Abstract

Children with special needs are children with disabilities or physical, mental, intellectual, social, or emotional barriers, such as: children with autism, deaf, blind, mental retradation, physical disability and others can have a significant effect on the process of growth or development compared to other children of his age. The problem of children with special needs is a problem that is quite complex in quantity and quality. This condition if not handled properly, the development of the child's ability to experience obstacles and the burden of parents, family, community and country.The purpose of handling done by all experts will have a positive impact for children with special needs. In various aspects such as in the field of academics able to follow the subjects well, in the social field of children able to socialize with the community and in the field of emotion children can channel emotions into positive things. Parents or families as primary service providers to children with special needs, generally still lack the awareness and responsibility to provide equal rights and opportunities for the children. This is because the lack of knowledge of parents or families about how to care for, educate, nurture and meet the needs of these children. Parents or families are the most important factor in facilitating the growth and protection of children with special needs

Abstract

Anak autism spectrum disorder (ASD) merupakan anak yang memiliki gangguan perkembangan kejiwaan yang kompleks. Anak ASD disebut memiliki gangguan perkembangan yang komplek dikarenakan memiliki kegagalan pada tiga aspek perkembangan yaitu kemampuan interaksi sosial, komunikasi sosial, dan perilaku (restricted dan repetitive). Sehingga membutuhkan penanganan khusus dan intensif dari berbegai pihak. Adapun pihak-pihak yang berperan penting memberikan penanganan anak ASD adalah orang tua, guru, terapis, dan dokter. Penelitian ini mengkaji pengetahuan orang tua, guru, dan terapis tentang penanganan anak ASD. Subjek dan objek penelitian ini adalah 4 orang tua, 2 guru SLB, 2 guru Inklusi, dan 2 terapis. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kabupaten Sidoarjo. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara menunjukan bahwa keseluruhan subjek yang terdiri dari 4 orang tua, 2 guru SLB, 2 guru Inklusi, dan 2 terapis tidak mengetahui yang dimaksud dengan autism spectrum disorder dan layanan yang harus diberikan untuk menanganinya. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan orang tua, guru, dan terapis tentang anak ASD dan penanganannya masih sangat kurang. Permasalahan tersebut dapat timbul dikarenakan kurangnya sosialisasi dan pelatihan-pelatihan khusus untuk pihak yang berperan memberikan penanganan anak ASD. Abstract

Autism Spectrum Disorder is a complex developmental disorder, indicated by symptoms of social communicationdisorders, social interactiondisorders, repetitive and restricted behavior disorders whose development is already visible at the age of 3 years. Repetitive behavior disorder is performed by children with ASD throughout the day that it interferes with progress in carrying out social activities. The restricted behavioral disorders are impaire in the behavior of interest, according to age, in which children with ASD showed interest in an object or activity is improper. Behavioral disorders experienced by children with ASD occurs because of the misperception, in which the sensory input is not integrated, properly can result in a child with ASD interpreting the world differently. The more behavioral disorders caused by inaccuracy in sensory processing systems integration. As for sensory integration disorder that can be experienced by children with ASD are three types of Sensory Modulation Disorder (SMD), Sensory-Based Motor Disorder (SBMD), Sensory Discrimination Disorder (SDD).

Abstract

Sebagai wujud besarnya perhatian pemerintah untuk mempercepat penyelenggaraan pendidikan inklusif, pada tahun 2009 Menteri Penidikan Nasional mengeluarkan Permendiknas No.70 tentang pendidikan inklusif. Permendiknas No.70 tersebut digunakan sebagai rujukan dalam penetapan kebijakan implementasi pendidikan inklusif di wilayah masing-masing. Keberhasilan penyelenggaraan pendidikan inklusif tidak serta merta karena kebijakan penyelenggaraan pemerintah, akan tetapi juga karena pengetahuan pihak-pihak yang terkait dengan sekolah, baik warga sekolah, masyarakat, maupun mahasiswa sebagai calon tenaga pendidik. Dalam hal ini, mahasiswa keguruan dan ilmu pendidikan yang notabene sebagai calon tenaga pendidik baik dalam lingkup sekolah dasar maupun sekolah menengah, dituntut untuk memiliki kompetensi dan pengetahuan secara khusus tentang pendidikan inklusif demi berperan serta mensukseskan penyelenggaraan sekolah inklusi di setiap daerah di Indonesia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan informasi tentang pengetahuan yang dimiliki mahasiswa tentang pendidikan inklusif. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 38 mahasiswa PG-PAUD UNIPA Surabaya. Proses pengumpulan informasi ialah dengan teknik angket terbuka. Adapun analisis data penelitian menggunakan teknik uji tanda. Data kualitatif dianalisis secara deskriptif dan data kuantitatif dianalisis dengan rumus statistik sederhana. Pemaparan hasil analisis data menunjukan rata-rata prosentase yang rendah yaitu 9,6%. Berdasarkan nilai persentase tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan mahasiswa PG-PAUD UNIPA Surabaya tentang pendidikan inklusif masih sangat rendah. Hasil penelitian tersebut menunjukkan bahwa perlunya peningkatan wawasan mahasiswa PG-PAUD UNIPA Surabaya terkait penyelenggaraan pendidikan inklusif di Indonesia.

