Abstract

Students at SD Negeri 29 Pemecutan do not all know about efforts to eradicate dengue hemorrhagic fever mosquito nests. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of counseling using educational videos to increase knowledge of dengue mosquito nest eradication. The Pre-Experimental Design model with the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design method was used in this research design. The results of the study were tested with paired t-tests, obtained p values (0.000) alpha (0.05), then H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted, so there was a difference in the average knowledge before counseling and after counseling on dengue mosquito nest eradication with educational videos for SD Negeri 29 Pemecutan students.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Background: Food handlers' behavior during food processing is closely related to the quality of the food produced and served to consumers. Improving personal hygiene knowledge and attitudes is a key factor in changing personal hygiene behavior among food handlers. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of education using a mix of leaflets and posters to improve personal hygiene knowledge and attitudes among food handlers.Method:.The study used a pre-experimental method with a One Group Pretest Posttest Design. Data were collected using a questionnaire targeting food handlers at 35 restaurants. Data were analyzed using a paired t-test.Result:.The average knowledge of personal hygiene before education increased from 6.20 to 9.48 after education, a 51.13 increase. The average personal hygiene attitude before education increased from 9.37 to 10.68 after education, a 12.66 increase. There was a significant difference in knowledge before and after education, with a significant difference of 0.000. Similarly, there was a significant difference in attitudes before and after education, with a significant difference of 0.003.Conclusion: Utilizing a media mix of leaflets and posters can improve food handlers' knowledge and attitudes about personal hygiene.

Abstract

Title:  Effective Educational Video Media to Improve Elementary School Students' Knowledge and Skills of Handwashing with Soap  (silahkan di isi judul bahasa inggrisnya, jangan di buang atau di hapus)Background: Counseling on hand washing with soap using educational video media has never been done in SD Negeri 2 Serangan and students do not know the steps to wash their hands properly. The purpose of the study was to determine the benefits of educational video media to improve the knowledge and skills of hand washing with soap of elementary school students.Method: The type of research used Pre Experimental with One Group Pretest Posttest Design. Statistical test of increasing knowledge and skills of washing hands with soap after the intervention using Paired T-Test.Result:  The average knowledge before the intervention was 5.90 and after the intervention 8.38 with an increase of 42%, while the average skills before the intervention were 5.43 and after the intervention 7.49 with an increase of 39%. The results of the statistical test calculations using the Paired T-Test test showed that the asymp. Sig (2-tailed) value was 0.000 <α (0.05), both for student knowledge and skills.Conclusion:  There was an increase in knowledge and skills before and after washing hands with soap after being given an intervention in the form of counseling using educational video media. The increase was influenced by factors of media utilization, as well as additional information about hand washing.ABSTRAK Latar belakang: Penyuluhan cuci tangan pakai sabun menggunakan media video edukasi belum pernah dilakukan di SD Negeri 2 Serangan dan siswa belum mengetahui langkah mencuci tangan dengan benar. Tujuan penelitian mengetahui manfaat media video edukasi untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan cuci tangan pakai sabun siswa sekolah dasar.Metode: Jenis penelitian menggunakan Pre Experimental dengan rancangan One Grop Pretest Posttest Design. Uji statistik peningakatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan cuci tangan pakai sabun setelah setelah dilakukan intervensi menggunakan uji Paired T-Test.Hasil: Rata-rata pengetahuan sebelum intervensi adalah 5.90 dan sesudah intervensi 8.38 dengan peningkatan sebanayak 42% , sedangkan rata-rata keterampilan sebelum  intervensi adalah 5.43 dan sesudah intervensi 7.49 dengan peningkatan 39%. Hasil perhitungan uji statistik menggunakan uji Paired T-Test diketahui bahwa nilai asymp. Sig (2-tailed) 0,000 < α (0,05), baik untuk  pengetahuan dan maupun keterampilan siswa.Simpulan: Terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan sebelum dan sesudah cuci tangan pakai sabun setelah diberikan intervensi berupa penyuluhan dengan menggunakan media vidio edukasi. Peningkatan dipengaruhi faktor pemanfaatan media, serta tambahan informasi mengenai cuci tangan
