Abstract

The measurement of sea level is essential to oceanography because it provides vital information about the ocean environment, such as tides, currents, and water temperature. This research aimed to develop an Internet of Things (IoT)-based sea level monitoring device that can precisely measure sea level and transmit data in real time. An ESP32 microcontroller, a GSM module, an MS5803-14BA sensor, and a battery constituted the device. To protect the electronics from the ocean environment, the components were assembled on a PCB board and placed within a waterproof box. The field test was conducted for 17 hours at the Class 1 Navigation Office Port in Tanjungpinang, and the Ubidots platform was used to monitor the data. The device accurately measured sea level with an RMSE of 0.69 cm and an accuracy rate of 99.47%, according to the results. However, the field test also revealed problems with data transmission, with 18.81% of the data not being transmitted to the server. This low data transmission rate may have been caused by low RSSI levels and signal quality issues with the operator. To understand the causes of these data losses and improve the device's overall performance, additional research is required. This study demonstrated the viability of utilizing an Internet of Things-based sea level monitoring device to precisely measure sea level and transmit data in real time. It provides valuable information for the improvement and further development of sea level monitoring systems.

Abstract

Education equality for the Indonesian people still needs to be improved; for example, in Indramayu, the average length of schooling for the community has only reached 6.52 years (2021) and 6.83 years (2022), still below the 12-year compulsory education program. One way of equitable distribution of education through digitisation of the Education module still needs to be solved, especially related to uneven internet access facilities and the high price of internet quota. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out this activity so that a system that contains digital learning modules can be produced without using internet quota. This activity aims to digitise learning modules that can be accessed without internet quota to accelerate education equity for Pabean Udik Village Indramayu school students. Activities are carried out by designing a system consisting of hardware, web-based applications and learning module content, both K-13 modules and Virtual laboratories. The result obtained is the availability of a system that contains learning module content and virtual laboratories that can be accessed without internet quota using smartphones, tablets and computers. This system is expected to be a solution for equitable development, especially for students in Indramayu, to increase students' knowledge even though the average school time is still below national standards. This system can also be implemented in other regions to accelerate education equity in Indonesia.

Abstract

Electric motors are electromechanical machines commonly used in industry and automotive products. Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (IPMSM) is a synchronous electric motor with a permanent magnet that is often used on electric vehicle engines. However, one of the characteristics of an electric motor with permanent magnet is the existence of torque ripples. The presence of torque ripples in electric motors can cause vibrations in the machine which affect efficiency, structural durability and operating speed. Therefore, it is necessary to make improvements or changes to the motor design to overcome this problem. This study was conducted to analyze the effect of a modification of the electric motor parameter on the torque value in the existing design. Modifications are applied to the existing design with an initial condition of torque ripples of 42.58%. This study modified the air gap, magnet angles, magnet thickness, and opening slot width. Modifications are carried out through a finite element method-based software simulation with the Taguchi method to reduce experimental configurations of design factors from 625 to 25 experiments. Through this research on parameter modification, the results of the analysis show that each modification of the design factor has an influence on the value of torque ripples. From the process of Analysis of Mean (ANOM), it can be seen that wider air gap and slot opening, the smaller torque ripples. Then, the greater magnet rib and thicker magnet cause the greater torque ripples.

Abstract

Tingginya konsumsi daging sapi di Indonesia membuat kebutuhan daging sapi di Indonesia selalu naik secara signifikan setiap tahun. Hal ini berbanding terbalik dengan produksi daging sapi di Indonesia yang menyebabkan impor dan harga daging sapi terus melonjak naik. Keadaan ini membuat pedagang daging sapi melakukan kecurangan mencampur daging sapi segar dengan tidak segar. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, dibutuhkan suatu sistem untuk mengklasifikasi dan mendeteksi kesegaran daging sapi sesuai karakteristik yang dimilikinya. Salah satu metode deep learning yang banyak digunakan saat ini yaitu Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). Pada CNN, citra diolah menjadi sebuah model yang mampu mengklasifikasikan kelas pada kesegaran daging sapi. Model klasifikasi terbaik pada penelitian ini yaitu akurasi sebesar 100% pada data latih dan data uji, nilai loss sebesar 0,0233 dengan learning rate, epoch dan optimizer ADAM untuk meningkatkan tingkat akurasi pada model. Implementasi model pada mobile apps berbasis Android yang dapat digunakan untuk mendeteksi tingkat kesegaran daging sapi.

Abstract

In today's fast-paced and stressful daily life, many people experience fatigue and stress, necessitating solutions to alleviate these feelings. Taking care of pets, especially cats, can have a positive impact on human mental health. However, caring for cats requires time and effort, particularly in monitoring their health and the environmental conditions of their living space. This study aims to design and develop a prototype of a cat care monitoring and control system based on the Internet of Things (IoT), enabling real-time monitoring and automated control of various aspects, including cat health, body temperature, and feeding. The system integrates multiple components, including ESP-32, MLX90614 GY-906 Sensor, Ultrasonic Sensor, DHT11 Sensor, RTC DS1302, Servo Motor, Relay, LCD 16x2, 5V Water Pump, Exhaust Fan, and the Telegram application as a monitoring interface. The study's findings indicate that air-conditioned rooms provide the most stable and comfortable temperature and humidity conditions for both pets and humans. Additionally, the DHT11 sensor is more suitable for indoor humidity measurement, whereas the DTH sensor is more optimal for outdoor environments. The ultrasonic sensor proves to be practical for distance measurement, while the load cell delivers precise results for weight measurement requiring high accuracy and stability. This research offers an innovative solution to enhance cat monitoring and care, contributing to an overall improvement in pet quality of life.

