Abstract

Museums genereally display historical objects such as heirlooms and artifacts. To observe this object more clearly visitors usually touch the display case or even hold the objects directly. The implementation of new normal expected that people avoiding contact either directly and indirectly. This study aims to find an alternative solution for reducing contact in museum, This study aims to implement the Augmented Reality (AR) technologies as one of solution for reducing contact in museums, by implementing it in form of mobile application that using Android operating system supported by Unity AR Foundation and ARCore. This research conducted at Keraton Kanoman in Cirebon City. The results of performances test showed 4 out of 10 objects displayed and running 60 Hz Refresh Rates and 60 fps. While the AR/VR development in Android is still limited due to ARCore incompatibility issue, the device proofed to run smoothly without having significant Refresh or Frame Rates drop

Abstract

The light propagation in optical waveguide must be able to maintain low propagation loss, low coupling loss and scattering loss condition, especially in the junction. In this research, a spot size converter is proposed to preserve the lowest coupling loss. This optical converter is composed of a single mode optical fiber (SiO2) including inversed taper. The optical input signal from the optical fiber is launched into photonic integrated circuits and then coupled into the Si-Slab waveguide. Furthermore, linear form with the length dependence has been studied to obtain the optimal position of optical fiber and the chip and analyzed the coupling efficiency of it. The purpose of this research is to procure the optimal form of spot size converter. The simulation result shows the coupling loss of linear form is 0.62 dB and 0.24 dB on TE and TM mode condition respectively. Along with the increase in the taper length, the coupling loss obtained tends to decrease as well. So that, it can be assumed the design of a linear form with 100 μm taper length provides the highest coupling efficie ncy.

Abstract

Along with the growth of Sindangsari's population, the water requirement in this village has increased. So, the drinking water company (PAMDES) in this village must be able to manage the available water to meet the necessities of public life. Now, the water company is still collecting and recording water meters manually. It is very risky to consider the water condition in the village because an officer can make a human error while recording the water meter's value. When the water meter recorder is damaged, the officer estimates the water meter's value. An application is needed to manage bills and record water meters to avoid this in previous studies using the Internet of Things (IoT) or mobile applications that must be sent online to the server in real-time. This solution is not suitable for the internet condition in Indonesia, which is not evenly distributed to remote villages. This study proposes to use a mobile application that can store data on mobile devices. When the internet connection is unavailable, it can be sent later when it is available again. In this study, data obtained that the condition of the meter recorder from 672 customers, 37 water meters recorder is damaged. In addition, water meter data is also obtained for the following month's bill and data on average water usage of 10,661m3 per month. With these data, it is found that the minimum water requirement is 10,661 m3 per month. It is hoped that the application for billing management and recording of PAMDES water meters in Sindangsari village, Cikoneng sub-district, Ciamis district can help increase PAMDES management capacity.

Abstract

The vannamei shrimp is a type of shrimp that has a natural habitat in the Pacific Coast, and Mexico. This shrimp entered Indonesia in 1996 when tiger shrimp experienced a decline in production due to disease attacks caused by the White Spot virus. Demand for this shrimp immediately increased rapidly, requiring innovation to keep shrimp yields in line with market demand. The problem in vaname shrimp farming is water quality, especially water temperature conditions where shrimp live. This shrimp prefer water conditions that have temperatures around 27-29°C. A water quality control system was developed to maintain water conditions in accordance with the best conditions for P. vannamei shrimp to increase yields due to reduced mortality rates. The result is the system can help increase the survival of the shrimp.

Abstract

Tourism is an industry that plays an important role in a country''s economy. Tourism offers a variety of cultural, natural and scenic experiences that enhance knowledge and understanding of the world. In an effort to improve tourism promotion in the village, especially in Kawasan Sinai, the development of a tourism information system is a very important research focus. In the implementation section of this system, the system implementation process will be explained from all parts of the sub-system that have been planned previously. The documentation listed is the current documentation for Kawasan Sinai -Merauke Area Tourism Information System Based on Religion, Culture, and Nature Tourism. The results of all testing methods show a 100% success rate, in accordance with website development planning. Thus, it can be concluded that the tourism promotion information system for visitors on Kawasan Sinai website has met the feasibility standards to be implemented and is ready to be used by users.The success of this project had a positive impact in enhancing the reputation of the sinal region as a promotional destination, as well as providing a smooth and satisfying user experience.