Abstract

Anak berkebutuhan khusus pada umumnya mengalami perilaku maladaptive dan berpemgaruh pada gangguan fungsional yang signifikan. Sehingga Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) diperlukan untuk mengakomodasi atau memulihkan defisit keterampilan sosial dan adaptif anak-anak berkebutuhan khusus yang dapat menimbulkan hambatan untuk meminimalisir perilaku maladaptive pada anak berkebutuhan khusus. Gangguan kecemasan telah ditemukan sangat komorbiditas dengan gangguan spektrum autisme (ASD). Guru dan orang tua dapat dilatih tentang prosedur pembinaan sosial sederhana yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran pada aspek komunikasi sehingga aspek perilaku maladaptif tidak begitu mendapatkan intervensi secara khusus. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi pada penerapan CBT adalah kurangnya kompetensi guru dan terapis dalam menerapkan metode dan pendekatan lain yang fokus pada aspek gangguan perilaku kognitif anak dengan disabilitas. Solusi yang direncanakan untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut adalah memberikan pelatihan dengan muatan materi tentang analisis perubahan tingkah laku dan penerapan program CBT (Coginitive Behavioral Therapy) terintegrasi. Adapun capaian yang dihasilkan dari kegiatan tersebut adalah kemampuan guru dan terapis dalam melakukan analisis perubahan tingkah laku, dan PPI (Program Pembelajaran Individual).

Abstract

Article 67, paragraph 1, of Law Number 2, Year 2022 states that every company is obliged to provide protection in accordance with the type and degree of disability. However, in reality, there are still many companies that accept people with disabilities as workers without providing appropriate services. There is still discrimination, stigma, prejudice, and bad stereotypes about people with disabilities who work. Therefore, researchers want to know the forms of discrimination experienced by workers with disabilities. Researchers used a literature review approach by searching for data related to social inclusion for people with disabilities in the workplace through supporting data sourced from national and international research journals. From the results that have been obtained, researchers found that the form of discrimination that arises in the work environment is that there are still many non-disabled employees who look down on them, such as considering that employees with disabilities are childish, incompetent, dangerous, cannot complete tasks optimally, and have deviant sexual disorders. In addition, employers impose restrictions on working hours for people with disabilities, lack of access to flexible transportation, and assigning tasks that are in a quiet and monotonous place make employees with disabilities uncomfortable, not invited to discuss and left to sit in the chair alone. From several cases that have been obtained by researchers, it can be concluded that social inclusion in the field of employment for people with disabilities is still not fully inclusive. And the laws that have been made by the government still cannot be implemented perfectly.

Abstract

Discussions regarding the ability of children with special needs to follow tahfidz of the Qur'an often arise, "Can children with special needs memorise the Qur'an? How is the planning carried out so that children can memorise the Qur'an? How are modifications to the memorisation method applied?" This research aims to find answers to a phenomenon that occurs in Islamic-based schools which produce memorisers of the Qur'an from students with special needs. Qualitative methods were applied at all stages of this research. Data collection was carried out using interview, observation and documentation techniques, and then validity was carried out by testing the validity of the data using triangulation and member check techniques. The research results found that there was planning, implementation of memorisation using the talaqqi method, evaluation and involvement of parents in learning the tahfidz Qur'an for students with special needs.

Abstract

Providing interventions for children with autism requires various methods and learning media. Visual Support has long been implemented to help train communication skills in children with autism. Recently, many applications have developed as assistive technology to help children with autism in the learning environment. This study aims to elaborate on the visual design integrated into application-based assistive technology for children with autism. The method used in this research is a Systematic Literature Review. Based on the data tracing results, several references have been collected that specifically discuss the design of visual Support. From the data analysis, it can be concluded that visual Support is important to be integrated into digital applications to help children with ASD to carry out daily activities in various environmental settings. The development of visual support design must refer to the prerequisite rules to support the suitability of their characteristics and needs.

Abstract

This study aims to produce assistive technology products in the form of vibrating pillows with performance components designed according to the needs of deaf college students in increasing independence when they wake up. The research method used is research and development or Research and Development (RD) with the Sustainable Development Model in Educational Research. Data collection techniques in the form of observation, questionnaires, trials and documentation. The research subjects were deaf college students at State University of Malang. The research design was carried out twice with 3 media experts and 7 respondents. Data analysis by media experts using the percentage formula produces a value of 95% which means the product is valid. After the product was declared valid, data analysis was carried out on 7 respondents in the form of a product performance effectiveness test and a different test with the initial/before survey and the final/after product use survey. Analysis of product performance effectiveness test data in two days of trial results increased from 95% to 97.8%. Non-Parametric Willcoxon Signed Ranks Test data analysis using SPSS, showed that there was no decrease in value from the initial survey to the end because Negative Ranks showed a value of 0. There was an increase in self-reliance marked by Positive Ranks indicating a value of 7. The results showed that the hypothesis was accepted by showing the data different test Wilcoxon signed ranks test obtained Z count = -2.375 and α = 0.05, then sig = 0.018. This shows that Sig 0.018 is smaller than 0.05 (0.018 0.05). These results explain that the product has a good effect on changes in the independence ability in wakening for deaf college students.

Abstract

Children with special needs have atypical development that is different from children in general. They need to face various types of obstacles in carrying out their functions as humans. One of these obstacles is social development which has an impact on the emergence of problematic social behavior. The presence of these disorders is suspected to be connected to their inadequate self-regulation. This study aims to provide a comprehensive view of the correlation between self-regulation and social behavior in children with special needs based on scientific evidence. The method used is a literature review. The results of the study indicate that the social behavior of children with special needs which is often hampered has a correlation with self-regulation which is connected through executive function disorders and theory of mind and can be exacerbated by the presence of comorbid conditions.
