Abstract

The research carried out aims to see how the problem-based learning model with outdoor study influences students' science learning outcomes compared to conventional learning models. The population of this research was 98 students of SMPN 12 Tanjung Jabung Timur, while the sample was 26 students of class VII A and 25 students of class VII B, taken using a purposive sampling technique where class VII A was the experimental class and class VI B as a control class. This research is quantitative research using a quasi-experimental method with non-equivalent control group design. The data collection technique used in this research was a multiple choice test and analyzed using the t-test to see differences in learning outcomes with two different learning models. Based on the results of tests carried out with 20 multiple choice questions, researchers found that there were striking differences in learning outcomes where the average posttest score for experimental class students was 60 while the control class was 39.8, which was then analyzed through paired difference tests (t-test) for looked at the differences and obtained results of 0.000 < 0.05, which means Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected, which can be concluded that there are differences in student learning outcomes who use the problem-based learning model with outdoor study compared to the control class which in this case uses the conventional model. The findings obtained can strengthen evidence that the influence caused by the use of a problem-based learning model with outdoor study on the science learning outcomes of high school students is very good.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to prove whether there is an effect of using the Everyone Is A Teacher Here (ETH) learning model on the learning outcomes of class X students at SMA Tuah Kemuning. This research is a quantitative study using true experimental design postest only control design. Sampling using the Cluster Random Sampling technique in order to obtain class XI IPA 1 as the experimental class and class XI IPA 2 as the control class. The data collection instrument used a multiple choice test. Based on the analysis of data calculations, the average value of student learning outcomes in the experimental class was 80.8, while for the control class the average student learning outcomes were 70.24. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that student learning outcomes with a value of t0 ≥ ti were 2.01 <3.91> 2.68 with a large effect size of 1.15 or 86%. So, it can be concluded that there is an effect of using the ETH model on the learning outcomes of class XI students at SMA Tuah Kemuning. The results of this study suggest that teachers apply the ETH model as a learning model for further material.

Abstract

Soybean productivity in Jambi province is lower than national soybean productivity. One of the problems in increasing soybean production is pest attacks. This research aims to determine the population and level of attack by pod-destroying pests on several soybean varieties (Glycine max (L) Merrill). The research design used was a Randomized Block Design (RAK) which consisted of 5 treatments with 5 groups. Each treatment was repeated 5 (five) times, so that the total experiment consisted of 25 experimental units. The data analysis technique used is the analysis of variance technique and is followed by Duncan's multiple distance test (DNMRT) at the α = 5% level. The research results show that there are 3 types of pod destroying pests on soybean plants, namely E. zinkenella, R. linearis and N. viridula. Pod sucking attacks were seen in the five soybean varieties, attacks began to appear at 73 days after planting and 80 days after planting. The attack rate was observed at 73 HST with an attack rate of 9.69 - 5.04%. At 80 DAT observations, it was seen that the attack rate was increasing, the highest attack rate occurred on the Anjasmoro variety at 26.22% and the lowest attack rate was on the Jayawijaya variety at 7.43%