Abstract

Pengabdian Masyarakat ini dilakukan di Desa Sukadami Kecamatan Cikarang Selatan dengan mitra UMKM Inovasi Olahan Lele pimpinan Ibu Asmanidar. Permasalahan yang dihadapi dari masih belum optimalnya penjualan diantaranya, yaitu: (1) Kemasan produk masih tradisional, (2) pada kemasan belum dicantumkan kandungan gizi, (3) proses pemasaran masih dilakukan secara tradisional. Tujuan dari PKM-T ini, yaitu mengakselerasi Perkembangan Penjualan UMKM Inovasi Olahan Lele dengan memperbaiki kemasan, memasukan kandungan gizi pada kemasan, diversifikasi produk dalam bentuk frozen olahan lele agar mudah dijual secara online menggunakan teknologi digital terkini. Kegiatan ini berhasil dilaksanakan dalam bentuk workshop dan pendampingan yang dihadiri UMKM olahan lele dan anggota Forum UMKM Cikarang Selatan serta didukung penuh oleh Pimpinan Kecamatan Cikarang selatan

Abstract

General Background: The integration of Internet of Things (IoT) technology in agriculture presents new opportunities for sustainable practices and hands-on education. Specific Background: However, its implementation in junior high school curricula, particularly as a practical environmental learning tool, remains limited. Knowledge Gap: Most schools lack access to real-world IoT-based applications that foster student engagement with digital literacy and environmental awareness simultaneously. Aims: This study aimed to design and implement an IoT-based Smart Garden system for automatic irrigation and lighting at SMP Al Izhar Pondok Labu, while evaluating its educational and technological impacts. Results: The program involved 50 participants who built functional Smart Garden prototypes using sensors and microcontrollers, resulting in significant gains in STEM motivation (+1.1), understanding of IoT (+1.2), and its application in agriculture (+1.2). Novelty: The innovation lies in integrating project-based learning with low-cost IoT hardware to create a replicable educational model that combines STEM skills, environmental education, and digital literacy. Implications: The success of this initiative highlights the potential of IoT-enhanced environmental projects to enrich school-based learning, strengthen 21st-century competencies, and inspire broader adoption of smart, sustainable practices in education.Highlight : The program introduced IoT-based Smart Garden systems to junior high school students through hands-on workshops, fostering practical STEM skills. Students showed a 25% increase in understanding and motivation, based on pre- and post-test assessments, highlighting educational impact. The initiative provides a replicable model for integrating environmental and digital literacy in school curricula, promoting sustainability. Abstract

This study presents the design and implementation of a smart shopping trolley system based on Internet of Things (IoT) technology, aimed at improving retail efficiency and customer control. The system integrates an ESP32 microcontroller, RFID reader, LCD display, keypad, and buzzer to monitor total purchases in real time and alert users when a predefined budget is exceeded. Through a design and development methodology, the prototype was tested using 25 products and 10 scenarios. Results showed 100% accuracy in item detection and instant budget alert response. This research addresses a key gap in previous smart trolley systems by incorporating dynamic budget control and user-defined notifications. The system offers strong potential for further integration into real retail environments and serves as a foundation for future smart retail innovations.

Abstract

Peningkatan penggunaan gadget di kalangan anak-anak telah menimbulkan masalah seperti rendahnya literasi digital dan ketergantungan pada konten non-edukatif. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan mengatasi hal tersebut melalui penerapan Teknologi Tepat Guna (TTG) berupa sistem pembelajaran digital berbasis intranet tanpa kuota internet. Kegiatan dilakukan di RW 01 Depok Jaya dengan pendekatan partisipatif, meliputi survei, analisis, desain, instalasi, pelatihan, dan pendampingan. Sistem terdiri atas perangkat keras, aplikasi edukatif ramah pengguna, dan konten pembelajaran formal maupun informal. Hasil menunjukkan sistem digunakan oleh anak dan remaja serta mengubah fungsi balai warga menjadi pusat belajar digital. Antusiasme masyarakat tinggi, disertai permintaan untuk menambahkan konten pembelajaran non formal agar pengguna sistem bertambah ibu rumah tangga dan remaja yang sering berkegiatan di lokasi. Inisiatif ini mendukung literasi digital anak serta SDGs poin 4. Rekomendasi mencakup pengembangan sistem kendali jarak jauh, penambahan konten, dan replikasi ke wilayah lain.

Abstract

Kampung Cigundi di Desa Mekaragung Lebak Banten yang mayoritas warganya berprofesi sebagai petani memiliki suatu keunikan, yaitu adanya kolaborasi antara suami dan istri dalam upaya peningkatan perekonomian keluarga dimana para suami tergabung dalam Kelompok Tani Surya Tani (KST), kelompok tani yang memanfaatkan lahan untuk bercocok tanam khususnya menanam singkong. Sedangkan para istri dan anak-anak tergabung dalam Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) Pagoda yang memanfaatkan singkong hasil panen para suami menjadi produk unggulan kripik enye-enye. Kerjasama unik ini berpotensi menjadikan Kampung Cigundi sebagai Desa Wisata Tani. Sayangnya keunikan dan informasi tentang keberadaan Kampung Cigundi sangat minim baik secara fisik seperti petunjuk arah maupun non fisik seperti di mesin pencari Google. Kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat ini bertujuan melakukan Branding Kampung Cigundi sebagai Desa Wisata Tani berbasis teknologi informasi dengan membuat website dan media sosial Facebook dan Instagram Kampung Cigundi agar informasi keunikan dan keberadaan Kampung Cigundi mudah ditemukan di mesin pencari Google. Pada akhir kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini, website dan media sosial Facebook dan Instagram Kampung Cigundi telah masuk halaman pertama pencarian google dengan kata kunci kampung cigundi.
