Abstract

Implants are a long-term family planning method (MKJP). This contraceptive requires skills in removing and installing it. An implant is a type of Long Term Contraceptive Method (MKJP) which is in the form of a small rod that is placed under the skin layer of the inner upper arm. The implant contains the hormone progesterone which can be effective for three years and can return to fertility after the removal process (BKKBN, 2020). According to the BKKBN, implants are one strategy for family planning services to accelerate the reduction in the Total Fertility Rate (TFR) in Indonesia. Based on its use, implants are more efficient because they are used for a long time and are safer and more effective. The MKJP failure rate is reported to be 0.2 per 1000 users, while non-MKJP methods are reported to occur at 10 per 1000 users (BKKBN, 2020). . The implementation of this community service activity was attended by 10 women of childbearing age in the working area of the Rajabasa Community Health Center. The method used in this activity was through lectures and discussions as well as questions and answers about contraceptives and continued with implant installation. This activity increases knowledge of women of childbearing age about implants while increasing MKJP coverage in the family planning sector

Quantitative research type, Quasi-experimental research design with a two group pretest-posttest design approach. The population was 77, the sample was 30, divided into 2 groups, 15 intervntion groups and 15 control groups using purposive sampling techniques and simple random sampling techniques. The object of the research was hemoglobin levels. The research subjects were pregnant women in the third trimester with anemia. The research was conducted in July-August 2024. Data collection used observation sheets, univariate and bivariate data analysis (Independent t-test). The results of the study showed that the average hemoglobin level before being given date juice and Fe (intervention group) was 10.2 gr/dl and after the intervention was 11.4 gr/dl. Meanwhile, the average hemoglobin level before being given Fe alone (control group) was 10.0 gr/dl and after it was 10.3 gr/dl. There was an effect of giving date palm juice on the hemoglobin levels of TM III pregnant women (p-value 0.000 < α = 0.05). Abstract

This community service activity aimed to increase adolescent girls’ knowledge about anemia, including its causes, symptoms, impacts, and prevention efforts. The method used was an observational analytic design with a pretest–posttest approach involving 31 adolescent girls selected through random sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire consisting of 15 questions, followed by an interactive health education session using leaflet media. The results showed that the mean knowledge score of respondents increased from 42.90 at the pretest to 80.65 at the posttest. The Wilcoxon test yielded a p-value = 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference before and after the intervention. These findings demonstrate that health education using leaflets is effective in improving adolescent girls’ knowledge about anemia. It is recommended that adolescent girls apply the information gained through balanced nutrition and adherence to Iron-Folic Acid (IFA) tablet consumption. Furthermore, health centers and health workers are encouraged to carry out continuous education, strengthen the school-based IFA supplementation program, and monitor adherence as a sustainable strategy for anemia prevention.

Abstract

Dysmenorrhea is a painful phenomenon experienced during menstruation, often accompanied by cramps and focused on the lower abdomen that spreads to the lower back and thighs. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes towards treating dysmenorrhoea among female students at SMP Ma'arif 01 Seputih Raman. The research uses a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. Total sampling was carried out on 83 female students at SMP Ma'arif 01 Seputih Raman. Bivariate analysis uses the Chi Square Test. The results of univariate analysis showed that 22 female students (68.8%) treated dysmenorrhoea poorly, while only 10 female students (31.3%) managed it well. Bivariate analysis showed that there was no significant relationship between female students' knowledge of dysmenorrhea treatment (p value 0.617 > 0.05). However, there is a significant relationship between female students' attitudes and the treatment of dysmenorrhea (p value 0.048 < 0.05). So there is a need to improve the attitudes of female students regarding the treatment of dysmenorrhea
