Abstract

This research aims to develop an augmented reality-based teaching material, namely the AR-Geo module on 3D Geometry material at SMA Negeri 3 Medan. These teaching materials are able to determine the level of validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the AR-Geo module and student responses to learning. This research method used research and development (RD) through the ADDIE model. The subjects of the study involved students of class XII IPS 1 SMAN 3 Medan in the academic year 2023/2024 totaling 36 students. The research instruments employed AR-Geo module assessment sheets by media and material expert lecturers, mathematics teachers, peers, student ability tests and student response questionnaires, as well as student spatial ability tests. The results indicate that the material expert score is 91,53% and the design expert score is 90,53%, classified as very valid. The practicality of the module can be identified from the teacher response questionnaire score of 80,00% classified as practical, and the questionnaire score in the small group trial of 84,26%, field test 84,38% classified as very practical. The effectiveness is shown by 83,33% of students completing the learning outcomes test, and the results of the N-Gain calculation are 17 students experiencing an increase in medium spatial ability and 19 students experiencing an increase in high spatial ability. As a result, the development of augmented reality-based modules for 3D geometry material that has been developed is feasible to use.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital shopping media is accompanied by increasing cases of online fraud, especially through social media platforms such as Facebook. This study aims to develop a prediction model for the risk of online sales fraud using the Naïve Bayes algorithm. The data used is the data of buying and selling transactions that occur through the Facebook marketplace. The data has been collected on the Kaggle platform so that it can be used directly. Data in the form of extracted features include seller characteristics, products sold, number of transactions, device usage and other fraud indicators. Important features that affect the potential for fraud are identified and used in the machine learning process. The results of the study show that the Naïve Bayes model is able to provide accurate predictions in identifying the risk of online sales fraud, with a satisfactory accuracy rate of 95%. The results of the study are expected to contribute to the development of a more effective fraud detection system and increase user confidence in making online transactions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis proyek dan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD terhadap kemampuan penalaran dan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa di kelas VII MTsS. Nurul Amaliyah Tanjung Morawa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif, dengan jenis penelitian quasi eksperimen. Populasinya adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII MTsS. Nurul Amaliyah Tanjung Morawa yang berjumlah 60 siswa. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis varians (ANAVA). Hasil temuan ini menunjukkan: 1) Model pembelajaran berbasis proyek terhadap kemampuan penalaran dan kemampuan komunikasi lebih baik daripada model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD pada materi segi empat; 2) Tidak terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran terhadap kemampuan penalaran dan kemampuan komunikasi matematika siswa. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa model pembelajaran berbasis proyek (PjBL) lebih berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan penalaran dan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa daripada model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD.

Abstract

In oil quality monitoring, digital imagery has become an essential tool. With the advancement of technology, digital imagery can be used to visualize oil samples and perform analysis quickly and accurately. However, effective image processing techniques are needed to generate useful information from digital images. The main problem faced in fuel quality evaluation is the inaccuracy and inconsistency of manual methods. Manual methods often require expensive equipment and trained workers and are prone to human error. Therefore, a more efficient and accurate method is needed. Morphological and histogram techniques on digital images offer a potential solution to this problem. One of the common techniques used in image processing is morphological techniques, which involve mathematical operations on images to change or describe certain image features. This technique can help identify important structures and patterns in Ron 92 oil images, such as quality and cleanliness. In addition, histograms are helpful statistical tools in image analysis, which represent the distribution of pixel intensities in an image. Histogram analysis can provide insight into the distribution of pixel intensity values ​​in an oil image, which is relevant to the quality and homogeneity of the oil.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of e-learning learning based on local wisdom problems on improving the character of student discipline at Al-Azhar High School Medan. The subject of the study was a student of Al-Azhar High School Medan grade XII. The research method used is descriptive with quantitative and qualitative approaches. Data was collected through questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of grade XII students who were selected purposively, with a total of 146 students. The results of the study show that the application of the e-learning learning model based on local wisdom problems has a positive impact on improving student discipline, especially in the aspects of technology use, ethics and social interaction, as well as involvement in local culture-based learning. The findings indicate that the integration of local cultural values into e-learning not only enriches teaching materials, but also increases students' motivation, responsibility, and independence in managing the learning process. The practical implications of this research can be used as a basis for the development of innovative learning methods that combine technology and local wisdom to improve the quality of character education in the school environment.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to reveal; (1) the significant influence of PBL and CTL models assisted by interactive media on students' mathematical reasoning abilities, (2) the interaction between KAM and the application of learning models on students' mathematical reasoning abilities, (3) the significant influence of the application of PBL and CTL models assisted by interactive media on self-efficacy students, (4) knowing the interaction between students' initial mathematics abilities and learning models on students' self-efficacy. Quasi experiment is applied, especially counter balanced design with instruments: (1) test of students' initial mathematical abilities, (2) test of students' mathematical reasoning abilities, (3) self-efficacy questionnaire. Infrential data uses covariance analysis (ANCOVA). The research results showed that: (1) The two experimental classes taught using the PBL (Problem Based Learning) model and the CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) model assisted by interactive media had a significant influence on students' mathematical reasoning abilities. (2) There is an interaction between initial mathematics abilities (KAM) and the learning model used on students' mathematical reasoning abilities. (3) The two experimental classes taught using the PBL (Problem Based Learning) model and the CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) model assisted by interactive media have a significant influence on student self-efficacy. (4) There is an interaction between initial mathematics abilities (KAM) and the learning model used on student self-efficacy.

Abstract

Statistics is an important basic subject in data processing and analysis, especially for academic research. This course is the main foundation for students to develop analytical skills to produce quality research. This research evaluates the contribution of statistics courses to the quality of final year student research at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra. The method used is quantitative with descriptive statistical analysis to see the relationship between mastery of statistics and research quality. Data was obtained through a questionnaire. The analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive with statistical tests. The results show a significant positive correlation between mastery of statistics and research quality, especially in preparation of proposals, data analysis, and interpretation of results. Students with a good understanding of statistics tend to produce higher quality research. These findings emphasize the importance of quality statistics learning to increase student research success through enriching material and data analysis practices.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengembangan bahan ajar dengan berbasis model advance organizer dalam memahami materi aljabar pada siswa SMP Negeri 20 Medan, dan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kelayakan pengembangan bahan ajar matematika dengan dengan berbasis model advance organizer dalam memahami materi aljabar pada siswa SMP Negeri 20 Medan. Metode yang digunakan Research and Develpoment. Adapun hasil validator ahli materi pada tahap I memiliki nilai rata-rata sebesar 58,2% dengan kriteria “kurang layak”. Sedangkan validasi ahli materi tahap II memiliki nilai rata-rata 80% dengan kriteria “layak”. Uji coba produk pada angket respons siswa pada skala kecil mendapatkan nilai rata-rata 87,4% dengan kriteria "sangat menarik", dan pada skala besar mendapatkan nilai rata-rata 83% dengan kriteria "sangat menarik".  Sedangkan untuk Tingkat keefektifan bahan sebesar 80% siswa tuntas. Artinya tingkat keefektifan bahan ajar yang dikembangkan termasuk pada kategori baik.
