Abstract

This research aims to find out the influence of demonstration learning method (X) on learning motivation (Y1) and working skills (Y2) of the students at the hospitality and tourism services major. This research is using the quantitative approach with the experiment research. The research design on this research is using the one group pre test – post test design. The subjects of this research are all of the 12th grade students at Permahisa vocational school. This research is using observation and questionnaire data collecting technique. The questionnaire is divided into two parts, pretest and posttest. The instruments in this research is the validity and reliability test. The prerequisite test in this research is using the paired sample t-test. This fact could be proven from the paired sample t-test result. It showed that based on the pair 1 output, the value of t was at 50.454>2.086 (t-table) and sig.(2-tailed) was at 0.000<0.05 for the students’ learning motivation and the value of t was at 22.704>2.086 (t-table) and sig.(2-tailed) was at 0.000<0.05 for the students’ working skills. In conclusion, it could be said that there was a significant influence of the demonstration learning method on students’ learning motivation and working skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media pembelajaran Google Classroom dan Laboratorium terhadap pemahaman dan kemandirian siswa pada mata pelajaran kimia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu analitik kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian Quasi Eksperimental Design. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrument tes berupa soal pemahaman dan instrument non tes berupa angket kemandirian siswa. Populasi pada penelitian ini siswa kelas X di SMKN 2 Sampang yang berjumlah 180 Siswa dari 6 kelas, sedangkan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X-A keseluruhan berjumlah 20 siswa dengan media pembelajaran Google Classroom dan kelas X-B dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 20 dengan media pembelajaran Laboratorium. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) Terdapat perbedaan pemahaman siswa menggunakam media pembelajaran Google Classroom dan Laboratorium yang dibuktikan dengan uji Independent Sample T-test, diperoleh rata-rata nilai posttest Google Classroom sebesar 77,60 dan posttest Laboratorium sebesar 84,00. 2) Terdapat perbedaan kemandirian siswa menggunakam media pembelajaran Google Classroom dan Laboratorium yang dibuktikan dengan uji Independent Sample T-test, diperoleh rata-rata nilai angket Google Classroom sebesar 58,75 dan Laboratorium sebesar 61,65

Abstract

This article discusses Siddharta's journey in finding a teacher through long twists and turns, joys and sorrows, praise and trials one after another does not discourage him because of his great love and love for the Divine. Siddharta who is intelligent and has a perfect physical form and attitude, gets affection from his parents and is about to be dissatisfied and satisfied. His heart still has an empty space for Divine love. The figures and the environment in Siddharta as teachers, whatever comes from them, they can always learn. The protagonists move with flexible, balanced sentences, not only in everyday discourse and textual discourse. The figures with beautiful movements, so a lot of spiritual development. The characters who get control of the environment they are in. No coincidence is coincidence, making this novel appear as a profound reflection.

Abstract

By using the Team Games Tournament learning model, it is hoped that learning activities will be able to have a positive impact on cooperation and physical fitness of students in elementary schools. Thus, researchers are interested in examining the influence of the Team Games Tournament learning model on student cooperation and fitness. The objectives of this research include: 1) knowing the influence of the Team Games Tournament Learning Model on Student Collaboration in Class III Volleyball Games at UPTD SDN Ujung Piring Bangkalan, and 2) knowing the influence of the Team Games Tournament Learning Model on Students' Physical Fitness in Class III Volleyball Games UPTD SDN Ujung Piring Bangkalan. This research is quantitative research and uses an experimental research design. The instruments used to collect data were student cooperation and physical fitness questionnaire sheets. The research data was analyzed using the paired sample t test analysis technique and produced research conclusions, namely: 1) There is an influence of the Team Games Tournament learning model on student collaboration in class III volleyball games at UPTD SDN Ujung Piring Bangkalan, and 2) There is an influence of the Team Games learning model Tournament on Students' Physical Fitness in Class III Volleyball Games at UPTD SDN Ujung Piring Bangkalan.