Abstract

Tabung gas elpiji menjadi salah satu kebutuhan primer masyarakat di Indonesia. Salah satu komponen pendukung faktor keselamatan dalam penggunaan tabung elpiji adalah karet perapat (rubber seal). Saat ini Pertamina melakukan outsourcing ke berbagai industri produksi karet untuk memenuhi kebutuhan suplai karet perapat tabung elpiji. CV Lingga Pratama sebagai salah satu industri yang menyuplai kebutuhan karet perapat masih menggunakan mesin press karet manual untuk memproduksi karet perapat tersebut. Kualitas dari karet perapat yang diproduksi menjadi sangat bergantung pada kelihaian operator dari alat press tersebut. Beberapa faktor yang berpengaruh pada kualitas karet perapat yang dibuat adalah suhu, tekanan, dan lama waktu press mesin terhadap bahan baku lembaran karet. Pada kesempatan kali ini telah dibuat suatu sistem yang terdiri dari mikrokontroler berbasis Arduino yang dapat melakukan pengukuran suhu secara contactless dengan menggunakan modul sensor suhu inframerah dan pengukuran tekanan dengan menggunakan load cell. Sistem ini dapat menampilkan nilai suhu yang terukur serta tekanan dari alat press melalui layar LCD kecil yang dapat dipantau oleh operator. Sistem juga akan memberitahukan operator melalui suara dari alarm apabila waktu yang telah ditentukan untuk melakukan proses press telah tercapai.

Abstract

Hybrid learning is a learning method that is increasingly being adopted in the post-pandemic era. Hybrid learning requires infrastructure that supports online learning that can be carried out freely and independently by students. Currently, Sekolah Binekas, as one of the well-known private schools in South Bandung area, still does not have an effective learning management system (LMS) infrastructure. To overcome this problem, a learning management system can be implemented using a microserver located at Sekolah Binekas (on-premises). Due to the current number of students that is not too large, for now, the server specifications required are not too high, so the microserver is still sufficient for current needs. The LMS used is Moodle which is commonly used. The activities done this time can help Sekolah Binekas to carry out hybrid learning for its students which can ultimately improve the quality of the students produced. Based on the results of the post-implementation survey, the results showed that, in general, Sekolah Binekas as a partner in this community service activity, were satisfied and hoped that similar activities could be carried out in the future. In the future, next activities that can be done could be activities that related with the implementation of the LMS at Binekas School, such as training of the LMS usage for teaching staffs, as well as activities to upgrade the LMS infrastructure to support better learning activities.

Abstract

The pandemic era brought extreme changes in every sector, including in the learning process which has changed from offline to online system. Even though the pandemic era is over, the habits of online learning are still happening in the academic sector. In this pasca pandemic era, online learning is not only still being done in higher education, but also in primary or secondary school. Sekolah Binekas is a primary school located in southern Bandung that has begun to implement hybrid learning. This school has already implemented the Learning Management System (LMS) platform, but its use is not optimal since several teachers are unfamiliar with their new system. Through these community services, the teacher may maximize the LMS’s features that are able to make it easy to dot the academic and administration activity from Sekolah Binekas.

Abstract

Hybrid learning, as a popular learning method to be used at different academic level, has the advantage of being a flexible and independent learning method which can be adjusted to each student's learning pace. In supporting hybrid learning, infrastructure upgrade is a must so that the system can fulfil dynamic requirement. Currently, Binekas School has already implementing a learning management system (LMS) platform. However, the existing condition of the LMS at Binekas School is not optimal since the architecture used does not allow to be accessed from an external network and the usage capacity is still not able to meet the needs of all students simultaneously. The current problems with the Binekas School LMS can be overcome by upgrading the capabilities of existing server equipment, both hardware and software. In addition, to increase the accessibility and reliability of the LMS system, it is necessary to integrate a hybrid architecture into the LMS platform, namely by combining on-premise servers with cloud-based architecture. The LMS platform used is Moodle which is one of the most popular LMS platforms. This community service activity is already succeeded in helping Binekas School to improve the capabilities of the existing LMS. Apart from that, by using cloud architecture, makes the LMS platform from Binekas School easier to access since it does not require users to be connected with Binekas School’s internal network. The Binekas School LMS platform can now be said to be fully functional and can be used as a model for other schools.
