Abstract

The objective of this study is to investigate the effect of practicum method on student learning outcomes in the subject matter of optical tools in grade XI semester II SMA Swasta Asisi T.P. 2022/2023 with the application of practicum method.The type of research is true experiment with the sample from grade XI MIA 1 and XI MIA 2 of SMA Swasta Asisi T.P. 2022/2023. The instrument test of research was composed 20 items of multiple choice and the validity of the content was tested by two experts as the validator and the observation sheet of the student activity. Based on the result of the data analysis, the mean value of post test in  experimental class postes 78.46 with the standard deviation of 11.25 and the mean value of post test in control class 66.50 with the standard deviation of 13.78. Normality and homogeneity test at level α=0.05 stated normal and homogeneous and test of hypothesis was only one thitung > ttabel (2.99 > 1.67). It can be concluded that the using of  practicum method can improve the student’s achievement in the subject of optical tools in grade XI semester II SMA Swasta Asisi T.P. 2022/2023.

Abstract

Infections caused by Salmonella typhi remain a serious global health problem, particularly due to the increasing bacterial resistance to conventional antibiotics. Therefore, the search for effective natural antibacterial sources is urgently needed. Rhizophora apiculata, a mangrove plant known to contain various bioactive compounds, has the potential to be an alternative antibacterial source. This study aims to identify the phytochemical content in R. apiculata fruit extract and evaluate its antibacterial activity against S. typhi using the disc diffusion method and bacterial cell morphology analysis via SEM. The phytochemical screening results revealed that the extract contains phenolics, tannins, alkaloids, and flavonoids. However, saponins and steroids were not detected. The antibacterial activity test showed that the extract at a concentration of 250 mg/mL significantly (p < 0.05) inhibited the growth of S. typhi, with the largest inhibition zone (11.6 mm). SEM observations supported this finding by showing a decrease in the number of bacterial cells at extract concentrations of 125 mg/mL and 250 mg/mL, where the highest concentration caused the most bacterial cell death. This study demonstrates the potential of R. apiculata fruit extract as an effective natural antibacterial source for the development of alternative treatments for S. typhi infections

Abstract

Pembelajaran yang aktif dan inovatif sangat diperlukan untuk meningkatkan hasil pembelajaran siswa, khusus kurikulum merdeka saat ini program pemerintah khususnya kementrian bagian pendidikan berusaha meningkatkan literasi dan numerasi siswa oleh karena itu bentuk pelatihan perlu dilaksanakan bagi guru-guru sekolah dasar. Salah satu Sekolah Dasar (SD) yang ada di Kabupaten Simalungun khususnya kecamatan Jorlang Hataran adalah SD Negeri 096465 yang berlokasi di Bah Bunian. Pengabdian ini akan dilakukan di sekolah ini karena sekolah ini bersedia menjadi mitra dalam melakukan pengabdian. Metode pelatihan mencakup pemaparan materi, diskusi interaktif, studi kasus, serta praktik langsung melalui microteaching. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta terhadap konsep pembelajaran aktif dan inovatif, serta kemampuan mengintegrasikan aspek literasi dan numerasi dalam Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP). Pelatihan ini diharapkan menjadi langkah awal yang berdampak pada peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran dan hasil belajar siswa secara berkelanjutan di era Kurikulum Merdeka

Abstract

Abstract: The natural disaster in Lancat Village caused significant damage to fisheries infrastructure and crippled the economy of local fish farmers due to the high cost of commercial feed. This community service program aims to accelerate economic recovery through innovative, independent fish feed based on the use of Campnosperma auriculatum (Terentang) fruit as an alternative raw material. The implementation method consisted of four main stages: outreach and data collection on damaged facilities, technical training on feed formulation, intensive production assistance, and economic performance evaluation. The results of the activity showed an increase in the community's technical skills in feed nutritional formulation from 10% to 80%. The use of this innovative feed significantly reduced variable production costs by 40% and increased farmer profit margins per harvest cycle. The success of this program not only restored post-disaster production capacity but also created a sustainable, circular economic model based on local resources. The transformation of the community from feed consumers to independent producers is a key factor in strengthening the economic resilience of Lancat Village against market fluctuations and future disaster risks.Abstrak: Bencana alam di Desa Lancat telah menyebabkan kerusakan infrastruktur perikanan yang signifikan dan melumpuhkan ekonomi pembudidaya ikan lokal akibat tingginya biaya pakan komersial. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengakselerasi pemulihan ekonomi melalui inovasi pakan ikan mandiri berbasis pemanfaatan buah Campnosperma auriculatum (Terentang) sebagai bahan baku alternatif. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan melalui empat tahapan utama: sosialisasi dan pendataan kerusakan sarana, pelatihan teknis formulasi pakan, pendampingan intensif produksi, serta evaluasi performa ekonomi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan teknis masyarakat dalam formulasi nutrisi pakan dari 10% menjadi 80%. Penggunaan pakan inovasi ini secara nyata mampu menekan biaya variabel produksi sebesar 40% dan meningkatkan margin keuntungan pembudidaya per siklus panen. Keberhasilan program ini tidak hanya memulihkan kapasitas produksi pasca bencana, tetapi juga menciptakan model ekonomi sirkular berbasis sumber daya lokal yang berkelanjutan. Transformasi masyarakat dari konsumen pakan menjadi produsen mandiri menjadi kunci utama dalam memperkuat ketahanan ekonomi Desa Lancat terhadap fluktuasi pasar dan risiko bencana di masa depan.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPengelolaan limbah organik rumah tangga yang kurang optimal masih menjadi tantangan lingkungan di wilayah pedesaan, khususnya di Desa Sigumpar. Akumulasi sisa buah dan sayuran tanpa pengolahan berisiko mencemari lingkungan dan menurunkan kualitas perairan sungai setempat. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan warga Desa Sigumpar dalam mentransformasi limbah organik menjadi ecoenzim melalui teknik fermentasi, sekaligus sebagai upaya pemulihan kualitas air sungai. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan dengan melibatkan 10 peserta masyarakat Desa Sigumpar dengan lama waktu pelaksanaan selama dua minggu. Tahapan  kegiatan dimulai dari tahap koordinasi, tahap pelaksana kegiatan, tahap aplikasi dan implementasi lapangan, dan tahap monitoring dan evalusi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan masyarakat berhasil memproduksi sekitar 40 liter cairan ecoenzim dari limbah rumah tangga dan 90% masyarakat mengerti cara membuat ecoenzim. Evaluasi program dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan memantau proses produksi, antusiasme peserta, serta kondisi awal aliran sungai sebagai sasaran aplikasi produk.Kata kunci: Limbah Organik; Ecoenzim; Kualitas Sungai. ABSTRACTSuboptimal management of household organic waste remains an environmental challenge in rural areas, particularly in Sigumpar Village. The accumulation of unprocessed fruit and vegetable waste poses a risk of environmental pollution and degrading the quality of local river water. This community service program aims to educate and train the community in transforming organic waste into eco-enzymes through fermentation techniques, while simultaneously restoring river water quality. The implementation method was carried out through direct practical mentoring involving 10 community participants. The activity results showed that the community successfully produced approximately 40 liters of eco-enzyme liquid from household waste, and 90% of the community understood how to make eco-enzymes. The program evaluation was conducted descriptively by monitoring the production process, participant enthusiasm, and the initial condition of the river flow as the target application of the product. Keywords: Organic Waste; Ecoenzymes; River Quality.