Abstract

This study examines the integration of character education values in the Indonesian legend Mount Lewotobi from East Flores, East Nusa Tenggara. Character education is a fundamental aspect of human development, shaping morals and personalities to create more humane individuals, and local legends serve as valuable mediums for imparting ethical lessons. Employing a qualitative approach, this research utilized documentation as the primary data collection technique and applied Spradley’s cultural theme analysis model to analyze the narrative. Data validation was ensured through triangulation techniques. The findings reveal that the Mount Lewotobi legend conveys significant character education values, particularly in teaching ethics and manners. The study underscores the rich correlation between education and literature, emphasizing the potential of local wisdom as an effective medium for character education. By incorporating such narratives into educational curricula, students can connect with their cultural heritage while fostering moral and ethical growth, making local legends a vital resource for holistic education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how unmarried pregnant women are portrayed in Triman Laksana’s novel Menjaring Mata Angin. The research applies Stuart Hall’s (1997) theory of representation and Tong’s (2004) liberal feminist theory. In Indonesian society, unmarried pregnant women are often perceived as violating social and religious norms, which leads to their being subjected to stigma and discrimination. This study seeks to fill a gap in previous research, which generally focuses on patriarchy in broad terms without highlighting more specific forms of representation. The method employed in this research is descriptive qualitative with a critical discourse analysis approach. The data consist of selected excerpts from the novel Menjaring Mata Angin, which were collected through close reading and subsequently verified using theoretical triangulation. The analysis centers on various forms of female representation, particularly in three aspects: physical-symbolic, socio-cultural, and ideological. The findings reveal that in the physical-symbolic aspect, the female body is depicted as a moral symbol constantly subjected to surveillance. In the socio-cultural aspect, women are portrayed as guardians of family honor. Meanwhile, in the ideological aspect, masculine control is evident in the restrictions placed on women’s bodily autonomy. However, the main character in the novel exhibits acts of resistance against this system, reflecting the spirit of liberal feminism, which emphasizes women’s freedom and autonomy. Based on these findings, it is concluded that Menjaring Mata Angin functions as a counter-discourse that not only reflects the social conditions faced by women but also critiques patriarchal ideology and gender injustice within Indonesian culture.

Abstract

The problems discussed in this study are (1) How is the role of Elis character in the novel Elis Tandigo by Erlina Mamus? (2) How is the internal conflict in the novel Elis Tandigo by Erlina Mamus? (3) How is the external conflict in the novel Elis Tandigo by Erlina Mamus?. The purpose of this study is to describe: (1) the role of Elis character in Elis Tandigo novel by Erlina Mamus (2) internal conflict in Elis Tandigo novel by Erlina Mamus (3) External conflict in Elis Tandigo novel by Erlina Mamus. In conducting this research, the method used is descriptive qualitative method. The main data source in this research comes from the novel Elis Tandigo by Erlina Mamus. Data collection in this research uses literature study technique by reading and understanding the novel. The data analysis technique uses a flowing analysis technique which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Based on the research conducted, it is concluded that this novel tells the story of Elis who plays a very important role because she is often the person in solving problems or solving problems in society.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of animated video learning media on the conceptual understanding and learning independence of fourth-grade students in Natural and Social Sciences at Kraton 2 Elementary School in Bangkalan. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a non-equivalent control group. The research sample consisted of one experimental group that learned using animated videos and one control group that received conventional instruction without animated video media. The instruments used in this study were a conceptual understanding test and a learning independence questionnaire. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, an independent samples t-test, effect size analysis, and MANOVA. The findings showed that the experimental group’s conceptual understanding scores increased from 39.12 to 72.00, while the control group’s scores increased from 28.56 to 44.64. In terms of learning independence, the experimental group’s scores increased from 28.12 to 57.84, whereas the control group’s scores increased from 28.36 to 31.12. The independent samples t-test showed statistically significant differences in both variables (p < 0.001). These findings were further supported by large effect sizes, with Cohen’s d = 2.014 for conceptual understanding and Cohen’s d = 3.218 for learning independence. The MANOVA results based on Pillai’s Trace indicated that class had a significant simultaneous effect on students’ conceptual understanding and learning independence (p < 0.001). These findings suggest that animated video learning media can serve as an effective supplementary medium in Natural and Social Sciences learning, although the interpretation of the results should be limited to the context of this study.

Abstract

This research examines the novel Gadis Pantai (The Girl from the Coast) by Pramoedya Ananta Toer as a literary work that reflects social inequality and the oppression of women within the Javanese feudal system. The novel's strong feudal setting triggers various issues for its main character. This research aims to analyze two main focuses: (1) the forms of social conflict experienced by the main character, 'Ia', resulting from her social status, and (2) the forms of inner conflict she experiences as a psychological response to these pressures. This study utilizes a socio-psychological literary approach to uncover the intricate link between external social reality and the character's internal psychological dynamics. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method using library research (documentation) techniques. The analysis of social conflict is conducted by examining aspects of class inequality, patriarchal cultural norms, and power. Meanwhile, the analysis of inner conflict utilizes Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theory to dissect the personality dynamics of the id, ego, and superego within the main character, 'Ia'. The findings of this research are expected to provide an indepth explanation of how external social pressures (social conflict) directly shape and trigger the main character's psychological struggles (inner conflict), serving as a representation of social criticism against the oppressive feudal system.
