sebaran, gejala, cara penularan dan pengendalian wabah PMK pada ternak. Adapun manfaatnya adalah peternak maupun masyarakat yang hadir dapat teredukasi mengenai gejala, cara penyebaran dan penanganan ternak yang terjangkit PMK maupun ternak sehat sehingga dapat menekan penyebaran wabah PMK di Indonesia. Waktu pelaksanaan program kerja yakni hari kamis, 04 agustus 2022 di Kantor Kelurahan Campaga. Proses pelaksanaan sosialisasi dimulai dengan pemaparan materi dan pemutaran video terkait PMK. Khalayak sasaran sosialisasi adalah peternak dan masyakat Campaga dengan metode evaluasi berupa antusias khalayak pada sesi diskusi. Berdasarkan observasi yang diperoleh mulai dari persiapan hingga selesainya sosialisasi dilaksanakan dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa kegiatan sosialisasi ini berjalan dengan lancar serta masyarakat di Kelurahan Campaga yang hadir di kegiatan sosialisasi telah teredukasi mengenai gejala, cara penularan dan pengendalian wabah PMK (Penyakit Mulut dan Kuku) pada ternak.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kurang terciptanya daya tarik peserta didi pada pembelajaran tematik. Hal tersebut diketahui dari hasil wawancara guru kelas V, bahwa pendidik hanya memanfaatkan sumber dan media pembelajaran yang minim berupa buku paket dan media sederhana. Maka dari itu diperlukan pengembangan media pembelajaran yang dapat menumbuhkan daya tarik peserta didik yaitu berupa media visual yang kreatif dan inovatif. Media thematic spinning wheel merupakan media pembelajaran edukasi yang dapat memacu peserta didik terlibat aktif dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini berjenis Reseacrch and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Seubjek penelitian yang terlibat antara lain validator ahli materi, ahli media, dan ahli bahasa serta respon peserta didik dan guru. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengetahui kelayakan menggunakan skala likert dengan kategori yang disusun dalam bentuk checklist. Analisis data yang dihasilkan berupa data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Berdasarkan analisis kevalidan, media pembelajaran thematic spinning wheel dapat dikategorikan sangat valid. Hasil persentase media pembelajaran dari ahli media 98%, hasil persentasi dari ahli materi 95% dan hasil persentasi dari ahli bahasa 98%. Hasil uji coba respon peserta didik diperoleh persentase 90% dengan kategori sangat praktis untuk digunakan pada proses pembelajaran temaki sedangkan dari respon guru diperoleh persentase 96% dengan kategori sangat praktis untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the service quality of Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) in Cirebon on the level of customer satisfaction. The study was conducted through an observational interview. The interviews were conducted to get first-hand views and experiences from RRI customers regarding the quality of service they received and their satisfaction level. It was found that aspects such as broadcast program quality, sound quality, staff friendliness, and ease of access to information were the main factors that contributed to customer satisfaction, which shows that the high quality of services provided by the radio station will increase customers' satisfaction. This study can be used as a theoretical foundation for further research in this area and a reference for other broadcasting organizations interested in improving their customer experience. It can also enrich the literature on service quality management and customer satisfaction in the media and communication sectors.

Abstract

Student's reactions to the adult phase can be diverse. The sheer number of choices that come from the external environment and the complexity of choosing the best one often create pressure. The purpose of this study is to determine the quarter-life crisis (QLC) in final-year students at UKI Toraja and reveal the factors that trigger the emergence of the condition. This research is descriptive and quantitative. The subjects of his research were final year students starting from semester 6 which amounted to 99 people. The results showed that the categorization of Quarter Life Crisis in final year students of UKI Toraja, is as follows: as many as 15 (15.15%) students fall into the high category, 82 (82.83%) students fall into the medium category, and 2 (2.02%) are in the low category. Through the calculation of the average score of each aspect of measurement achievement, the factors causing QLC were identified sequentially from the highest to the lowest aspects, namely aspect 7 (disconnection), aspect 3 (feeling anxious), aspect 1 (anxiety in making decisions), aspect 5 (negative self-assessment), aspect 6 (being stuck in a difficult situation), aspect 4 (depressed), and aspect 2 (worrying in interpersonal relationships).
